	Log in to remove this sponsored message Before getting into discussion I don't want any spamming in here or flaming. Now, both are spectacular games made by the same company. While Final Fantasy is a more popular franchise is more on Stateside than in his own home, Japan. That can be say about Dragon Quest, it is more popular in Japan than in the USA. Which one do you like more? For me since I started to play DQ games I must said DQ. FF is more like an hype and the only game that I really enjoy was FFVII. FFXII wasn't that good, while I really like the battle system the story which is FF most know, whats lacking. 	For quite a while the Final Fantasy franchise was more popular in the east... wouldn't be surprised if it still is, whilst in less demand. I prefer Dragon Quest though, where FF really hasn't introduced any monster based game; the actual Dragon Quest/Warrior titles have more spectacular storylines in my opinion.

A Final Fantasy Monsters might be pretty cool Not really, there was no collecting, breeding... they were merely tools for the Hunters and Nou-Mou classes to use [the ones with bells]. I think a tactics style, monster games with FF beasties would be sick though ^^

	IIRC, FFX came really close to a DQM game, except there was no breeding. All you did was hunt monsters and store them in the farm to fight with. I don't recall any sort of monster capturing involved other than the Aeons for the Summoner. I never played FFX-2 but I understand it was full of minigames with the characters from FFX. You can unlock monsters to fight if you capture a certain number of certain monsters, etc. And the judging system in FFTA was fine, imo. And if you switch jobs alot it can get kinda of difficult to remember which kind of sword you were using. Get into a battle that has No Greatswords and you don't remember if your using a greatsword or some other kind of sword and there was no easy way, as I recall, to check. 	The monster arena in FFX was fine, but it was too limited to make a good comparison to any DQM game.
