On The LOTR:ROTWK campaign, i get stuck, it is the mission where the orb is split into several different pieces, has anyone got any advice on how to win this level ?, i always get over-run even when i build units (any advice what units i should build) or any advice at all?, thanks in advance

Lionheart, can you please tell me how you beat this mission?

It's busting my butt.
The most shards I can get is 2.

After that even to rebuild my forces, takes a lot of resources and waiting around, and by that time, the AI has picked up 4 shards and beaten me.

Even if I send forces out to try and pick up other shards, I'm overwhelmed by the enemy, and in the meantime they destroy my mills, which means more waiting around, rebuilding those to build up more forces.

I've pretty much shelved the game because of this mission.
Please help.

I also as you know, found it challenging. I got the 2 shards but did NOT go after the other pieces. I found that if i went after the other pieces, the enemy got them quicker to there base. I built an army of rangers and then as soon as i was strong enough, hunted down the shards

the problem I have is that while trying to build up my troops they overrun the base.

How big is the force you have back at your fortress?
Also how do you defend it, whilst building up a big enough force of rangers to pick up the extra shards.

My problem is while I'm waiting, I get swarmed by the bad guys. Also once they pick up the shard, it seems impossible to catch up to them to try and take it back.

At one point I had 3 shards. To get the 3rd shard I had to go Southwest, near a river or something. I even picked up the shard, but they swarmed and killed me.

I had ALOT of battlions, i cant remember exactly, maybe 10 ??, keep 4 back and 6 forward (send more forward than back) or they swarm u

I just sent out a few cheap gundabad warriors to hold off the enemies around the shard wile I got some wolf riders to rush in and run away with the prize
