My fiance just bought me it for easter, really looking forward to playing it on Sunday, Just wondering if its good as a sequel to FF12 and if it really gives you that Final Fantasy feeling.

In all honesty it can seem a bit childish at times (keep in mind the DS target group), but I got into it pretty good, and it was great to roam around Ivalice again......it made me feel at home. The familiar faces and places really turned this game into a little gem IMO. They build a bit more on the supporting characters of FFXII as well, so you will enjoy this game.

I think it's fantastic. Best Real Time strategy game ever imo, its really great in the way it still has a story and seems to have more character interaction than 12 but the main focus of the game is still the battles. I've been playing for 10 hours now and I haven't found it hard to the point where I've given up, but haven't found it so easy as that I haven't died lots... It can be time consuming but I think that by introducing the system of even if you die, you get a bit of EXP, it makes you feel like you haven't lost the last hour of you life like you felt when you lost a big battle in Tactics

prolleh one of the best DS games i've played so far, and yet it seems under appreciated ._.

The only diffrence was at level 37 you could beat the final boss Easily in the japan version and like 70 in the english.

Level 70!! Blimey. I'm on chapter 6 and im only level 26... I better get grinding

lol lvl 70 is a joke i beat it at lvl 45's and had hardly any trouble.

Heh, I'm loving it so far, granted i'm not very far into the game but its cool the way it has loads of the espers from each game, such as Diabolos and Siren

Yeah! I love seeing all the old types of espers etc. I was wondering though, The other types of Shiva - I can't remember the names - are they new? Because I can't remember seeing them before, unless they are in a game I haven't played

Hey, i was wondering if this game is good, if you havn't played the orriginal final fantasy XII?

I haven't played any final fantasy games on DS and I was wondering if it was gd if I bought this game!

Yeah, it's a good game. It's what made me go out and buy another ps2 (Disc read error on the ps2brick two years ago) and get the original title. So I could understand certain things they were talking about in the sequel. I didn't realize the original was going to feel so stagnant and narrow. It doesn't have that "final fantasy" feel. They made a nice sequel jumping into the Portable market though. I like how it mimics the title before it (by reusing gambits, among other things you'll notice) and freshens things up a bit. It's like the original title on a small screen. And yeah GLIGAR get this title it's well made, probably one of the best on the DS. From the menus, Stylus use, Battle system, abundant FMVS, and gaining summons with the ring of pacts, it's all very well done for a DS title. I don't think you'll regret it.

Interesting...I was told Ring of Fates was HEAPS better.
