Batman 3 : Possible Villains & Story

Where do you believe the story should go from here?

Personally, it's tragic Heath Ledger died and the Joker will be written out of 3. The third story was basically confirmed to focus on Two-face after his transformation in TDK with Joker appearing in the film as well. Now it sadly wont happen, not even with another actor playing the part (which is probably a wise move on their part). But how cool would it have been to see what Ledger could have done with the Joker in another installment.

Now I'm wondering if Nolan and Goyer will write the third film and bring in another villain. Rumors were rampart with The Riddler being next considered, and possibly even in this film (although completely false). What about Penguin? Another rumored villain prior to the Joker/Two-face confirmation. Another believable character and I'd love to see Nolan's approach to the character. Two disfigured, iconic villains in one film? Or would they remake Batman Forever and put Two-face and Riddler in the same movie again?

Perhaps leaving Batman 3 entirely a Two-face / Batman story. Since it will apparently be the final Nolan Batman film, let the circle complete itself and not introduce someone new, only to screw them up ala Raimi did with Spider-Man 3. Perhaps if nothing happens to Scarecrow, bring him back for one more too, only in a much bigger, sinister role as well.

How certain is it that there even will be a third Nolan Batman film though? If I can recall, I think Nolan said there were no plans but he wouldn't rule it out or something like that.

Joker shouldn't be featured in Batman 3 at all IMO. Having the Joker in it again with a different actor would just make the movie worse and no aspect of a Nolan Batman film should be bad.

I don't know too much about Batman in its comic books but how about maybe introducing a Robin somehow?

I think the perfect villain for a third movie is Hush. Fits Nolan's tone perfectly. Or at the very least Black Mask.

Hell no to Killer Croc. Just... no, no no. That'd be as worse as saying Clayface.

What about Zsasz? Hell, he was IN Batman Begins ffs! I don't know why it just dawned on me why he isn't in the sequel, or better yet, the third film considering he is still on the loose.

But would it be so wise to basically remake Batman Forever?

How about Mr. Freeze (although the effects would have to be pretty damn good for it to look realistic or somewhat convincing)?

{size=1 Bane and Two-Face's individual stories would be hard to coincide with one another.

I would rather see Nolan's take on the Riddler or Penguin than any of the others. Even if he has to work a bit harder to get them into the story.
