WELL, it is NINJA GAIDEN after all...though I heard they tweaked the difficulty further this time around? There is supposed to be like 5 or 6 difficulty settings in total, or something like that?

If you think it is hard now, imagine playing it on the hardest difficulty...

I'd probably end up throwing the controller...and I've never done that before (not on a hard surface anyhow)

Other then the difficulty, how does it play? Oh, and what difficulty are you playing with?

Considering the way he wrote the post, I'd say he's working through normal.

As far as I'm aware, it has the same difficulties as NGB. Ninja Dog through Master Ninja. Ninja Dog is supposedly easier, and every other difficulty is supposedly harder.

I have the Collectors edition, but I can't bloody play it, it is irritating...I pre-ordered it, but since I'm at my dad's, I can't play it till I get back...

Oh, does anyone know if the Collectors edition (or pre-orders in general) came with a poster, perchance?

this game is crap!i liked the demo alot and i got the game but its so difficult it gets ridiculous after a whille.i mean dont get me wrong,i dont mind playing and playing until i manage to get passed the bosses on other games,ive been stuck numerous times before and i would always keep at it a until i get it but this is something else!ive been stuck on the boss at the hayabusa village for a month now!i hate the frikin game!!!i dont see the point in playing a game thats so difficult you have to spend so long to pass.its supposed to be that you play to have fun!NOT TO START GETTING PROZAC TO CALM DOWN!temco realy screwed it up!i got it sitting on the shelf until i either gather the patience to play it again or find cheats!

It really isn't that hard. Though you might want to drop it down to Ninja Dog the first time you play through. Gives you a chance to get used to the controls and get the hang of the tactics with out the insane difficulty of normal.

I'm on my second run though already on level 18 on normal and aside from the annoying Ghost fish I really haven't found anything really impossible.

Like everything else in Gaiden, there's a knack. The knack with the ghost fish is the Vigoorian flails. Learning to time your combo with them. Typically I just a normal 'square, square square' combo, or hit them with the cremator. You just have to learn to get them all in time to stop and start your next combo before the next group of them spawns and gets to you.

Very hard mode does exactly what it says on the tin.

Oh I know how to beat the fish. I just hate them more than anything else in the game. I absolutely hate climbing the core with them covering the outer stairs.

Yeah I know that feeling. The stairs are annoyoing because the fish come in one long string so you can't judge when to stop and start your combos.

I can't even get past the Dojo on Very Hard. It's not overly hard, it's just having a level 1 Dragon Sword with a room full of White Spider ninjas storming around your head is practically impossible. No good combos, ninjas with windmill shurikens and a lifebar the length of a matchstick. I'll get there eventually with a lot of frustration. =P

Can't judge when to stop? Pull up your karma score in-game and leave it up.

Easiest way to tell if you're done with all the ghost fish. The score goes away once an encounter is through. Pops back up with another encounter.

how exactly do u get into dog mode?what do u choose on the screens asking u if u wanna abandon the way of the ninja?is it that you have to get killed 3 consecutive times?start,get killed,start again get killed,and again?or what?

I understand what you're saying, but I was also under the impression that you didn't know when they stopped swarming.
