IGN.com say that October 3rd is the US release date for Star Trek: Encounters on PlayStation2, but say Europe is "unreleased".

Amazon.com have Star Trek: Encounters available for pre-order, but Amazon.co.uk have nothing in their games section. Nor does UK-based Play.com.

The official Bethesda site on Star Trek: Encounters has no word on specifics, only sticking to the fact that they've made the game alongside Scotland-based 4J Studios. So at least they've made the game in Europe.

Will Star Trek: Encounters get a UK release? It seems to be only a budget game: $19.99 on all sites. Will it be seen here in the UK, and if not, why not?

i recently emailed the makers & they said a UK release date would be announced "soon"

Never fear: it comes out in PAL format for the United Kingdom this coming Friday, 1st December.

Failing that, all the other Bethesda Softworks games are coming out a week later, Friday 8th December, so it'll at least be out then.
