would you reccomend scouting players?
my friend has scouted a few players on his manager mode and the are ok but some are quite crap, he has this brilliant russian dude Boris Spartakov, and he is excellent a russian roy keane, but some are realy crpa like he scouted a young defender Ed Smith, his tackling was ok but his pace was realy poor and he didnt realy improve, so has anyone had good success with scouting players, and as i am buying the game soon, i will be starting a manager mode of my own, with manchester utd

I would recommend it although I have never came across Boris Spartakov.

i havent either but i once scouted a person call micheal greaves his ovrl after 4 seasons was 87 and i sold him for 69 mil

doesnt scouting just generate players? like the academy, that are unique to each file... thats what i always thought. so noone should have heard of boris spartakov except that guy.

and just improve the scout rating in staff upgrades and you get better results.

Scouting is great if your scout is at a high level, if hes not than its just worth waiting for the transfer window.

although i wouldnty get ur hopes up at starting with manchester united. you have to built your manager rating to manage bigger clubs, my rating is 6 on 4th season and still havent aquired man united

um...to manage big clubs you unlock them from the fan shop? manager rating has nothing to do with it...sorry to burst your bubble mate.

manager rating does effect it actully you have to have a manager rating of 8 to unlock man u

oh fair enough. its jsut that i have managed arsenal from the start. and i was pretty sure this barca file my cousin started was from the start aswell...

scouting is better then fifa 06

an example:

when beckham or another star stoppes withe play and you scout then you get a new beckham of 97 and 16 years old

when i now scout i get players of 40 till 60 mayby 70 i dont know

My scout is at the highest level and so far he always finds shit players who will only be average in 6 years. FFS

Although I came across a rear case where with a scout of level 7 I got an 84 striker Martin Shackell then I left Newcastle and came back 6 years later and he was 96 and the best striker in the premiership
Then afterwards when I got lots of money Scout level 10 was getting me 67's,68's!

I'm doing brilliantly in Manager mode, and heh, I've never scouted anyone.

i always scout cos you never know if ur gonna find hidden talent. i scouted the asia area and found a chinese player called Ri, im liverpool in my career and if gerrard is knackered then Ri stands in for him and he is about a 67 rating but he is great at tackling and he can shoot from range, the pefect centre midfielder. so i recommend people should scout!!!

I've scouted Brazilian Cintra, English Murray and Hignett.

All brilliant to be honest.

Make sure your scouting level is at 10, even though you won't get good enough players.
