Stupid question but can people share the serial code?

The biggest update was between 7.0 and 8.0, hence the name change. However, CS-CS3, the differences aren't so much in the sense of new features but are nearly all behind the scenes. For example, using the Brightness/Contrast feature in CS2 is absolutely horrible. However, CS3 made it much more impressive. If you're running CS3 right now you can see the difference by selecting the "legacy" option as legacy will put rearrange it back to how it would look during CS2.

There are a few new options along the way such as the Quick Selection Tool, a filter or two, and the sort. Keep in mind, though, that if you're following a tutorial for CS and you're using CS3 there could very well be a difference in outcome.

You have to load the brushes via the brush option window.

Click drop down box that allows you to choose the brush and size > Click the triangle in the far right corner > load brushes

Just to add on you can always double click your downloaded brush and it'll open photoshop with those brushes automatically. Which ever is easiest for you.

i got cs3 a while back, i downloaded a lot of brush sets, but whenever i try to load them, they don't show up, does anyone know why?

This probably makes sense for those who used GIMP and then jumped to Photoshop, or to those who use both GIMP and Photoshop.

In GIMP, when you had a selection, you could right-click it and choose "Grow selection", so you could make your selection bigger without deselecting it. Is there a way to do that in Photoshop?
