Ezra-Jane nodded as George closed the door behind him, and stood outside the room long afterward, attempting to calm herself down after the bizarre events of the day. She finally decided to take a trip to the Pokemon Center to heal up her Pokemon. As she waited for her Pokemon to be returned to her, she got on the PC to check her e-mail. Her inbox was mostly filled with spam mail about sexual dysfunction or some crap about Nigerian Princes, but there was one e-mail that seemed interesting. It was titled "The Spirit of Giving," and informed her that she ought to check her box. When she did, she found that there was a Pokemon in it. She withdrew it and found that she was now the trainer of a Smoochum. She released it and gushed. "Awwwww, you're so cute! Yes you are!" she exclaimed, as a few people around her looked at her strangely. She picked the small Pokemon up like one would a human child, and bounced it as it exclaimed "Smooch, Smoochum!" "You need a name, don't you?" she asked, rhetorically. "I think I'll call you Winne" she said, ignoring the fact that it was probably a silly comparison. "We just need to find you a Willie at some point."

She retrieved her Pokemon from the counter and walked out to a park to release them and allow them to play a bit. In the meantime she gave the Protein she had found to Winnie, and the Calcium to Estragon. Winnie ate her Protein happily, while Estragon ate the Calcium much like he did everything else; with a blank and mildly silly look on his face. Ezra-Jane widened her eyes and stared at him, attempting to imitate the look on it's face. She then screamed out "DUCK!" Estragon seemed slightly startled by this, and replied "PSY!" as he fell over backwards. She giggled and tried to figure out what her next move would be, as Vladimir snuggled up next to her, begging to be petted.

Withdraw Smoochum and name her Winnie

OOC: I mean, he was chill with me doing Yaska, if not happy that something similar to his own creation were being used, so I don't think it'll be a problem. And if it's Pokemon-based, I especially don't think it'll be an issue.

Also, just a general announcement, since some of you are climbing levels rather quickly, just informing you that the Grey City Gym is definitely within reach and doable for some of you, especially those with fighting-type Pokemon/moves. Just check to make sure I didn't mess up any of the stats on these guys. Thanks.

OOC: Yeah, I'll post up the Gym Leader stats once you guys get close to being in level range. Considering the draft I have for Edana's Pokemon (Red City Fire-Type Leader), once you get to the first gym, you'll be able to keep taking on Gyms with not too much leveling in between. Her Pokemon are between levels 11 and 13, but that's all tentative. I have to see what your guys' stats look like before I make anything concrete.[

The group rain to a staircase. Up they went, and they saw Deputy Walsh & Terran healing up their injured Pokemon.

"Terran!" Lizette called as they embraced.

"Is everything alright? Glad to see you're all alright." Walsh said, scanning the support group and seeing if any of them were injured.

"Where's Michael & Turnbow?" Vic asked, wondering where they were.

"Michael is up ahead, we need to go catch up to him," Terran said, recalling his Shroomish.

"... And Turnbow?"

Walsh & Terran looked at each other. They both hung their heads.

"... What!" Lizette cried, covering her mouth. It couldn't be. But it was.

"Damn," Vic commented, "Let's press on. Michael needs our help I'm sure."

Walsh nodded, "Let's go."

"Damn," Camille said angrily, recalling her fallen Pokemon. Michael's Caterpie had been the most consistently winningest Pokemon on his team, despite his tiny looks.

"We'll meet again, Michael Hamilton. Next time, you won't be so lucky."

With that, she darted backwards through the door.

It was then when the rest of the Main Group and the Support Group appeared.

"Michael! Are you alright?" Walsh asked, checking him for injuries.

"Let me heal your Pokemon," Lizette said, taking out her portable healing machine from her backpack, Michael placed his pokeballs in it.

Walsh then turned to Jack & Juliet, who had both been quiet. "Did you discover anything in your search?" He shot a look at Vic and Lizette too, in case they knew the answer.

Eileen, chasing after the man down a corridor watched him turn a corner, and Eileen, turning that same corner was faced with three doors.

As Ezra-Jane thought, she reached into her bag and pulled out her wallet, only to find her money almost gone. She sighed heavily. I need a job. I just got paid $500, and I'm almost out already she thought. I certainly don't want to work here in Purple City... I think I read something about a job last time she was in the Pokemon Center at Grey City, so I guess I'll go back there and figure out where that is and what it involves she thought, as she recalled her Pokemon and began the journey to Grey City's Pokemon Center.

Dan checked under the bed for the source of the insistent clamouring. It was dark, but he could see a handle sticking up from the floor. Since the bed was on wheels, he moved it out of the way. Underneath, there was a trap door of sorts, probably used as a fire escape. Lifting the door, he revealed a flight of stairs leading downward. He could see an regular, upright door at the bottom of the stairs.

Curiously, Dan walked down the stairs, closing the trap door behind him. Opening the other door, he entered what seemed to be the kitchen. To his right was the doorway to the dining room where he had eaten dinner with the Brewsters. The rattling seemed to be coming from that area. Dan decided to sneak a peek while trying not to be noticed.

Mortimer was tied and gagged to a chair trying to get free. He made muffled sounds because of his gag. The rattling must have come from his chair when he bounced against his bonds. Jonathan and Dr. Einstein stood around him. Clearly, they were the ones who had tied Mortimer to the chair.

“All ready for you, Doctor!” Jonathan said. He reached into a Gladstone bag on the table and pulled out a scalpel.

“I gotta have a drink. I can’t do this without a drink,” Dr. Einstein said. He had an exasperated look on his face while he pulled out a leather-bound flask. He tried to take a drink, but the flask was empty which only agitated him more.

“Pull yourself together, Doctor.”

“I gotta have a drink. Ven ve valked in here this afternoon there was wine here—remember?” He ran over to the china cabinet searching for the alcohol. “Vere did she put that?”

It took him a minute, but he found the wine. “Look, Chonny, we got a drink.” He took out two wine glasses and poured the last of the wine into each one.

Right as they were about take a drink, another loud bugle call blasted from upstairs. It must have been Teddy. They both dropped their glasses onto the floor.

“Ach Gott!” the doctor yelled as he gathered his composition.

“Danm that idiot!” Jonathan said as he started walking toward the stairs, “He goes next! That’s all—he goes next!”

“No, Chonny, not Teddy—that’s where I shtop—not Teddy!” Jonathan disappeared up the stairs with Dr. Einstein close behind.

Dan took the opportunity to untie Mortimer, but an officer suddenly came bursting through the doors, not even bothering to knock. “Hey! The Colonel’s gotta quit blowing that horn!” he said. He talked in either a New Jersey accent or a New York one; Dan could not tell.

“Who are you?” he asked as he readied a Pokeball, “I don’t remember seen you around before.” From the officer’s perspective, Dan was looking pretty guilty.

“Go Growlithe!”
