I'm assuming when you say "invisible" you mean "transparent".
Anywho;
Layer> Transparency>Add Alpha Layer
Now press "U", click on the white background and press the "delete" button. If there are some remains of white, press "SHIFT E" and start erasing them.

The white background needs to be deleted. You could try the select area by color tool, but with a low intensity to only select the white background and not the white in the actual sprite. Do that for each layer, and it should come out as transparent.

The easiest way is to put the background on it's own layer and duplicate it, putting one behind each frame of the jumping shaymin. Then for each of the shaymin frames (make sure the shaymin frames have transparent backgrounds, not white!), merge it down onto the background. It's easier to do and explain, but it creates a larger file. If it ends up being too big, I'll tell you about the more complicated way.

2. That's kind of a vague question. Are you having trouble with anything in particular? Because pretty much all I can tell you is that you need to edit and/or create it, save it, and upload it. There are loads of tutorials online for learning techniques on how to do certain effects, but if you don't even know how to get started, maybe you can look through the Gimp Manual.

3. GIMP 4.6.6 doesn't exist, so I'll assume you are talking about GIMP 2.6.6. When only the last number of a version number changes, it's usually only a minor update. On the GIMP website, it clearly states that it is only a bug-fix update. You will only see new features once the GIMP 2.7 or GIMP 2.8 series comes out. Note that the odd numbered GIMP series are beta versions, meaning they will have new features, but also a lot of bugs.

Can someone explain how to make a render 'glow'? I mean like the white glowing outline that makes the render appear as if it is glowing. Can someone explain to me how to do that?
