Better performance?

what are your computer specs? Your computer may not be able to handle it or you need some kind of patch. Not many people play GTA3 online anymore, but to play online you can get it here

Shit! You have a crappy processor but an awesome Video Card. You should buy a new processor (Pentium or AMD), shouldnt cost more then $100 or a few but it should improve your game quite a bit.

Also how much RAM do you have? RAM increase PC's speed the most and are the cheapest to buy too.

If you cant change the resolution in the game, then try looking for a configuration file in the GTA3 folder (not sure if one exists but most games have them) and change the numbers from 800 x 600 to 640 x 480 or lower.

Also probably one other great way to fix it if possibly is to download the latest driver for your graphics card at www.nvidia.com. They always made my games work better when they were sloppy or just slow.

but are you seriously going to take your your motherboard just to get a new processor. It sounds like it can be done but it would be easier just to increase your Ram. I had 256 Ram and about 751 MHz of cpu speed. I upgraded my Ram to 1024 and now I'm at over 1000 MHz.

Not all computers can be upgraded. My dads computer has a integrated video and sound card so he can never buy a better one.

if you have integrated parts like my PC, you can still upgrade, you just need a AGP or PCI slot, which almost all PCs have.
