The biggest problem (if you can call it that) is that the G&A (or rather the people that comprise it) are growing up and getting out in the world, realizing their commitments, neoseeker and the G&A take a back seat of sorts. It's a shame but it can't really be helped.

Hopefully we can get some new folks through here and sort of create the next wave of graphic guys who can keep this place alive.

It's just such a chore to try and get people in here. >.>

Hey, I think it would be a cool idea to have a second round of the CD cover thing. That was awesome fun.

well summer is coming to a close and people are starting school/college/uni/work soon, that either means people will have more nights to mess around on photoshop as they won't be staying out at friends or partying (as the animals of g&a do) too much, or they'll be busy with other commitments.

Ok seriously, the G&A forum has never gone to shit until now. There's so little activity, it's no wonder there isn't any sort of inspiration. I'm open to help. It's not like I'm always busy; there's always time if you make time.

No c'mon guys, brainstorm. It's not windowlicker's or Vector's obligation to get things going.

SotW is definitely not going to do anything. It's doesn't bring any sort of inspiration, just a bit of a competition tbh. It worked out for a bit, but that's only because it was an easier way to make something with little time and boost the forum's activity. A Creative Arts competition could work out, but I think it's best to bring that up after smaller events are finished. I'm sure everyone is going to shout "yeah I'm in" and then come up with a last minute entry. The inspiration has to be active in order to start a big comp like that.

Tbh, making the Graphics Battles and Graphics Request subforum was a bad idea from an activity standpoint. I mean, it was good to clean up the place a bit, but throwing all the 'creative' ideas into the Battles forum kind of drew attention away from the main forum. Maybe that was just because of the moderators at the time wanting to throw everything into that forum, but hey, who's to say for sure. Then again, that's just my opinion - figured I'd just put in my two cents.

Anyway, it would be very nice to get another Creative Arts thing going, especially since I'm itching to do something nice in Photoshop in preparation for my Graphic Design course portfolio. It should probably be advertised more than just in the GD though, ie: In the Community Events forum, and I'm sure the mods in Loungin' wouldn't be against helping us out somehow, putting something in there.
