LMA - Dealing with players

Hey all,

Am playing LMA 2007 on Xbox 360 and when I start a career I usually start in the lowest league and try to work my way up.

What I struggle against though is I manage to find young, good players for cheap as chips, and they play in my side for a bit but as soon as they are performing well they constantly get heaps of transfer offers from rival clubs (even though I have them on a Unavailable Setting).

What happens then is, they get frustrated cause I have to constantly reject transfer bids for them, which leads them to either not re-signing their contracts and leaving the club for free or wanting to go on the transfer list and me having to get rid of them.

Anyone have any tips to get around this... I understand that players will want to develop themselves and play for bigger clubs but it seems really excessive and most times they end up going to a shabby, unsuccessful club anyway...

Any ideas?

I get the same mate, i haven't found a way around it yet.

if a player with 2 or more years left on his contract wants to leave though i dont put him on the list until 1 year left or until a suitable replacement has been found.

I know how you feel though, it does happen a bit too often

The way around it is dont do anything when you get the offer and leave it for the bidding team to withdraw their offer. That way your players dont see it as you rejecting them and don't ask to be tranfer listed.

that works until a few teams offer for that player, then he feels dissapointed he hasnt had a chance to improve his career, then a few more teams later he askes for the transfer.

I have managed to settled a couple of players down with a new contract so i suppose its just man management
