[Help] Official Photoshop Help Thread

Okay, this is a big request I know, but my photoshop has just recently went down and it'd be appreciated if someone could aid me.
Granted this thread is not about such requests like this, but alas here's my plea.

If anyone could help in cutting out the other characters in this picture and leaving John Locke in the middle. It'd take the magic wand tool, recolouring in missing sillhouhette and about 2-5 mins.
Again, Locke's the 14'th person from the left and is the only character with his back turned. Just him left with the background and the other characters cut out (Dog included) is what I'm going for with emphasis on Locke.



If anyone can help, you would be a savior, if not I understand.

The Extract Filter was removed from Photoshop CS4. If you actually purchased the software you can go into your disc and locate the folder called "goodies". There you'll find the plugin to place the filter back into photoshop.

Or I'm sure you can find it on the web.

Select both your logo and the background layer. You'll have to group all the layers together if it's in multiple pieces. With both objects selected select the Move Tool and locate the new align options on the top tool bar. Click both Align Vertical Centers and Align Horizontal Centers.

From what that guy has said It's a vector. There is no quick fix filter, or technique.
Best way to start learning how to do that? Bust out Illustrator, or the pen tool, and start tracing. You might want to take into account that he/she probably spent a few hours on that.

But yeah It's learn to vector/vexel or nada.

The problem is, I'm not sure what to do about the top of the 'ears'. What should I be doing? (CS4)
