I've always been a big fan of the other burnout games Is this one worth buying?

I also notice that the origional is only $20 now should I get it or the ultimate box? what is the difference?

I think it is an amazing game, and it is completely free roam as well. The Ultimate Box comes with all the free updates as well as the party Pack.

I liked the previous games but this one IMO was, dare I say it... a little dull.

Which would be the best route the ultimate box or just the regular?

Depends. If you have a shitload of real life friends who like to gather around and play videogames, then the Ultimate Box may be the way to go. It comes with the Party Pack, which is basically a pack that allows you to pass the controller and compete with your friends ONE AT A TIME (no split screen). You guys can take turns with stunt runs, completing challenges, Road Rages, etc.

Plus there are extra Trophy's for the Party Pack. If you don't care about any of that then get the regular game.

So the ultimate box only has party mode? If thats the case I can buy the regular game for $20 and the party mode for $10. Also about how many extra trophies are we talking? Is this game like the others where you could spend forever playing and it still would be fun?

Yeah, as far as I know, which makes one wonder why they are charging $39.99 for this when it is really nothing more than the $20.00 game plus the $10.00 Party pack. Anyone have a rational answer to that?

Only that the rest of the updates are on the disc. Maybe it's a convenience thing. Personally I went with the $20 version, and while it did take a couple hours to download the updates, was all I needed.

If you want driving, crazyness and action all in one neat package, THIS is the game for you! I've had it for nearly a year and it's still fun even though I got 101% on it like boxing day last year

I'm thinking of getting this game too. Had some of the first Burnout games for PS2 and absolutely loved them! And now this one looks good, and is just £14

From the reviews though, i dont think it's worth paying more for the Ultimate Box edition. Everyone says that the updates can be downloaded automatically anyway and i wont use the party feature....

i have had this game sens it 1st was relesed and NOW with the addons like the ledgend cars like the GHOASTBUSTERS ECTO-1 car and the cop cars this game is NOW much much better than it ever was.

you should defo buy burnout paradise, there is endless amounts off fun to be had on this game and it takes a long time to complete..
