The Infection [m] [no pm] [started] [accepting]

Another Zombie RP, perhaps this one will live, which will be slightly ironic. Please only sign-up if your going to actually stay on board.
Note that I am trying to keep this on the brink of realism, no fantasy aliens or whatever, just a messed up virus that turns people into undead.

Story:
The infection began in Russia. It was believed the Russians were trying to create some kind of bio-weapon, the result was something different. In the year 2013, Russia announced the release of a new medicine, a medicine that would cure any disease, any virus with just a tiny sip. Ofcourse, the world was curious as to why Russia
would give away such a treasure to countries that they hated, so naturally, everyone assumed the worst and accused Russia of trying to poison the world's population.
Within months, war was announced on Russia and nuclear missles were sent from country to country, leaving America, Russia and the majority of Europe in ruins. One year later the infection began. It is assumed that the medicine was used on Russian casualties to treat infections and other diseases after battle. The medicine known as Trap [The Russian Apocalypse Potion] indeed did cure the body of diseases etc and actually mad the consumer physically superior temporarily, until the side-effects kicked in. Apparently, when Trap is mixed with a body full of stress and anger, Trap increases the amount of adrenaline created and causes the victim to die of stress. Trap then heals the consumer, but only to have them brought back as inhuman nightmares. The remainder of the Russian government, realising they had doomed their country, turned Trap into a biological weapon, arming several of their missles with them and launching them into the ruined cities of their enemies. Daylight does not stop them, for they are no work of fiction. Already 80% of Earth's population have been affected, and the remaining 20%'s fate looks grim indeed.

Mission:
To meet up with other members of the RP and stop the inevitable destruction of Earth by either;
Eliminating the zombie population of the Earth
Finding the "Anti-Trap" and reversing the effects of the original virus, causing zombies to revert to humans once more
Finding some way off the Earth
Anything else you can think of later

Experience: Served in the British Royal Marines since he was 17.
Special Ability: Seems to always find a way to survive events.

Appearance:Stands at about 5'9, weighs about 75 kilos and has a nice athletic build, not bad looking with dark hair and dark eyes. Wears Royal Marine standard army smock.
Starting Location: New York, America. In a helicopter with 10 other Marines.
Starting Action: Searching for survivours.
Background: Always a lover of war and fighting, Dev got into the army as soon as he knew they accepted 17 year olds. He enjoyed all the tours he done, becoming an effective member. He never spoke with his family after entering the Marines, becoming a bit of a loner, his only friends being the ones at the armed forces.



This is the status of major cities, these vary as the RP goes on;
London and Edinburgh: Secure, no sign of infection.
New York: Taken over by infected, currently being cleared by British forces.
Moscow: The source of the infected, status is currently classed as a wasteland.
Beijin: Currently safe, but most of Northern China is infected, Chinese armies are combatting.
Istanbul: Desolated, along with the rest of Turkey and neighbouring countries {not including China}
Tokyo: Secure, infected spotted but Japan's {limited} armies are dealing with them.
Berlin: Contested.
Paris: Secure, French Armies are currently assisting the rest of Europe.
Mainland Europe: Heavily contested.
Washington DC: The remainder of the American armies have gathered here, making it the only secure place in America.

Special Ability: Alex has a good eye for targets. He could shoot a pin from at least 500 yards away.

Primary weapon: An M1A1 Carbine modified with a high powered scope on top.

Secondary weapon: A .45 Colt

Melee weapon: A machete.

Special weapon: A pack with high end explosives on it.

Appearance: Alex looks like a young man, with an aging face. He looks quite strong and wear's regular hunting gear because when the infection broke out, that's the outfit he dawned.

Starting location: New York, America (Decided I'll start near you OP)

Starting action: Alex was originally there for a hunter's convention and was staying for awhile but the outbreak hit.

Background: Alex doesn't have much of an interesting past. He lived a regular life like any other kid. Went to school, had jobs, although his father was an ex-marine and taught Alex how to hunt and to survive.

Appearence: Tall, very strong, wears a black skull t-shirt, tattered jeans, a flannel overshirt, biker boots with chains, and a Jack Daniels hat, looks about 28
Starting Location: Was McDowell county West Virginia until he heard that many survivors moved to New York City which held hundreds of survivors accounted for, so he packed his things and migrated North to New York.
Starting Action: After the nuclear attacks, John stayed in his bomb shelter (which was actually meant for if the cops found his marijuana) with 6 years worth the survival supplies. After a year his geiger counter (came with the bomb shelter) read that it was safe to go outside since there was no radiation. But what he had learnded when he had gotten out there was that even though the radiation was down, there were "zombies" everywhere. He swept through radio frequencies until he heard of a safe-haven in New York. He grabbed his survival supplies, some gasoline, and his 2 favorite guns with hundreds of rounds of ammo, and left to go to New York.

Ok guys, we are ready go to I believe, I think there is one more person still to join, but we can go ahead and start without them. Anyone, feel free to do the first post, note that my guy is still in a helicopter and hasn't landed yet. I will post as soon as I am ready!

Apperance: Standing 6'1, with a muscular build, his hair hangs around his shoulders and is usually tied in a pony tail, he has grey eyes and a scar that runs down from his left eye and past his lip. He wears a white tank top, black combat trousers, combat boots and a leather jacket.
Starting Location: New York (Might as well)
Starting Action: Was working on some Intel about IRA connections in New York.
Background: Michael always had a clear head even when he was younger, his father started training him in Martial Arts when he was younger. He then went on to learn various other Martial Arts, this got him into many fights as he was growing up some he lost, most he won. When he was sixteen he left school and joined the Army, from there did tours of Iraq and Afganistan and after three years in the Irish Guards he went into Selection to join the SAS. Passing it on his first time after months of training after four years in the SAS he was dishonourably discharged for striking one of his commanding officers for orders that went against his heart. As Michaels father always said "A Soldier follows orders, a Warrior follows his heart", he then went onto joining the ARS and from there made his mark on Anti-Terriost organisations in Northern Ireland.

Night was on the horizon, the stink of death was in the air Michael was sitting on a small wall listening to the background of the city, the city of the dead in his opinions. Michael took out a cigarette from his pocket and light it with his zippo lighter, inhailing deeply and exhailed and jumped of the wall, strapping his machete tightly to his left side, securing his P-90 to his left thigh, he looked up with his cigarette in his mouth and grabbed his AR33 and pointed it straight a head of himself.

Taking of the safety he waited, moving his feet on the floor to give him some leave way he put the stock of his gun to his shoulder and started to breath slowly, inhailing his cigarette. The wind blew past his face and moved his hair from his face, all was silent and still but it was far to still then out of the shadow a piercing scream Michael turned around and saw something, something not human, something that moved quickly and silently. Michael closed his eyes and opened them just as quickly and with a wide smile shot three bursts from his rifle and heard a loud thud, another sound this time closer came from behind Micheal and knocked him to the ground, falling to the ground he rolled and shot another three bursts into the beast knocking it to the ground.

Standing up Michael looked at the pathetic creature scratching and scraping his way towards Michael feet, he flicked his cigarette to the ground and stomped onto the beasts head. "God sometimes I wonder.. Why does this crap happen to me"
Michael started walking south towards the fires of the main city "Maybe theres some poor arsehole like me in this wasteland" he exclaimed.

Michael ran along the main roads checking his surroundings it was noisy, shots were being fired left, right and centre. All of the sudden he heard the whirl of the wind above him and saw British Army choppers flying over him, stopping he looked up and thought to himself "Here comes the f%&king Calvary". Michael heard something to the left of him down a small alleyway, it was a loud scream but not one of the infected but a human, more importantly a woman, Michael turned and ran down the alley as fast as he could getting to the end he turned right and saw her. A woman in her early twenties fighting off three zombies "Crap" Michael shouted as he reached for his AR33, taking aim and shooting two of the zombies in the head with three bursts each. As Michael pulled the trigger for the third his gun did not shot, "In the name of God" he shouted loudly and he through his gun to the ground there was no time to reload the zombie was getting closer and closer, Michael took out his machete and ran towards the zombie and striking the zombie on the head. Blood squirted out of the zombies head and onto his arm the blood oozed from the wound and down to the floor covering his blade he took it out and struck the zombies head again this time harder blood squirted out again landing onto his top and jacket staining them with blood.

The zombie went down this time, Michael looked at the woman who was now cowering in the corner of the alley "Are to ok?" Michael asked the girl who just sat there shaking Michael walked closer "Are you ok?" he asked again and again the woman did not answer. Michael walked over and placed his hand on her shoulder the woman stopped shaking and looked up her eyes white and mouth gargling with blood she had turned, she took a bite at Michael hand but missed and made Michael drop his Machete. Michael backed off looking at the woman who rose to her feet and ran towards him, he did the same and grabbed her arm flipped her to the ground, as she was on the ground Michael dropped down to his knee grabbed her by the chin and top of the head and with one quick motion to the left snapped her neck in half. Michael got up grabbed his machete and attached it back to his leg again, he walked toward his gun picking it up he quickly reloaded it. He looked around at the now four bodies behind him and smiled "Damn zombies far to easy to kill" he got out another cigarette and lit it with his lighter "Time to see where those choppers went" he thought to himself as he left the alleyway.

Come on you lot, if you want this RP to survive at least try and post.

Michael was running along the main street following the sounds of gun fire, the smell of burning flesh entered his lungs, coughing he covered his mouth with his arm and squinted his eyes he was getting closer to the fires of the city smoke was filling the air partially blinding him.
"How am I going to kill anything in this damn smoke" he thought to himself he started running faster through the smoke until he got to the other side, body lay upon body, their flesh ripped and torn, blood splattered across the ground and walls of decrepited buildings. "Jesus looks like a f$%king bomb went off here" slowly walking through the corpses he made sure not to walk on any, they could all be infected and he did not want to attempt to kill them all that would be is suicide and Michael wanted to get through this alive.

"Where the Hell did those damn choppers land?" he said to himself as he went further down the street only to be met by even more dead and decaying bodies in the distance he could hear shooting and not just random shooting but well placed, well disciplined and best of all there was a lot of it, Michael started running and closer and closer he got to the shooting the more he wanted to kill some zombies himself, as he turned a corner he heard a loud yell "Halt, who goes there?". Michael stood still and put his weapon into the air "A guy that's here to kick ass and chew bubblegum... And I'm all outa bubblegum" he said as he approached the soldier holding a gun straight at him, putting his AR33 on his shoulder he looked at him and said "You think you can shot of your gun before I shot mine? I would advise you to drop your weapon soldier". The soldier just stood there pointing his gun at Michael "Fine then you win" Michael said as he walked towards the soldier out of the blackness came three more soldiers Michael looked at them all and said "Wheres your commanding officer?"

The three soldiers turned around and Michael followed them approaching a large building with a lot of infected corpses lying on the ground, the soldiers pointed to a tall man inside the building "Right cheers mucker" Michael said to the soldier that pointed he made his way up into the building and looked around there was a lot of soldiers.. But not American, British soldiers and he was glad to see that he couldn't be bothered teaching the damn Yanks to shoot properly he walked over the what he knew was the Staff Sargent "Royal Marines eh? When did you lot get here?" he said to the Sarg who turned around and gave him an uneasy look.
