Eureka Seven has Visions of US Release
The latest in the anime series is headed stateside.

December 14, 2006 - Today Namco Bandai announced it will bring Eureka Seven Vol. 2: The New Vision to North American PlayStation 2's next spring. Based on the anime series Eureka Seven, the game is a sequel to last October's Eureka Seven Vol. 1: The New Wave.

The New Vision will serve as a prequel to the anime show, which focuses on aerial combat. "Eureka Seven Vol.2 has ties to the main animation storyline but will provide original content that enhances the Eureka Seven experience," said Naruo Uchida, Namco Bandai's Vice President of Bandai Localization.

The game's star is Sumner Sturgeon, an air sport athlete. When a long lost love enlists his help to thwart a dangerous plot, he sets out on a quest that will end at the start of the anime series.

Eureka Seven Vol. 2: The New Vision will be released in Japan December 31, 2006, and in North America spring 2007.
