I might write 'Police. Kill. Action.' after all. I think I've come up with a way to make it work as an RP rather than... since I watch a lot of movies I think in a primarily visual way which doesn't work so well in written form.

You would watch a movie about cops with James Bond cars in a cyberpunk setting (well I would), but it's harder to write it down in a way that... is good?

Imagine if Judge Dredd was on COPS. That's what I'm going for.
In fact, I could take it into the place where such things go, that I can't remember the name of just now. The place where people do shows and anime and stuff.

JUDGES. Only on FOX.

Kybur I like your idea. I would likely join an RP like that.

If you ever need help, or want something looked over I'll gladly help out.

That achievement is actually meant to get more people participating in the General Discussion =P So I intended it to be the reason that you posted in here, Bluepikky24.

Most don't hang around sadly, but I think that every role-player should be part of the discussions, since they're also a part of the community. It's a networking thing, or something.

Also, hurray, I'm almost cured. Only a mild headache left deep in my brain. And I also start my new light-therapy thingy on account of my psoriasis today, which is going to be hell for the next three months. Hopefully, it'll be worth it, this time.

Also also, will people who think they apply for achievements please tell me which ones already, please? There was so much talk about this in the beginning, but no-one has applied...

1. No, just two characters with the same name in equally many Role-Plays. I may add a "current record" for whoever has the most... that is, if Corruption is willing to count all his Severeins =P


2. Of course, why wouldn't it count for that? If a Role-Play you were in has reached over ten pages, you've earned Educated.


3. For Creator, anything that has attracted members (any number will do), and where everyone has made at least two posts and you reached at least the second page. Eh, if someone made a character but never posted, but everyone else did, that's fine.
   
   Eh, this one isn't set in stone. The Role-Play needn't have finished, in any case, so long as we can see people have worked on it.


4. It literally says: "in any number of Role-Plays". And just in case: all these character MUST have a character sheet. Side-characters don't count.

And to be clear, everybody wanted achievements to be retroactive, so yes, old/dead Role-Plays count for everything.

Thank you for clarifying that. I'm going to go take a look through the Roleplays I've created, but I think I'm able to get at least those four...

You mean like ways to promote the forum, or ways to promote RP's?

And a question to the community in general: How important or beneficial do you think it is to make available extensive background information on your stories? Like, for instance, say I got carried away and wrote a ten page long overview of the culture and political structure of the fictional world an RP is going to be taking place in. Do you think having that information available, even if only as an option, is beneficial to the story? Or do you think that having too much predetermined information stifles the ability of the participants to freely guide the story progression?

That's pretty much the exact train of thought I'm running on with this..... I love the idea of letting the players run wild within the world of the role play, but the problem I keep running into(partially in my head, partially experience) is that if you don't define what that world IS then everybody else can legitimately define it for you. I guess the spirit of what I'm asking then is: Is it better for the creator of a roleplay to rigorously define the world of the story, or is it better to leave that(in some part, at least) to everyone else?
