No, it's cool. So far, there's only three of us who has their entry just about as ready. So those three will be judge hopefully tomorrow or Wednesday.

Here's my entry. Not totally happy with it to be honest, I quite like the overall effect but am a bit disappointed with the mouth area. Stocks used were the woman, the skull and the pumpkins.

Sorry, not gonna be able to put anything in. I actually started one but it's far from finished, and I'm not even too fond of it.

Overall, the entries were pretty good. The stocks might not have been the easiest to compile together, but your end results made good use of what you had. Shame we didn't get a few more entires, but that's often the way.

1. Zeta
I like the composition of the piece (good use of text too), and the idea was pretty good too. The floating head looks pretty convincing, and the smoke works well here. Few issues however. First off, the red wash over everything makes the piece feel a little flat. Also, I think you the positioning of the skull stock in the middle ball needs a bit of work to give it a more convincing spherical shape; as it is it sort of looks too superimposed upon the image.

2. Sphinx
You very narrowly missed out on the top spot. I like what you've done to the image; definitely creepy, but as you pointed out yourself, the mouth needs a bit of work. Apart from that, there's not a lot more to say about it, kind of wish you did a little more with the image (perhaps edits on her hands to show bone or something?).

3. Trojanman
Good idea, but the execution wasn't quite there. What lets it down mainly is the car and headlights. The light from the headlights doesn't look real, it's a bit too sharp. With all the fog around the light would be a lot more diffuse. Also, given the light source on the woman, I think her front should be darker (which would also help her look a little creepier, I feel). You were nearly there with everything, it was just the finishing touches that needed work.

It's all good if you can't Windowlicker, but I'll appreciate it if crick were to judge. :<

Btw Sphinx, I *bleep*ing love your entry.

There is absolutely no way I can say this without coming off like a complete dick so I'm just gonna come out and say it - what is special about Sphinx's? Am I missing something? To me it's just the woman stock with the pumpkin mouth which looks odd and I'm guessing the eye thing is some blending setting from the skull which also to me looks bad? Other than that it's just some nice lighting effects as well as improved focus.

Once again I don't intend to come off like an arsehole but I'm confused as to why it has placed first and second twice. Admittedly I've had no sleep so maybe it's my drowsiness which is skipping over some important detail or something.

I agree but the mouth and the eye look bad. :s
