NeoPixel - Coming to a Town Near You - Page 14

So basically this is for making a town out of pixels, and we all help and meld together parts and everything, and hopefully, we will get a..well PixelCity i meant Neocity?

well, i took a look at the PixelDam, and this seems pretty kewl

So we could make a little..or big..town with shops and roads named after the forums and stuff?

Yeah IDM was great, I remember his series of pixel-art consoles, they were awesome. TBH I'm a little hurt at the insinuation that no-one is doing pixel-art on neo - not popped into loungin' recently have you SS?

It's hard work but thoroughly rewarding, just a shame there aren't enough active "pixelers" to carry out a project like this.

This would be pretty cool if it actually happened. I would try some Pixel Art but I doubt that I'd have the patience. I would probably go through and hour then go super frustrated and give up.

I guess since nabo(starter of this thread) isnt gonna be on for a while, ill be semi in charge of neopixel? anyone else can help, guugly you can help bigtime also

i say we start off with some roads...then we can insert buildings, what do you guys say?
i also had an idea that some of the building and the theme of the neopixel should be based off forum?
like Grand Theft Auto Street?
or Pokemon Park?
Or Graphics Lane?

Nice to see such a burst of activity but I just wanted to point out a couple of things in relation to this thread.

Firstly, this is not "Sample Graphics for Pixel Art" so unless you're contributing to "NeoPixel" this is not the place for your pixel art. That means you Guugley, no more Pixel-Fruit for you.

Secondly, this project is currently by all intents and purposes dead. If you guys are interested in starting it back up again then the only way it's going to work is by an adequate amount of interest being shown. Without a list of committed and talented pixel-artists there just isn't much point I'm afraid.

Thirdly, lotsofsloths I appreciate your enthusiasm but I think you've underestimated the project's complexity. Start by following some tutorials and read through this thread to get to grips with how pixel-art works. The roads you've made are nice and all but they're not actually isometric pixel art that we'd be using for NeoPixel. Also, no offence but the site you linked to is a very poor copy of PixelDam. I'm not trying to be rude, quite the opposite in fact - it's great to see people excited about PixelArt but as I said in my second point, this project will only work with a team of committed, talented people.
