Bear with me. This is what I want to do:

I'm in my second season with Newcastle. I seriously need some money, so I went back to main menu, created a new player, and altered an existing player's stats to 99 overall. Go back to manager mode so that I can sell those players for 60-70 million, yet the new player doesn't exist, and the altered stats are the same as before. No luck there, I'm afraid.

I know you can create a new player or alter a player's stats, and this WILL work when you start a NEW manager mode game. However, when you've already started a manager mode game, and you want to create a new player or alter an existing player stats, this won't show up when you reload your saved manager mode game. I don't really understand why not, unless the game developers deliberately stopped us from doing this.

You may suggest that I start a new game, but what I want is the option to sell those players to rival clubs, then re-alter the stats back to normal. I know this is cheating, but I need the money to buy decent players.

Anyone here can help?

PS: I have the PS2 game, so PC cheats doesn't apply.

As far as i'm aware unless theres some kind of gameshark or cheat, then i dont believe that you can altar stats once youve started manager mode, they will change in exibition, but nothing will change in season mode without starting new, sorry.

Why dont you just sell players you dont need, stick to 16-20 players have tickets to a high.... or move on to a new club?
