As the great rivalry approaches it's sixth annual rendition I'm sure many fans accross britain will be gunning for the game of their choice. This thread is to discuss the differences between the two games and where you think the current changes will take them.

I'll get both lol... Since they are out on the same day its my chance to shock the guys behind the counter haha.

I think the differences will be the same as they always are. Fifa will have better graphics and licensing etc. but PES will have better gameplay. I will hopefully get both but i am more interested in PES to be honest. FIFA will run PES closer this year.

This year Fifa 07 is amazing, i hope they put the demo on XBLM later today so people can see just how much they have changed the gameplay of Fifa 07.

Yep, contrary to popular belief, many fans accross britain aren't FIFA of Pro Evolution fanboys. I even have a cousin who knows Pro Evolution is better but still prefers FIFA for it's freestyle and carefree approach to football, in fact that's why many people loved FIFA '99, myself included.

i have always been a fifa fan and always got the game but i played pes5 and thought that it was bttr than fifa but this yr i played a demo for pes and fifa and i have to say pes have changed nothing i kno frm mi uncle so yh fifa look to be the bttr team soz to all u pes fans

i have never had a problem with Fifa having better graphics than PES, but the difference is way more for the xbox 360. The graphics for PES are still xbox 360 standard, but only just. I will probably get both, but i would still choose PES because although FIFA sounds like it has got its crappy gameplay out, it is still always hyped up and never delivers so i am standing by PES... for now

i prefer PES because of its freedom and speed, fifa is sketchy

Bought Pro Evo 6 for the PS2 & 360. Only had a quick game on the PS2 version as I've only just bought my 360. Also bought Fifa 07 for 360 I'm surprised but on the 360 Fifa slightly shades it & is more difficult than Pro Evo. On the PS2 Pro Evo was always harder than Fifa. The gameplay on Fifa for the 360 is pretty much as good as Pro Evo & with all the licensed kits it's far more realistic especially with Konami's decision to scrap the edit mode on Pro Evo. The commentary yet again is far superior on Fifa with Martin Tyler & Andy Gray on the mics. Along with the starting line up of both teams & the announcer reading out the player's names. I was on Fifa today when I heard the announcer say something along the lines of 'Can *insert name* please go to the nearest steward.' Also towards the end of the match it tells you which exit the away fans should go to. How realistic is that! I know that isn't all that makes a football game but little things like that make it so much more real. With EA improving the gameplay on the 360 version of Fifa & Konami's failure to get the licensed kits for the majority of the Premiership, Fifa just shades it for me.

I got them both last thursday, and i have to say that Fifa 07 is the best, no one is ever online on PES 6, and it has hardly got any features.
