Why is December and the New year my aim-point?

Not because it's a commercialized excuse to earn more monies. Not because it's the time when all the kick-ass games are released. Not because some crazy schmuck will undoubtedly fall and break his neck (presumably while under the influence.) whilst pretending to be Santa Claus.... (It's more common than you'd think. )

I'll be purchasing a new laptop, that's why. >=\


No more trying to squeeze in time while running to and fro about my daily-life-- I can take a laptop with me. ;-;

I can take it with me to work and ignore the children.... Just like Mommy does with her liquor! ( ...... ...... )

As for languages..... I'm limited to knowing what I want to know. As usual.
(She's really not bragging. XD She only memorizes key phrases that she thinks sound cool. )

This is how I go about studying, as well. I'm a mildly disinterested person (and oh god, does it show. >_> ) So I shove an entire weeks worth of lessons into my mind in one afternoon, and I manage to ace the tests.

... People in my Math and English classes have mistakenly assumed that I'm some kind of uber-genius.

(But I forget it all the very next day. XD)

It's.... something I'm trying to work on..... ;-;

So tell me-- How is life for you miserable mortals? *Full-on god complex mode*

Today I started to step outside to water my dying plants, when my ultra-special bee sensing brain went into full alert. So I jumped back into the house and slammed the door shut. (Honestly, I didn't even see what it was. I just heard the high-pitched whirring of little bee-wings, and my phobia lurched into action. XD )

Turns out, about 15 to 30 bees have made the left side of my house a nesting place to avoid the oncoming winter. ;-;
Apparently, the sun shines on that spot and keeps it warm. So the little buggers are leeching off my bee-free sanctuary. (I don't even keep honey in the house anymore. ) I'm sorta scared to go outside now.... I think I'll spend the rest of the winter as a social recluse who never leaves her house. ;-; (You mean you weren't one already? )


.... I guess the topic is phobias. >_>

Does anyone else have something that sends them into an irrational spiral of fear?
( Like Spiders, or heights, or.... dogs, maybe? )

I can relate to a fear of heights as well. Mainly, what would happen if you accidentally fell.... dreading the moment your body finally connects with the ground. >_> (Yes, it is a rather morbid outlook. But I used to have all sorts of "Falling from an unspeakable height" nightmares when I was younger, so that probably has something to do with it. )

My dreams are too literal. I can't ever fly, or make malted milk-balls rain from the sky.... *sigh*
The most exciting and creative dream I can recall was being married to Carrot-Top. No joke.

And the most literal would be me waking up, eating soggy cornflakes, missing the bus, flunking a test, and being abused by people half my size... only to realize I'm not dreaming. (If only if only, am I right? )




But yeah. Heights are pretty wicked. >=O
