Log in to remove this advertisement Hello all, and welcome to Pokemon ~ The Continent of Yaska. This game is a Pokemon style game, with battle elements similar to the popular Fire Emblem series. In this new land, you are a young trainer, receiving your first Pokemon in Grey City from the famed Professor Conifer. The path you choose to take is yours and yours alone. Whether you choose to fight for good, evil, or yourself is all up to you and the decisions you make along the way. I'm new with hosting this, and the battle formulas may not be the best, but there will be time to try it out, and figure out what works and what doesn't work. I think this can be a great success & I hope we can have a good time with this. Thanks go to - Scarecrow3000, since the concept is similar to his Land of Vivica games. The Lost Soul, co-host of the original Molater, co-host of the origial, master of Microsoft Excel ThirteenOfTwo, Creator of the new & improved map v.1 Thread I v.1 Thread II The Continent of Yaska Spoiler: Information The Land of Yaska ![]() Courtesy of ThirteenOfTwo, cities are color-coded Grey City The smallest & most humble of Yaska's 9 major cities. The Gym Leader, Herman, specializes in Ice Type Pokemon Rainbow City A special city that is host to the Pokemon League, drawing crowds from all over the continent. Home to great battles. Many of the lands best trainers reside here to train. Also home to the Prized 'Rainbow Stone', a valuable artifact said to awaken the Legendary Pokemon dormant in the land. The Elite Four & The Champion ~ Wesley - Specializes in Bug-Type Pokemon Sylvia - Specializes in Steel-Type Pokemon Tusthantha - Specializes in Ground-Type Pokemon Illyana - Specializes in Ghost-Type Pokemon Marcos - Specializes in Dragon-Type Pokemon Spoiler: Team Chronos Team Chronos is an underground mafia/gang based in Black City. They are notorious in their endeavors and plague the land in order to learn the hidden secrets of the ancient Pokemon, who they wish to control and use to claim dominance over the land. Long ago, it was said that the Rainbow Ball was created by teams of expert Pokeball makers in order to stop the Legendary Pokemon, capturing them, and sealing them away in the depths of dark places that few would ever venture. There were 7 Legends sealed away. Rayquaza, a large dragon of great might. Kyogre, lord of the sea. Groudon, lord of the land. Dialga, lord of time. Palkia, lord of space. Mewtwo, a man-made Pokemon created used to combat these legends. Mew, the mysterious Pokemon whose essence was used in creating Mewtwo. Considered a potential threat, it too was sealed away. These seven Pokemon, if all unleashed again, could reek havoc on the continent of Yaska, and the ambitious Murray, leader of Team Chronos, is willing to do whatever it takes to find the secrets of their location, and how to unlock the Rainbow Balls that keep them bound away. Team Chronos' influence is widespread, and plagues nearly ever inch of Yaska. Murray has an army of loyal subordinates who also share his dream, and will follow him to the end to see it through. Team Chronos is only opposed by police authorities across the land, and due to their smaller numbers, keeping the peace has been difficult. Maybe a great hero will rise up and disband Team Chronos... How It Works Spoiler: What It's All About The Battle system in this is going to be turned based, just like the Pokemon games. When in a battle, unless the attack is a surprise attack, the first attack goes to the Pokemon with greater speed. From there, you have a multitude of attacks of varying types and damages, each with their own individual stats. Let's look at a staple of the Pokemon world, the Tackle attack. Tackle: Normal, 2 ATK, 85 Hit, 5 Crit So in order it's -Type of Move (To determine weaknesses/resistances of the opponent, as well as STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus)) -Base Damage as well as whether the added damage comes from the Pokemon's Attack or Special Attack stat. -Hit Rate. (Only altered by supports and conditions) -Critical Hit Rate. (Only altered by supports and conditions) -Although not seen here, any added affects will be tacked on to the end of the move, such as the chance of the move causing the opponent to be poisoned, and so forth. The Battle Formula is this (Pokemon (Sp.)Attack + Base (Sp.)Attack) + (1/5)(Pokemon Attack, if same type attack bonus is in use, otherwise plug in 0) - Opponent (Sp.)Defense = (Damage Done x (0)/(1/4)/(1/2)/(1)/(2)/(4) ) = Total Damage x Critical Hit (1 or 3, depending on whether it's a critical or not) The last numbers represent weakness and resistances from as follows -Immunity (No Damage) -1/4x Damage - Dual Resistance -1/2x Damage - Single Resistance -1x Damage - No Resistance/No Weakness -2x Damage - Single Weakness -4x Damage - Double Weakness Double Attacking works like this +3 Attack Speed gives you a 1.5x attack bonus, as in you do the first attack for normal damage, with a second attack at half. +6 Attack Speed gives you a 2x attack bonus, with two normal damage attacks. Each move has its own AS reduction. To determine the difference you calculate Attacker's AS - Defender's speed. It's a fairly simple formula, so doing the battles will be quick & easy. Leveling Up Leveling up works much more like the Fire Emblem style of leveling. You gain experience out of 100, and every 100 points gained is a new level up, giving the player 3 stat points to implement in any stat of their choice, however, you may not pile on points in one stat, and must distribute them to three different stats. Evolution will be based on the levels used in the canon Pokemon games. Any other kind of evolution that is not based on a level up has a modification to it, which will be its own level up, which is a hidden number that you will have to wait & find out for yourself. Stone-based evolutions are still to be used in this game as well, but be wary, stones are expensive & elusive. At evolution, you gain 10 stat points to distribute amongst your stats, however you may not place more than 3 points in any one stat during this process. The Experience Formula will work like this - (Opponent's level - Your level) + 10 = Experienced Earned. (If EXP<0, automatically one point) Each hit or miss will net you half of the points earned from this formula. Any knockout/KO will reward triple experience. So here's an example (5 - 4) + 10 = 11 (Hits get 5 (Rounded down), misses get 1, & a KO nets 33) However, EXP gained per hit/miss is ignored when a KO against the opponent is made. Only in a situation where the User's Pokemon battles and does not score a KO, do the hits & misses get calculated It's not overly complicated overall, so I hope this will be an easy & fun time for us all. No repeats, first come first serve with starters. There will be opportunities to get the others for sure throughout the game.) Supports & Affinities Spoiler: Info Supports are something implemented in the Fire Emblem series, and are bonds between characters that are earned over time that boost each character's skills when near each other. In this game, I'll be implementing supports between trainers, and the support bonuses go into effect during double battles in which the two partners battle together, boosting their stats. These stat bonuses come from affinities for your character, chosen when you create your character. White: +1 SP. DEF Black: +1 SP. ATK Grey: +5 Hit Red: +1 ATK Blue: +1 DEF Yellow: +1 SPD Purple: +5 Crit Green: +10% status chance on damage moves. Now, a base support of C, the lowest level adds the bonus from each affinity. With the next level up, B, the stats double, and with the elusive A support, bonuses triple, and then add. So two Red affinity characters with an A support gain +6 ATK on all pokemon they use in the battle together. The maximum number of supports, ideally an A with one person and a B with another. Supports are gained through extensive roleplay & involvement with another character. When you think you're ready for a support, PM me & I'll deem you worthy or unworthy for it at the time that you ask Item List Spoiler: All of Them Pokeball: Catches Pokemon; +Catch when opponent HP low ($50) Great Ball: Catches Pokemon; +Catch when opponent HP low. That number subtracted by 100 is how great of a chance they have of escaping. Pokeball = Health x4 Great Ball = Health x3 Ultra Ball = Health x2 So for example, a Pokemon that you're attempting to catch with a Pokeball with 10 health remaining, as a forty percent chance of not being caught, so thus there is a sixty percent chance, of being caught. The Missions One of the many things to do in Yaska is to take on various tasks, usually for a reward, as well as a chance to battle opponents & meet NPCs & even PCs. When you're interested in tackling a mission, PM me telling you want to do it, with the mission's name in the title. If you 'white out', you lose the mission, & wake up in the last town you were in. You don't lose any experience or money. If you're smart, you should not be losing all that much. But maybe a twist of fate will prevent all of that from happening... We'll see how the story goes. Missions are added periodically. Also note secret missions & side-missions can be unlocked by doing various things, whether within a mission or without. (Missions italicized have been claimed. If you wish to tackle a mission with a partner, both of you must PM me & acknowledge that you'll be doing it together. Some missions won't allow for two people to go, so you'll need approval first. She wants you to go to Purple City & retrieve the medicine for her Shellder. Meet her at the Pokemon Center for details. ~ Ranger 1 The Pokemon Center Spoiler: Information Yes, like in every Pokemon game, there is a Pokemon Center. The healing services are completely free. Unlike the centers in the game, in Yaska, they offer some different services. Trader's Lounge Every Pokemon Center has a large room where trainers meet to trade Pokemon. A casual hang out where people from the area meet & show off their Pokemon, trade, and perhaps take outside and battle. All trades must be discussed in character, since story-wise, it doesn't make much sense for two players to just get up & trade their prized pokemon. Experience gained by traded Pokemon is the same, & at certain levels, they will not obey you until you've beaten certain gyms. The Daycare Center The Daycare center is a place where trainers can drop off their Pokemon for extended periods of time. In the Daycare, Pokemon level up at a rate of once per two weeks, albeit, the level ups only allow 2 stat points to be allocated, and those points are placed randomly. Also, occasionally after leaving a Pokemon in daycare for a while, you may pick them up to find an egg with the Pokemon you dropped off. The egg takes up a spot on your team, and in order to hatch, you must spend a lot of time venturing the land in order for enough time to pass for the egg to hatch. Pokemon raised from eggs start off with better stats, and may learn moves or start off with moves that the parent did not have. You may only drop off two Pokemon at the Daycare Center at a time. Also, if you plan on breeding certain Pokemon, think again, as there are always other Pokemon in the Daycare that may tickle the fancy of yours instead. This is especially mysterious if your Pokemon is a male, as the female Pokemon will always lay eggs of the same species, whilst the male's child will be from a Pokemon who is identical, or bears similar characteristics. Even so, you won't know until you hatch the egg. Other Events Spoiler: Pokemon Stadium Pokemon Stadium The Pokemon Stadium works similar to the Fire Emblem Arena, but obviously with modifcations. The Pokemon Stadium is a place where tournaments are held, and where Trainers can take on other trainers in random battles to train. It's an ideal way to train. There are many different types of options to choose. Items (excluding hold items), are banned from The Stadium One v. One This is a Standard battle, one trainer pitted against another trainer. Here are sub-options, all of which are self explanatory. You may bring your full party to the battle, but can only use the number delineated in each. One Pokemon v. One Pokemon Three Pokemon v. Three Pokemon Six Pokemon v. Six Pokemon Two v. Two The popular double battle is also available. Sign up with a partner, where a player or an NPC. Four Pokemon v. Four Pokemon (Two per trainer) Six Pokemon v. Six Pokemon (Three per trainer) Twelve Pokemon v. Twelve Pokemon (Six per trainer) The rewards for winning Stadium Battles vary from cash prizes, to item prizes, or perhaps events that may lead to the unlocking of a side-mission. You'll have to battle to find out. (All battles cost $25 each per player) Spoiler: Things To Do Besides missions and such, there are plenty of other options available to players. Going to the Wild Want to go out of town to train or catch wild Pokemon? Well, it's an option, and it's a pretty nice one. Just RP where you're going, then you may search around wherever you go, running into Pokemon, finding items, or doing other things there. I know it sounds kind of vague, but it will be less so when you're actually in there. You may also unlock special missions and quests if you're in certain places at certain times, so you best watch out. Current Areas to Explore -> Emerald Forest -> A pleasant forest near Grey City. (Levels 1-5) Grey Coast -> Beach near the small port of Grey City (Levels 1-5) The Coastal Ruins -> Ancient ruins on the Grey Coast (Levels 3-7) Blue Jungle -> A dense jungle not too far from Blue City (Levels 3-7) Isle Volcano -> Volcano at the edge of the Blue Jungle. (Levels 5-10) The Secluded Meadow -> Pleasant meadow south of Green City. (Levels 5-10) Muk Marsh -> A sticky, smelly, muddy marsh northeast of Green City. (Levels 5-10) (More will be unlocked as you gain levels, the levels next to each place are the recommended levels that you should take there) The Bug Catching Contest/Fishing Contest Every so often when I'm feeling generous, I'll host a Bug-Catching contest or a Fishing Contest in one of the cities. How these events will work will be as follows 1) Go to wherever the contest is being held, and pay the $50 entrance fee. You will then receive the necessary items there. (10 Contest Balls, Fishing Rod, etc.) 2) Each participant gets five random encounters with the Pokemon in the pool. The ones available will be broken down by rarity, and a 1-100 roll will reflect that. For example here's a potential bug-catching rubric. 1-20 -> Caterpie 21-40 -> Weedle 41-60 -> Wurmple 61-70 -> Volbeat 71-80 -> Illimuse 81-90 -> Combee 91-95 -> Heracross 96-100 -> Pinsir The Levels of the Pokemon will be determined randomly as well, albeit at an equal chance per each level. Depending on the levels of all the participants Pokemon, I will gauge it accordingly. 3) The battles are going to be more like the Safari-Zone than the Bug-Catching Contest, as in you have nothing but yourself between you and the Pokemon you're catching. If you throw a rock, you make it easier to catch, but more likely it will run away. Throwing it bait is the vice-versa. It's a delicate balance and requires a good deal of luck with the balls to win. 4) The winner is determined by rarity and level. 1st, 2nd & 3rd all get prizes, below that is a consolation prize. All contestants get to keep whichever Pokemon they caught. More? Perhaps, as time goes on, more will be added to this list. The Pound Spoiler: The Pound (OPEN) The Pound A place where Pokemon abandoned by their trainers go, and also where Pokemon can be given a second chance by being adopted by a new trainer. Although these Pokemon cost money to adopt, they may come with rare moves that they otherwise would not know. You may also drop off Pokemon in the Pound if you feel that you no longer wish to care for them, or if you have too many Pokemon and have to make room in your party. The Pound is also a way to adopt Pokemon that Trainers you've beaten in the past have used, so check her frequently to see the new additions. Today marks a special day for our young (and not so young) Trainers. Once a year Professor Conifer, a famed Pokemon Professor hosts a raffle and raffles off Pokemon to people who wish to start their journeys as a Pokemon Trainer. The winners this year have all been summoned to his lab to pick up there Pokemon. In line they stood facing him and his aide, as he and his aide proceeded to hand out the Pokeballs to the trainers. He was like Santa, reaching into a large sack, handing each trainer a ball with a young Pokemon to call their own. The Pokemon raffled off were often considered to be prized and rare, for they are seldom seen in the wild, and tend to be more powerful than your average Caterpie or Sentret seen scurrying around the town. After handing out the Pokeballs Conifer stepped back and spoke. "Well then," he began, "Today is the start of your greatest adventure. With these Pokemon at your side you will accomplish many great things, I'm sure of it. You all seem like people of character, so all I can do is hope you treat your Pokemon as more than toys or tools for battle, but as companions who you trust and respect. Remember that always - Pokemon are our friends, first and foremost. Treat them accordingly and you will find success." "Even so, I've got a lot of research to attend to, so I wish you all the best of luck, twas a pleasure meeting you all! My aides will assist you if you have any questions. I'm sure I'll be seeing you all around the town. Farewell!" With that, the Professor casually strolled to his private back room to do research. He was known to sneak in a book for pleasure time and again, but Professor Conifer was a just man whose contributions to the understanding of Pokemon have changed the way people look at them. As new trainers, all you can do now is try to do the best you can. Best of luck to you all. OOC: Booyah, let's get this party started. Also, whenever you do transactions, or use items out of battle, please just list them in an OOC after your post. Like if you used a potion in your RP, write, -1 Potion Pinsir's HP maxed Or something akin to that. Thanks!

Thanking the Professor, Michael left the lab to set off on what he hoped would be an exciting adventure... but not too dangerous. Hopefully. He'd never seen himself as the heroic type, but even he could tell that sooner or later the heroic type would have to show up and deal with Team Chronos. If it had to be him... well, he'd just have to get on with it.
Eager to find out what Pokemon he had been given, Michael opened the ball to see a small monkey jump out and onto his shoulder. Oh, goody, he thought, a Chimchar! Looks like the family reputation is safe after all! Still, the family reputation would also be ruined if the younger child turned out to be a blithering unprepared idiot, so Michael decided to go to the Pokemart before he did anything else. Browsing the Mart's wares, Michael settled on an amount of Pokeballs and Potions that should have him covered for a while. Handing over the money, Michael then set about looking for some kind of quest he could use to kickstart his grand adventure, heading immediately to the bulletin board. Pokemon Rangers needing help? ... Spearow, eh! Oh, excellent! Here I come, Spearows! With that, Michael headed off to the Grey City Ranger HQ, hoping nobody else had beaten him to it. --- OOC: +10 Pokeballs +15 Potions -$875 -------------------

Jack, quite happy with his luck, popped open his new Pokeball to find a Mudkip. "My," he commented. "You're quite a looker. Doing anything later tonight?"
Mudkip looked up at him inquisitively. "Mud?" Jack sighed. "Right. Doesn't speak English. Damn. Oh well, off for some adventure! I always was the adventurous type, have I told you that?" he remarked to the Mudkip. "Kip!" "I'm the prepared type, too. Look, I already have some supplies!" he said, pulling out 5 Poke Balls, 5 Potions, an Antidote and an Awakening. "Pretty impressive, eh, good lookin'? 'Course, I had to spend a little cash first. But nothing's too good for you, cutie." "Muuuud?" "I need to find someone else to hit on, don't I?" "Kip!" "I've even got a job picked out already. Kid I know named Zephiel's worried about some bullies. Thinks they'll come at night. And if it gives me the chance to spend the night with somebody... mm. He's a little scrawny, but he'll do. Talk to you later, gorgeous." Snapping the Pokeball closed, Jack headed off to the west side of Grey City. OOC: Mission Battle Before Dawn. Hopefully it's not as IMPOSSIBLE as its namesake. Also, I wrote in the 525 I already spent. ------------------- ![]()

IC: Juliet White examined the Pokeball in her hand after Professor Conifer had finished his speech. It was red on the top and white on the bottom and a black band going around the middle. She had seen them before, but she never could call them her own. She had not even opened and released her Pokemon yet; she was savoring the moment.
“Come on out!” she yelled out as she threw the Pokeball high in the sky. A blinding white light flashed and when it subsided, a small Pokemon appeared on the ground in front of her. It had a creamy white underside and bluish fur on its top. It also had four red spots on its back. “Cynda!” “Oooh, a Cyndaquil!” she said with delight, “Just like my sister!” The Cyndaquil seemed to examine its new trainer with great caution, but was glad to finally be out of its ball. “Well, how do you do Cyndaquil,” she continued with a twirl finishing with a small curtsey. Her long hair flowed with her as she spun and expertly came back into place without missing a mark. “My name’s Juliet.” “Quil!” piped the Cyndaquil. “Oh, you need a name don’t you,” Juliet said, “Nope, you definitely won’t do without one.” She brought her finger to her bottom lip as if to mime thinking of a name. After a couple seconds, she said, “How about Richard?” “Cyn, Cynda!” the Cyndaquil nodded in agreement. “Okay, Richard it is,” Juliet said. She offered her shoulder to Richard and he hopped on. “We should probably pick up supplies. Mother always said, ‘Be prepared for anything.’” Juliet and Richard made a quick stop at the Grey City PokeMart. They passed a sulky looking teenager while entering the store. She read about common Potions and Pokeballs from her older sister’s Academy books, so she grabbed some of each. She also got an Escape Rope, just in case. “Where do you think we should go next?” Juliet asked out loud as they exited the PokeMart. She took a map of the continent and looked around. “Okay, it looks like we’re here,” she said as she pointed at Grey City. She noticed a small patch of darker green next to her finger. “What about the Emerald Forest?” “Cynda,” Richard said in agreement. “Okay, let’s go,” she said as she folded up the map. “Maybe we can find some wild Pokemon to battle.” OOC: Juliet goes to Emerald Forest, please. I also RP'ed my purchases. ------------------- ![]()

IC: "Hooooly shit." Eileen mumbled, staring at the orb in her palm. "An actual Pokemon. Before I let this thing out, I should totally write a song." she continued, as she pulled the guitar on her back around her body and strummed a few notes. "Or not. I need to see it for some inspiration." the odd girl finally decided, as she pressed the button on the ball, and saw the small turtle appear before her eyes.
"Rad! A Squirtle. C'mon little dude. Lets get supplies and go into the forest. I heard all kinds of wicked cool things are around there. Maybe I can catch a few other Pokemon, or write a song. You can play bass." "Squirtle, squirt?" the small animal spoke, with a quizzical expression on its face. It obviously has no idea what a bass was, let alone how to play it. Wondering exactly what it had gotten pulled into, the small blue creature followed its new master, with more than slight hesitation. "Yeah, I'm gonna have all this." Eileen told the cashier, dropping all of the merchandise in her arms on the counter. The cashier yelped at the noise. "Can't you damned kids be more careful?" he asked angrily, ringing up her items. "Rock and roll doesn't need any carefulness, old dude!" she yelled. "Shut the hell up!" he replied, making Eileen cross her arms, grab her now paid for items, and sulk out of the store, as a prissy-looking girl came in. "I tried to elbow her snooty looking chest, but I missed! Can you believe that, little dude?" Eileen asked her new companion as they headed to the forest, with the poor Squirtle looking more confused than ever before. OOC: Eileen goes to Emerald Forest. The Deathwind
Michael strolled through Grey City, heading northward towards the Pokemon Ranger HQ. Not the fanciest building in the world, as Grey City is not known for having beautiful architecture or anything like that. Walking in, there was a small lobby with two Rangers sitting off to the side looking sort of depressed, and a female sitting at the main counter. The room was quiet, and they heard Michael come in. They all perked up to see this outsider. The woman at the counter wore glasses and had blond hair tied in a bun. "Yes? May I help you" she asked quizzically, tilting her head to the side. ThirteenOfTwo OOC: You're supposed to PM the mission you want to take, but I'll let the formality slide for now. Just remember for next time. BIC: Jack headed towards the west side of Grey City. He knew the address. This kid Zephiel lived in the wealthiest section of the city, and his house was a mansion in comparison to its smaller neighbors. As Jack approached the house, he noticed Zephiel sitting on his stoop looking worried. He perked up when he saw Jack approach. "Hey, I know you!" he said, pointing at him. He raked his mind for why he knew Jack, and it came to him that he randomly asked him to watch his back while he slept at night, as he was threatened by older punks in his middle school. "Well, I'm here." Jack said, wondering what his work exactly was. Zephiel looked up at the sky. The sun still was up, the day was still young. "It's still pretty light out, they wouldn't come now." Glancing at his watch, he noted that the time was noon was less than fifteen minutes away. Very early indeed. It was at this moment that an idea came to Zephiel. Clearly Jack had nothing better to do, so he figured he'd make use of his services. "Hey, do you think you could go to Red City and deliver this letter to my sister? I miss her dearly, it's been tough since our parents split, and the mail service here is so slow..." Before Jack could respond, Zephiel continued "And don't worry, you'll get a nice prize for your help now as well as your help later. Could you?" molater Upon entering the forest, Juliet and her new companion started searching for wild pokemon. The entrance to the forest was empty, especially by the path, as humans passed through this area most often to see the landscape here. As they kept walking down the path, they heard some rustling in the bushes to the left of them. Juliet and Richard stopped to analyze the situation. Three small bushes less than 20 feet off the path appear to be showing signs of life. Which bush does Juliet search first? The Lost Soul Eileen arrived at the forest and waltzed right in down the path with Squirtle in tow. Struggling to keep up with his new owner, Squirtle tripped up, making a loud thud. Eileen turned around to see her fallen Pokemon. However, she was quickly distracted as she watched a Pidgey alight from a branch above near the ground after the thud scared it out of hiding. quote Wild PidgeyHow does Eileen respond?

"Ah, glad to see those fliers attracted someone," the receptionist said. She turned to the Rangers in the lobby. "Terran! Lizette! You fliers got you just what you needed." The two Rangers looked at Michael Hamilton, and got up. "Welcome aboard," the male said, putting out his hand. He was about the same height as Michael, and was fit. He looked like a typical young Pokemon Ranger. The female, Lizette also shook Michael's hand. She had long blond hair she kept in a single braid the went down to past her waist. "Yeah, we've been getting reports that the Spearow population in the Forest has increased greatly the past couple of weeks, and people have told us they have been finding a lot of injured pokemon along the path. However, none of the injured are Spearow, so that leads us to assume one thing," Terran said. "Something's definitely up," Lizette added. "We're going to figure it out." "So, we're pretty much ready to go, are you?" Terran asked Michael.

Juliet crept to the bush, and pulled the leaves aside, revealing a wild Mankey! The creature shouted as it lept from the bush, banging the ground a few feet away. Clearly he was not happy that he was disturbed. quote Wild MankeyHow does Juliet proceed?

OOC: Richard attack spam Growl until two hit and then spam Tackles. After two hits with Tackle, toss a Pokeball. If it misses, wait. Potion if he falls below 5HP.
