I got another question I downloaded some fonts and I want to know where to extract them to?

...For some reason, all the buttons on GIMP are gone. like this!

Anyone know how to fix it??

There are many text effects, look in script fu for a few such as drop shadow and bevel to name a few. Also other ones such as glows you just use your common sense. Which seems to lack quite amazingly here :/.
For the glow make sure the text is on a different layer as always. Duplicate it, blur the bottom one by a few pixels on a guassian blur and then voila you have a glow, just colour it whatever you want then.I'm sure you can manage that.
To do an outline, have the text on a seperate layer, layer>transparency>alpha to selection. You will see your text is then highlighted. Make a new layer. Select>Grow and then choose 1 pixel and fill that layer in your desired outline colour then move it below the original text layer.
How do people not work out this by themselves , I mean I did after a bit of experimenting lol. Meh, whatever, kills some time in the day for me.
