Jets15-
Neo dojo: Well first off you could've added a gradient
it's good other then that the text could use some work, too.
shadow darkness:
this looks good the banner is what the text says it is,in other words, it actually looks like mario is brawling a dark rayquazza.
the fight: that is a cool animation, great use of the path tool but I don't like the little blur of the brush on links arm and on ganondorfs on it looks even sloppier.
riddle-
I like the green one the best. it flows well, looks good too.

re: Sample Graphics » Turn off the Sun, Pull the Stars From the Sky

I'm beginning to hate birth of a hero, seeing as its being used all over the place, so i wont comment on that but:
jets:
First piece:
the transition is too quick and the brushing obscure the characters a little too much. Ganondorf could also de with a better background. You should try smudging and blending in your images a little more. the blurring transition is nice idea though

Second one:
same comments as the first one in terms of blending, also the background needs some flow to draw your eye to the focal. The text also seems to jump about in brightness a little which is slightly annoying :s

try following a few more tutorials to give you ideas on what to do for a background.

Sixth Gauge:
what a brilliant piece. Everything works well from the colouring to the typography which is brilliant imo. I love the shapes in the background, and the depth you've created. The book is a excellent touch and the scattered text works really well. I can't actually find a fault, but if pushed I'd say something bout the paper airplanes seems kinda off, I think I don't like them overlapping, or the spacing between them, but I think thats more personal taste. Overall its very professional, and very well done.

Reuploaded due to an apparent problem:

Jets15

the top one has a bit of a problem with going from one slide to the other, it dissolves then switches, but it doesn't really fit
the bottom one; the text keeps messing up and there is too much empty space

Sixth Gauge
i honestly can see anything wrong with your piece

Default_951
still doesn't work for some reason

i threw this together, i don't think i did a very good job with the text, though

re: Sample Graphics » Turn off the Sun, Pull the Stars From the Sky

Jets15: As default said the transition is too quick , I ain't diggin the gray it looks horrible. you should always draw attention to he stock (which is usallly your focal point) the choice of text is annoying and hard to read.
Default_951: nice piece, though the transprent sun doesn't look to good and the jagged edges on the half circle doesn't look great other then that it's good.

best player ever: the text is bad and ,it's very plain, you should draw attention to the focal point.

6th: the colors in this piece really clash, especially the yellow, red, and purple. Maybe try changing them so they look a bit more pleasing to the eye.

re: Sample Graphics » Turn off the Sun, Pull the Stars From the Sky

I didn't want the colors to be representative of the actual mood within the piece, I wanted them to portray the opposite. It made sense to me to go with a pop art inspired piece, but with an Andy Warhol "Marilyns" spin.

The colors clash, yes, but that is indicative to the conflicting moods the colors and the message [of the piece] portray.

re: Sample Graphics » Turn off the Sun, Pull the Stars From the Sky

The colorizing of the typo is nice, but with all the surrounding black and the inner portion a good amount burned, it doesn't provide enough breathing space [for the inner portion]. Resulting in me having to study the image and look up some of the stocks to see what I was looking at.

Isn't that what I want? If you looked/thought about the piece more than just a quick glance I think I've done my job.

Also, thanks for your points.

Edit: I re-read the rules of the collage and apparently we're to refrain from posting our entries before the judging process is done so I've deleted it.

I don't necessarily think thats what you want from onlookers. The message/meaning would be something you'd want to be pondered at. However, I don't think the physicality of the image should be a struggle for viewers to distinguish.

Your text is getting repetitive. It's nice, but you use it too much. Same with that style of background.

Mario doesn't blend in well either. :\

*reads his custom title and cracks up*

Anyways, overall it's alright, the background is pretty good and all but i'd really advise you to make the quality of your banners higher. (PNG is good to make it high quality but i think the stocks you pick are just bad quality from the start) I think you shouldn't of cut of parts of his legs and hat too. - jetz15
