I love Football Manager, and in principle it is a great game but I've never known a computer game to be released that has so many glitches, errors and problems with it. I'm actually fed up now. First it was wiping my players histories a few seasons in, so I got the patch to sort it. Now after nearly 20 seasons my game crashes because of crash dumps. It's a joke. The game doesn't actually work for a prolonged period of time, and after one or two seasons it just totally falls apart. I definately won't be buying the next one and giving the lazy creators any more money for what is basically a shoddily put together game.

I am willing to keep this open as feedback and opinions on this versions game. But if this thread turns to spam, flaming or off-topic posting, it will closed and offenders punished accordingly.

Ok, I should have been more specific. I didn't want an arguement, just a general discussion on the games flaws. I am pretty annoyed right now with the game and it's many problems, and I wondered if anybody else had experienced anything similar.

are you on the 7.0.2 patch? because ive never had any serious problems with the game, theres the occasional glitch but nothing major, then again i haven't played 20 seasons.

I've had every version of Fottball Manager and I've never had problems like this one. A game released to the public should not need patches before it is remotely playable. There are also problems with regens in that for about two seasons the only decent regens were all right backs. I have screenshots of this. The player histories are what make the game good but they've messed that up and now I've lost a 20 season game. Surely the fun of manager sims is the ability to play them for long periods of time but this one is just unplayable.

Maybe the new FM will fix this, but I really doubt it and I'll stick to Champ Man or other games from now on.

I agree with your comment about how games shouldn't have glitches/bugs when they are released to the public but the reason they are there is because of the constant demand for the new product

It was in about 2012 that every decent regen was a rightback. Every game has it's glitches, but not glitches so big that it is impossible to play the game. For example, wiping every players history after 2 seasons.

Your right about that you shouldn't need a patch to fix so many bugs, and that they should be checked/fixed before the game is released. Still I think all the goods of this game easily outway the bad.

People are moaning about the glitches etc on the released game, but there is that much data if they tried ironing out every glitch it wouldnt be released until sometime next year, and people on here are already moaning about they want the demo out etc. i'll admit sometimes it makes me tear my hair out but is a great game the best manager sim around

Why would the trash that is CM do any better after all all the programmers that were in CM in the glory years are in Fm.
It has glitches yes but so what. Oh no, no Rooney! I find it more of a challenge having to find someone elsr to parner Owen.

I've never had any real problems with FM, maybe its you're PC.

It was never unplayable even before the patches, rooney's ban could be sorted out in FM editor and none of the other glitches caused me any problems.
