Chronicles of Earth and Thrae(T)(No PM)Season1 |
|
IT'S REOPENED!! Feel free to join if you so desire.
Yes, I'm treating it like a TV show, deal with it. Our wiki page: wiki There are many things you can do in Thrae. Are you a werewolf trying to protect the honor of your species? Are you a human bent on the destruction of an entire race? Are you a villain lusting after power? Are you someone who just plans on living their life, then dying? Are you a being out for vengeance? Are you from Earth and unsure where you are? Are you an amnesiac looking for your memories? Are you A phantom with a past worth hiding? Or are you a species no one even knows about yet? But, most importantly, where will you be when the beasts returns? It's your characters, your plots, your choice. Norway and Sweden are at war. Werewolves vs. humans and half-elves... what side are you on? Here is the previous plot, written by me, Z, and B: Rey turned towards Matt as they fled from the dragon. Matt knowing he couldn't outrun the dragon, shifted into his wolf form and scooped Rey up, running at top speed. Rey fell, swearing, to the ground as his pants ripped in Matt's teeth. Matt swore, which, to Rey, sounded more like an irritated yelp. "You need a muzzle," Rey smirked. Matt gave Rey a meaningful look, then turned to face the dragon. "Matt, you idget, what are you doing?!" Matt let out a long, gutteral roar as he charged the dragon, his teeth bared. Rey paled. "Matt, you idiot, you can't hurt it like that!" I know," Matt growled, almost at the feet of the huge dragon. Suddenly, he veered right, and the dragon switched its course, now chasing after the running Matt. Rey grimaced. "Why do you have to be so... impulsive?!" Rey looked around for something to throw. Either at Matt or the dragon would do. "Oh, a sword," he reached for it, "even better." When he pulled it up, a skeletal hand still clung to it. "Ah! Zombie!" The bones crumbled to dust. "Oh, um..." Matt's muzzle curled into a toothy smirk. Then he remembered that impending death was chasing him down. Darn it, Rey, hurry up and do something!" He snarled. Rey grinned. So he was needed. He ran towards the dragon, dragging the sword. He tried to swing it, but all he did was fall over. Blood spattered his face. "You idiot, you cut off its toe!!" Matt howled. He kicked himself internally. What would cutting off its toe do? Other than tick it off more? Matt stopped. He had an idea. He whipped around and sank his teeth into the bloody toe stump. "No!" Rey slapped his head. "I don't care how hungry you are, you can't eat a live dragon!" Matt rolled his eyes, but continued to rip and bite, worming his way into the dragon itself. The dragon roared in pain as Matt ripped it up from the inside. "Not without me!" Rey lifted the sword and sliced the dragon's belly... Right where, by some ill fortune, Matt was, who fell through the hole. Jacob let loose a long, and thankfully unintelligible series of profanities, glaring at Rey. Jacob jumped up and grabbed the hunk of flesh Rey had opened and ripped it off, exposing the dragon's vulnerable insides. Rey lifted the sword. Matt gave him a look that said 'do it, I kill you.' He dropped the sword and stepped back. "Good, now maybe I won't have to ingest your face." Matt proceeded to rip large chunks of flesh from the dragon's body. Rey lifted an eyebrow. "You realize I can't understand any of that, right?" Matt paused in his carnage. "That's the point." The dragon gave a lurch and fell over, finally taken down by Matt's biting. It fell... directly towards Rey. Rey screamed and held up the sword in front of him. It sliced through, but left him covered in gore. Rey opened one eye to see Matt, in his human form, rolling on the ground in mirth. Rey spat out a piece of dragon brain. Matt chuckled. "Ha! This is funny! Look at you, covered in dragon brains! Hahahaha!" Matt laughed uncontrollably. Rey pulled the amulet from his pocket. Still clean. "Was it really worth this?" Rey changed into pajamas with the inn insignia on it. Puse. Anette walked up and sniffed him. "Three showers and you still smell like dead dragon." Rey frowned. "How do you know?" She smirked. "One the only other thing that smells that bad is minotaur poop." She began sifting through the clothes from the trip. She found Rey's pants. "Matt! Again?!" Matt shrugged. "And two, Matt and I have been at this for awhile. You don't think we've dealt with dragons?" Rey snorted. "Yeah, one whole year." Matt growled. "You should be thankful. You're orphanage burnt down." Matt snorted, growling in indignation. "You nearly got us killed today, you know," he said, still angry. "Give it a rest, Matt." Anette placed a hand on his shoulder. "It was his first time." "I guess," Matt said," but I still don't think he's the right one for our group..." Hey, I'm not the one who ate the dragon! So, shut up!" "Do you have a death wish? Is that it? You cut off the effing toe! What did you think that would do? I was going to rip it apart from inside, but nooo, you had to cut me out of its stomach with your stupid sword!" Matt ranted, snarling in his fury. "Might I remind you, if I hadn't cut off the toe, you couldn't kill it from the inside!" Anette slapped her hand over Rey's mouth. "Not advisable." She pulled back her hair to expose a scar on her forehead. Matt looked down. That was not a memory he enjoyed. "I'm going out," he said changing into a wolf and bounding out the door. "Ooo." Anette pulled the amulet from Rey's pocket. "Can I try it on?" Rey snatched it from her. "No, this is my first treasure. Besides, it's supposed to be cursed." She glared. "Cursed, smursed. I didn't do anything today." She snatched at it. "That's because you slept in late." "Only because I was out searching for treasure last night." She grabbed for it again. Matt stared off into the sky, howling sadly at the moon. Dramatic, yes, but it showed off accurately how he felt. "Stupid Rey..." he muttered. "Now he's got me in a bad mood. Well... I probably should head back... Anette will be worried..." With that, Matt started his long slow walk back, all the while staring ruefully at the moon... The chain snapped. The amulet flew through the air cracked on the far wall. Both Rey and Anette stared at it for a solid minute. Rey turned on Anette. "You idiot, you broke it!" Anette continued to stare at the amulet, her eyes widening in fear. "Anette?" Rey turned back toward the amulet and took a step back. A huge, blue beast stood before them. It smirked. "You fools." His voice echoed as if from far off. "You shattered my amulet, but first you even thought to take it." He shook his head. "I'm afraid i must kill you." Anette smirked. "And I'm afraid I just wet myself, but that doesn't mean it's true." Rey raised an eyebrow. "You are?" She nodded. Rey blinked. No not nodded, motioned toward something. Rey looked. Her dagger. He reached and handed it to her. She took it from him and threw it. The beast waved an arm and both Rey and Anette were thrown against the far wall. Anette cried out as the dagger sliced into her upper arm and buried itself in the wall. "Get... Matt!" She gasped out. Rey ran toward the door. Matt had sensed the change in energy when the amulet broke. "Oh-" He began, then stopped, running at top speed toward the inn. As soon as it was in sight, he heard a agonized scream, then heard Anette say, "Get... Matt!" He ran unthinking, and charged straight through the door, nearly decapitating Rey in the process. Matt saw the beast at once, and knew his wolf form would be no match. And, so, in the center of the room he shifted into his half wolf form, the form that had given Anette her scar. Now Matt stood, renewed. His entire body was covered in a thin tan fur, save his chest and muzzle, and a long tail swished back and forth behind him. He let out a bellow that shook the entire inn to its core, and lunged at the beast. His gruff voice echoed, "You will not hurt Anette!" Rey gasped as the air was knocked out of his lungs when the door flew open. He caught a brief glimpse of a tan wolf, Matt!, before passing out. Matt charged the beast, raking it with his sharp claws. The fiend recoiled from the pain, a look of malice in its eyes. "It was too soon, my body has yet to recover its full strength." It muttered, shrinking back. "When I recover, I shall return and extract my revenge." It promised, and, without warning, it soared through the window, shattering it, and vanishing into the night. Matt stood there, letting out a woeful, lamenting howl at the moon. "Anette..." He said, shifting back and walking over to the limp body of the girl... Rey awoke the next morning to the sound of knocking on a door. He sat up and felt a cold wind slap his side. He looked over and saw a shattered window by Anette's bed, and no Anette in it. "Anette!" "Shut up, she's recovering!" Matt knelt by Anette's unconscious form. "You've been up all night?" Rey tried to be careful with his words. "I've been up tending to Anette," he snapped, looking furious. "That beast is going to come back soon, and we are going to need some extra help," Matt said. He rushed past Rey and shifted into his wolf form. He reared back his head and let out a howl unlike any other. One of beckoning, one of command. He had repeated it twice when two identical howls reverberated from far in the distance. With a wolfy smirk, he shifted back into his human form. "Get ready, Rey," Matt called, "backup will be here within the hour." "You're kidding! There are more of you fre-" He slapped his hand over his mouth as he realized his mistake. "More of us WHATS?" Matt asked, snarling slightly. "Oh, look, they're here sooner than expected." At that moment, two large wolves dashed into the room. One silvery-grey, one chocolate brown. Rey glanced at them before looking away. They looked at him like food. He felt another cold wind slap his back. It was then that he realized he was facing the broken window. The wind had come from the opposite side of the room. "And so is the beast he muttered and dove for Anette. However, he was caught in mid-air by an air gauntlet. "Crap!" He caught a brief glimpse of the beast before he was thrown into the shower. Darn it!" Matt snarled, seeing the huge beast looming in front of them. "Geof, get Anette! Cid, take Rey! Let's get out of here!" All three shifted into his wolf form, and picking up their respective loads, ran out into the forest. Rey was in a daze. He felt a tug on his shirt. He smiled. The sky was the color of chocolate, with green mint pieces dotting it here and there. Then, he heard a rip and fell down toward the chocolate sky. "Chocolate!" The he felt a very hard smack to the front of his body. A large chocolate colored wolf flipped Rey over with his paw, looking at him with an expression of annoyance. Cid barked at Rey, then licked his face, trying to get him to snap out of his chocolate delusion. Rey giggled and rolled over. "The pink chocolate tickles!" Cid snorted, rolling his eyes. He barked meaningfully at Matt. "I've got it," the now human Matt said, picking up Rey and slapping him repeatedly. Rey continued giggling for the first few slaps, then went unconscious. Matt sighed heavily, then, dragging him to a nearby stream, proceeded to dunk him repeatedly in the icy water. Someone caught his arm. "Stop, it's still his first time." It was Anette. "I HAVE to wake him up," Matt said still dunking. "One: why? And two: he'll drown at this rate." "Well, that's his fault for not waking up." Matt said curtly, but pulled Rey out and laid him on the rocks. "Cid come over here!" He called to the chocolate wolf, who trotted over, panting slightly. "Woof." He barked, cocking his head to the side. "Go and warm Rey up" Matt commanded. With a happy yelp, the chocolate wolf curled up next to the soaked boy. Anette glanced over at the wolf and Rey. "That wolf the noob you were telling me about?" "Yeah, that's him." Matt said, looking wistfully at Cid. "I think he's more like a puppy than a wolf." "Tell that to Rey's shirt." She sighed. "How long have I been out?" "A few hours... well... about sixteen, actually," Matt said, looking apologetic. "Sixteen," she looked surprised, "a new record. And the beast? What happened to it?" "We outran it," Geoffry said, walking out from the forest. "There's a town roughly six miles from here." Anette stumbled backward. "Six miles?! Hey, wolf-noob, er... Cid! Hand me a piece of Rey's shirt!" Cid complied bringing her a scrap. He wagged his tail as she took it. she wrapped the injured part of her arm with it. "Better late than never," she said. "All right, everybody! the faster we get to town the faster we can get back to the i-" She stopped, paled, and sat down. "We can't go back to the inn." Her face flushed with anger. "I had to run from my own inn! I feel like such a NOOB!" She began rubbing her temples. "How are we gonna wake sleepyhead?" Matt made dipping motions. "That won't be necessary." Rey stood opposite Matt, bruises marking where Matt had continuously smacked him. "I'm awake and ready." He smirked. "Is your new pack member?" He raised an eyebrow. Cid nodded vigorously, panting slightly as he did so. Matt turned toward Rey. "Oh, he's ready, he just doesn't look it. We actually think he's more of a were-pup than a werewolf," Matt began, earning a dirty look from Cid, "but he's very reliable." "Not surprising. Reliability is all you can ever expect from pups." Rey turned in the direction Geoffry pointed. "So we're heading into town? You realize that's an incredibly bad choice." He turned back around. "It will be dangerous the whole way there, and we'll be endangering all lives in the town. We should be taking that blue freak down now!" He motioned toward Cid and Geoffry. "I thought you said they reinforcements, not pack mules!" Geoffry let out a brutal snarl, training his misty grey eyes on Rey, eyes now burning with fury. "Give me one reason why i shouldn't rip him to shreds right now!" He bellowed. Matt raised his hand, signaling for Geoffry to stand down. "Because I don't feel like cleaning up the mess," he said, then turned to Rey. "I have some advice for you. Don't tick Geoffry off," he said, then turned to Anette. "We need to get into town because we need to get her into a hospital, and we could use some supplies. Rushing the beast now would be a potentially fatal error." He walked to the edge of the woods, and said, "We will be traveling wolf-back." Rey sighed. "Just as long as I don't have to ride you." Anette glared at him. Rey shrugged. "What do you expect? Matt still hasn't showered since he went into that dragon." Jacob grimaced. "You can ride Cid, and Geoffry will take Anette. I'll go alone." Each wolf picked up their respective loads, and rocketed off into the forest. Wyl stood in the trees and watched the group move out. Werewolves. Heading for His home. He smiled. "Deja vu." They made exceedingly good time, as the wolves ran at a modest forty-eight miles per hour the entire way there. Within seven and a half minutes, the wolves and their riders had arrived at the town gate. Matt shifted back into his human form, and signaled his pack mates to do the same. "Welcome to St. Trusdale." Matt said, giving the group a little smirk. "Let's go find the clinic, then we can head to the inn for a bed and a hot meal." "In the morning, we'll stock up on supplies, then chase down the beast," Geoffry said, looking at Matt, "am I correct?" Matt nodded then the group turned and walked into the gate. Anette stopped. "You guys go ahead. I can make it to a clinic by myself." Rey raised an eyebrow. "I'm coming." He walked over to her. "You guys go check into the inn. We'll meet you there." Matt snorted. "Fine," he said, and walked off, trailing Cid and Geoffry behind him. As they reached the inn, Matt's hair stood on end. Something was amiss. Hesitantly, Matt approached the innkeeper. Wyl tried to smile offputtingly. Only three. Oh well. The other two were weak sauce anyway. "May I help you?" "Yes," Matt began warily, "We need two rooms, one with two beds, one with three." All right, I'll put you in." He leaned toward the computer and snagged his finger on a wire, smirking. All three perceived the action at the same time, ducking out of the way. Had they been human, the flurry of knives would have killed them for sure. Matt paled. "W-what the heck was that for?" He demanded, then called out to Cid and Geoffry: "If he wants a fight we'll give him one!" In place of three teenagers, there were suddenly three large, angry wolves. "What are you talking about?" He tripped the second wire and a section of the ceiling rushed down. Matt escaped just in the nick of time, narrowly avoiding getting crushed to death. "Geoffry stood, unscathed, near the door, but Cid was nowhere to be found. It was at that moment that Matt became aware of a pathetic yelping. As he turned, he saw Cid's head poking out of the wreckage. Thankfully, he was only pinned, but if this wacko set off anymore traps, Cid would be done for. With a fiery determination, Matt rushed the figure, closing the gap in seconds and chomping down with bone crushing force on his arm. Wyl started laughing. Matt swore as his teeth released Wyl's bionic arm. Matt charged again, this time going for the throat. "Wrong, dog-brain." Wyl held out his bionic hand in front of him and electricity danced along his fingertips. "You need a shock collar." Matt was flung back by the force, smashing into the far wall. A pained whimper escaped his lips, then he passed out. Wyl flipped up over the table, tripping a wire in midair that pinned Matt to the wall. He walked toward the third werewolf. "Looks like its you and me." He smirked. "Geof, your move." Geof stood straight up, changing into his half wolf form. "If you wanted a fight, you've got one now!" Geoffry said, grabbing Wyl's mechanical arm and squeezing. The metal began to buckle under his fingertips. "I'd stop if I were you. It'll explode." "Good, at least you'll go out in the blast." He said, squeezing tighter. Wyl raised an eyebrow. "Very... valiant." His other hand grasped a wire out of the air. "But what about the pup?" "What pup?" Geoffry smirked, gesturing to an empty pile where Cid was, up until recently. In his place stood a strikingly beautiful girl with cloudy blue eyes and skin as pale as the moon. Long blond hair fell in a cascade around her back, and every part of her seemed to radiate an unearthly aura. Geoffry chuckled. "Meet Alice," he said, and squeezed tighter. Now that Cid and Jacob were out, he felt no compunction about taking both himself and Wyl at the same time. "Say your prayers." Wyl smirked as more metal cracked. "How much of me do you think is human?" Geoffry snorted. "Your head is all I need." He paused for a moment, then asked: "Why? Why did you attack my brothers? What did we do to you?" Wyl's face took on a look of total malice. "You existed!" he raged. And then it blew up. "Thank God for Alice," Geoffry thought as the blast ripped his body to shreds... or tried to. Alice had skipped over and used her powers to turn both of them immaterial. Sadly, she wasn't fast enough to negate the damage. "I'm going to need a LOT of stitches," Geoffry thought, then the world turned black. Anette walked among the rubble and stumbled across 'Wyl.' She watched as the color faded from his eyes. "Wonderful things, robots." Wyl walked up to Anette. "Don't you think?" Anette turned on him. "What did you do this time?" Wyl smiled. "Almost killed a werewolf." He held up his thumb and forefinger an inch apart. "This close." Anette slapped away his hand. "Where are they now?" Wyl smile widened. "The hospital." He winked at her. "Watch out, though. I might kill them." Matt hovered over Geoffry's bedside, fervently hoping he would be alright. "If only I had stayed..." Matt said, his fists shaking. Alice floated over. "If you had stayed, one of you would have had to die. I can only turn one person immaterial at a time," she consoled, placing her hand on his shoulder. The door rang as Anette and Wyl stepped in. Wyl sighed. "Duller and duller each time." Matt bared his fangs, snarling viciously. Alice floated in front of him. "You have a lot of nerve coming here," she said, glowering at him. Wyl smirked. "Don't worry,, I won't kill noobs," he looked at Matt, "especially ones that pass out after one zap." Alice stopped short, glaring at Wyl. "I don't think you understand..." she began, as the lights in the room began to flicker and the furniture to shake, "how powerful I really am!" Pictures flew off the wall and shattered at Wyl's feet. the floor tiles cracked and shattered. A candle roared to life in the corner of the room, sending flames high as the ceiling. Alice chuckled darkly. "You don't even know if I'm really here. Besides, if you kill me, I self destruct and the whole town dies." Alice chuckled again. "Oh, I would never kill you, but by the time I got through with you, you'd wish you were dead." There was danger in her voice, enough to make Wyl falter just a bit with his bravado. Wyl flinched, then his face became a mask of anger. "Well-" Anette stood between them both. "Please, in a hospital?!" Alice giggled then dropped into a curtsy. "As you wish, Anette." She grimaced. "Oookay... Wyl?" His face softened. "Fine." Then, under his breath, "not worth it anyway." Cid walked through the door, puzzled. "Alice? Is everything OK-" He stopped short when he saw Wyl. "Oh no! He's come to finish the job!" Alice shook her head. "Don't worry, pup, you wouldn't be alive if I wanted to kill you." Alice eyes glowed with an unearthly fire. "If you touch my brother," she began, training her eyes on Wyl, "I will kill you with no hesitation." "Oh so you're siblings?" He smiled. "Not that we're on speaking terms, but how is that other world?" "As you said, we're not on speaking terms," Alice said curtly. Anette grimaced. "This won't end well." Matt sidled over. "I put $10 on Alice." "How, she's intangible." "...It's a bet." "But... I need my money!" Rey stepped in with a soda. "What'd I miss?" Matt face palmed. "Where have you been?" McDonald's." Cid gasped. "Did you bring the apple pie I asked for?" "Yes, it's still warm." Cid bounced up and down in sheer joy. "Yaaay! I love apple pie!" Geoffry sat up slowly, looking confused. "Where am I... and why is he here?!" Geoffry snarled, staring at Wyl. What's wrong?" Wyl grinned. "You act like I'm supposed to be dead." Geoffry winced as the wound on his side sent pain shooting through his body. "Great, I can't shift... but when I can..." Wyl's grin widened. "What? You'll kill me?" He snorted. "Like I'll stick around for the fireworks." He put his arm around Anette's neck. "Besides, as long as Anette knows where you are, I can't kill you. Geoffry snorted, indignation clear on his face. "Just wait..." he said with a touch of relish. "Tell me, have you ever seen what wolf teeth can do to human flesh?" Wyl winced. "Don't ever bring that up again!" "What's wrong?" Alice asked with mock concern. "It looks like there's something in your past you don't want to bring up." Wyl's eye twitched. "Go on, air head, keep it up. Just don't let your brother out of your sight." Alice grinned evilly. "Don't worry, I won't let him out of my sight. I'd rather I kill you than him." Wyl half-grimaced, half-smirked. "I don't think you could do that easily. I know all about your kind. I know about the scourge of it." He said, then whispered in her ear, "I know about the Reaper." Alice recoiled in shock. "S-someone did their homework." I had to. Who else will kill my dad?" Alice paled, backing away from Wyl. "I take that into offense, you know." He snorted. "Like I care. So, what are all of you doing here?" "Before you jumped us we were TRYING to get supplies to fight the beast." Cid said slightly peeved. "The beast?" Wyl turned to Anette. "What did you get yourself into this time?" Anette looked nervous, "We-" Rey cut her off. "Treasure hunting." "Okay, then, it's settled. I'm helping." Matt shook with fury. "N-no..." Oh, shut up, dog brain, I'm on your side now." Matt snorted. "Wrong. I'm on nobody's side." Matt's eyes glowed with suppressed hated. "Because of you, Geoffry nearly died. If you think for one minute I would ever consider siding with you, you're dumber than you look." "Oh, so you're one of those smart dogs." He smirked. "Weird, I thought they were all female." That was the last straw. Matt shifted, where he stood, into the huge, tan wolf. Cid followed suit. Two wolves intent on ripping his throat out charged at Wyl, while Alice giggled quietly. He had it coming. Wyl flinched, then held up his wrist. A light blinked on the underside. "Don't forget, I'm a human bomb." Neither wolf seemed to care as Matt lashed out at Wyl's face with a razor sharp claw. Wyl's entire upper body whipped to the right as the claw made contact. He turned to face forward. A gash ran the length of his cheek. Or his would be cheek. Sparks came out of the gash at irregular intervals. Wyl smirked with the half of his face that wasn't dead. "Been there, done that." Matt and Cid recoiled in shock. Matt shifted back, slightly less furious. "Why don't you stop playing your stupid mind games?" Alice suggested before she added, "the next time, I'll help and then all the machinery in the world won't save you." The threat in her voice made even Geoffry shudder. He had seen Alice mad. The body had never been found. "You'll get your chance to kill me. Just make sure everyone you care about is at least two miles away, okay?" Alice laughed again, striding across the room to stand in front of Wyl. She closed her eyes, apparently in intense focus. Her hand thrust out and grabbed Wyl's face, then the world went black. "Welcome to Limbo," she said. "All I have to do is transport you here, and all your explosives will touch is ectoplasm." "For all you know, I could have robots killing your brother right now. And as long as I'm away from Thrae, they'll keep coming." Alice snorted. "As I thought, can't even tell reality from fiction." The vision dissolved. "Psychokinesis." Wyl raised an eyebrow. "So, it's going to be mind games, bi-" The alarm started wailing. "Evacuate, evacuate, evacuate!" The electronic voice continued to wail. A sharp wind burst the windows by Geoffry's bed apart. The beast ambled in nonchalantly, its hungry eyes trained on Anette. "Good evening, friends," it said, body swaying side to side like a cobra poised to strike, "I hope you don't mind me dropping in for dinner." He chuckled. Matt and Cid shifted into their wolf forms, tan and chocolate charging the beast in unison. The beast smirked and twirled his finger. The wall in front of him shattered, and Rey, Anette, Wyl, Geoffry, Matt, Cid all blew out. Alice gasped. "Cid!" Anger caused her form to quiver, beside her a huge chunk of rubble floated into the air. "Die!" Alice screamed as the chunk slammed into the beasts ribs. It bellowed in pain. "I don't have to deal with you." And it was gone. A rumble began above her. Alice ran to Cid, helping him up "There's no doubt about it," she said, "that monster was from the other world." *** Anette sat up. She was lying on the ground, far off from the hospital. Rey stood by her. Wyl looked around and sighed with the side if his mouth that still worked. "Safe." "Hello, meat." The beast had come for them. *** The wolves, after seeing Geoffry was safe, charged off toward the scent of the beast. This was not good... Matt swore to himself. They would never make it in time... *** "Move it!" Wyl shouted. The beast smashed its fist down and a huge scythe of wind shot outward. All three dodged. Wyl put his hand flat out and electricity shot toward the beast. Anette turned around and discovered an iron bar. She'd fight, too. She broke part off and twirled it in the air, getting the feel of it. The electricity shot toward the beast, who deflected it toward Anette. "Throw it away, it's a lightning rod!" Rey screamed at Anette. She dropped the iron bar and jumped away as the bar was electrocuted. "Talk about impossible situations!" *** The fight was all confusion. The group swirled and rotated around the beast, trying to finish it off. Sand orbited in crystal micro beads. There was suddenly a rush of air and heat. Fire screamed through the air and circled above the beast. The sand and dirt in the air glittered and popped. The inferno disappeared suddenly and glass shattered down on the beast. It roared in pain. It shook its head, raining blood down on the group. The ground shook and the beast heaved right, then left, then disappeared. The dust started to settle and a figure dropped from the sky right where the beast used to be. Everyone stared as a young woman with straight, to the shoulder, light brown hair and hazel blue eyes appeared with a full grin and said, "Having some trouble?" Behind her, two ruffled black wings shook slightly and shrunk back into her shoulder blades. Anette's father opened an e-mail from his daughter. It went: 'Dear Dad, Sorry to e-mail you asking for something(again). But the inn needs er...renovations. Could you please send money? Please? We've met someone new recently. I'm sending a picture. All we got from her is her name, Krystena. She's really quiet. Can you find out what species she is for me? I'd like to know. Anette The worlds are as follows: There are two worlds, Earth and Thrae. Thrae is the main. Thrae is exactly like Earth, both technologically and geographically. However, Thrae occupants have not set their world up to die, as those of Earth have(Global warming, overpopulation, world wars(yet), etc. Different species are indigenous to different worlds. Humans are neither indigenous to Earth or Thrae, though they were indigenous to Earth originally. Werewolves are indigenous to Thrae. Someone who dies before their time is sent to the other world, in some cases without their memory. Someone who dies before their time in both worlds becomes a phantom. Other species currently or previously involved include: dragons. The races are: Werewolves: Werewolves, first and foremost, are nothing like they are in the movies. For a person to be a werewolf, one of their ancestors must have been one. The werewolf gene rests on the Y chromosome, meaning that only males can develop it. All males have this gene, but only 4% will ever develop it. All werewolves lust for human meat, but the want is managable, and most can live among society with no issue. A werewolf has three forms, human, wolf, and half wolf. His half wolf form is only accesable during the full moon, possibly because of the genes reaction to moonlight in large doses. Most "evil" werewolves choose to feed at this time, because in their half wolf form, there is little any human can do to resist. They are free, however, to shift between human and wolf forms with no restrictions. It is also entirely possible for a werewolf to live it's entire life without "phasing", in the exception of the very first full moon, in which a frenzied change into a half wolf is guaranteed. While in the half wolf state, the persons judgement and rationale suffer, but they are gifted with great power and durability. The half wolf form is also capable of human speech. Phantom: A phantom is a ghost, but exponentially more powerful. They are created when a person dies on both Earth and Thrae before there time came. No longer bound by either world, they are free to roam as far as they please, and do whatever they will. Their powers include, but are not limited to; psychokinesis, telekinesis, pyrokinesis, invisibility, possesion, and the ability to make themselves tangible for a short period of time. (i.e. long enough to beat the living crap out of somebody.) They are always extrodinarily beautiful, much more so than they were in life, and are marked by cloudy eyes and nearly albino skin. They are in constant danger, however, of the Reaper. a mysterious being who seeks to keep the boundaries between the human world and the spirit one. Because phantoms can interact so closely with humans, and indeed, appear to be one of them, the Reaper views them as a threat, and constantly seeks to "erase" them. in otherwords, banish them from existance. (Credit to Necronightmare for the bios.) Humans(if you can't figure this out, PM me.) Also, cyborgs fall under whichever category their original species did(Such as Wyl, who falls under human.). Nonselectable Phoenixes: Pheonixes are a very rare and proud specie of bird, found only in Thrae. Firstly there are multiple different kinds of pheonixes, Ash and Silver Pheonixes are known. Ash Pheonixes hide in fires eating ash, whch gave them their names, most Pheonixes don't actually burn and recombobulate, only gold and Fire Pheonixes do that, Pheonixes either live in forests or mountains, usually the latter. They have unique abilities but are always very intelligent, some can even understand English. A very proud race some Pheonixes will go a very long way for revenge, they stalk their enemies from the sky. They don't get along with most species, not even their own, Pheonixes only meet once a year, during their mating season. Phoenixes also range from 1 and 5 feet in height, depending on specie. Their shared traits are: Long life, powerful talons, beauty, sharp feathers (only in some), omnivore traits, flight (duh), imunity to natural elements, super strength and cunning. Rarer traits found in certain species are: Universal language, inconceivable knowledge, beaks nearing dragon blood strength, invisibility, rebirth, breath/tears of life, invisibility, highly water dynamic, fire breath, dream travel and immortality (only found in white Pheonixes of which is only a legend). A powerful and dangerous species, most are non-violent, only when they are attacked do they attack back, or when they hunt but they never eat more than they need and thus only the large ones ever slay humans, no Phoenix will ever harm a child, even one that has harmed them. Credit to Murray3 B is the owner of Krystena, who shall also remain inactive until she sees fit. The Rules are as follows: 1. Curse and be as violent as the rating allows, no more. 2. You may have up to four characters at a time, and may kill as many and make as many as you want, as long as your number is four or less. 3. Please, try to have fun AND be kind. I know it's hard for some people, such as myself, but spamming and flaming can result in bans, and considering how this ended last time, losing a writer is unaffordable. 4. All inter-participator fights will be done over PM and then one of the participators will post all the fight. 5. The seven line rule applies. The character sheet is as follows: Neo-name: Your username Name: Your character's name Age: Your character's age Origin: Your character's world of origin(Earth/Thrae) Species: Your character's species Gender: Your character's gender Appearance: The appearance of your character/how he or she looks. Personality: The personality of your character. History: Your character's background and past. Other: Any extra information you may wish to add about your character If you wish to add a species, PM me with the character and a full species bio. The location of a character often depends on species. For instance: Werewolves live in the forest, along with Cid and Geoffry, humans live in various towns, buildings, etc., and phantoms exist whereever the one they're attached to is. Try to include locations as well in a species bio. I hope that once you have read this you will decide to join. re: Chronicles of Earth and Thrae(T)(No PM)Season1 |
|
This is for characters:
Foryx Neo-name: Foryx Name: Rey Age: 12 Origin: Earth Species: Human Gender: male Appearance: Relatively short, with honey colored eyes, brown hair, and pale skin. Has a tendency to wear blue, and his jeans have multiple stitches near the rear. Personality: Annoying, kiddish. History: He doesn't know his own past, but he died on Earth and spent some time living at an orphanage until it burnt down, and then was found by Anette and Matt. Other: He has always preferred to read the RPs and NES's of other people rather than go outside and train with Anette and Matt. He uses treasure hunting as his idea of his own little RP. He also helps around the inn. Neo-name: Foryx Name: Anette Age: 16 Origin: Thrae Species: Human Gender: Female Appearance: Red hair, Sapphire eyes, and partially tan, wears a variety of colors, and has a scar on her forehead that she hides with her bangs. Personality: Kind, but has some buttons. History: She inherited her father's inn on her fourteen birthday when her father went out to manage a newer, larger inn in the next county. After a year of managing the inn, she grew bored. She then met Matt, and they began treasure-hunting. Other: Anette is often stressed from balancing a job she loves with the job she was born to. She has considered dropping one or the other at times. Where Rey has his whole life on the internet, Anette rarely uses it, and when she does, she only communicates with her father. She spends the rest of her time arranging the next expedition, going around St. Trusdale for information, or managing the inn. Sleep for her is often a luxury she can't afford. Most of her sleeping is done when she is knocked unconscious. Extra: Did you notice that no one was at the inn when the beast attacked? The inn was closed so she Rey and Matt could take a break. The inn is located near the East coast of the Thrae equivalent of America. Neo-name: Foryx Name: Wyl Age: 17 Origin: Thrae Species: Human(Cyborg) Gender: Male Appearance: Black hair, brown eyes, fair skin, and half a body made up of bionics. Personality: He thinks himself better than werewolves and those associated with them. He's not too kind to anyone else either. History: Wyl was born into one of the more wealthy families of St. Trusdale. His father left when Wyl was twelve; Wyl, once a model student(albeit a rude one), became more and more violent: getting into fights, and maiming. This continued until the police removed his left arm. He replaced it himself with a bionic one. His father returned home after he turned fourteen. Wyl then realized his father was a werewolf, and his father then proceeded to tear Wyl's mother to shreds and attacked Wyl. He crushed Wyl's arm and Wyl realized his arm would explode when enough pressure was applied. When he woke up at the hospital, most of the the left half of his body replaced by bionics, the doctors told them his father had paid the bills and that he had mised the funeral for what was left of his mother. Wyl could not scream or otherwise because the bionic parts of his body were not yet active. He then proceeded to sink into a depression that lasted even after he left the hospital, healthy. This depression lasted until he met Anette. They were together for a time, he working as co-manager at her inn and she using him as an escape route from the awful boredom she faced every day. However, there came a day when going out to movies, theme parks, dinners served by their employees became boring. She had also met Matt by that time, and knew Wyl hated werewolves by his reactions when they came to stay at the inn. Matt didn't know about Wyl, and vice versa. Wyl was shattered when he saw the e-mail telling him they had broken up. Instead of becoming depressed, Wyl built an inn to rival Anette's. However, he doesn't try very hard to outdo her. Other: Wyl does have werewolf blood, but the gene has not been activated, and with half his body gone, it wouldn't make much difference. Necronightmare(formerly known as 'Z') Neo-name: Necronightmare Name: Matt Age: 16 Origin: Thrae Species: Werewolf Gender: Male Appearance: Tall and thin, Matt looks every one of his 16 years, if not more. He has medium length brown hair that is nearly always matted and dirty, and red eyes. He dresses commonly in a red T-shirt and khaki shorts. (He does his best to appear normal) His wolf form is tan, with red eyes. His half wolf form is tan, with a humanoid body covered in fur and a wolven head. The fur on his chest is white. Personality: Cocky, irrational, and a little immature sometimes, but when it comes down to it, he can be a focused fighter and an effective planner. History: Born normal, he became a Werewolf at age 15, and during the transformation, injured Anette. The two are now partners in a treasure hunting buisiness, with Matt happy to work as the feild guy. He has little tolerance for Rey. Other: The Alpha in his pack, he commands Cid and Geoffrey. Neo-name: Same as above Name: Cid Age: 13 Origin: Thrae Species: Werewolf Gender: Male Appearance: A young, slight boy, he is the runt of the pack. He has dark brown hair, and blue eyes. He dresses modestly in a short sleeved shirt and long pants. His wolf form is chocolate brown, and has red eyes. His half wolf form has the same fur color and eye color as the wolf form. Personality: Empathetic and playful, Matt and Geoffrey consider him a "were-puppy". History: VERY little is known about Cid, as he has had ammnesia since the day he transformed and killed his sister, Alice. He feels terrible about what he did, despite her constant reassurances that it's alright. Neo-name: Same as above Name: Geoffrey Age: 18 Origin: Thrae Species: Werewolf Gender: Male Appearance: A tall, muscular boy with long black hair, Geoffrey is almost always scowling. He wears a black shirt and black pants. His wolf form is deep grey, with red eyes. His half wolf form is black, with red eyes. Personality: Quiet and aloof, Geoffrey seems apathetic, but, once in a great while, and only to his closest friends, he can be very kind and gentle. But what are the odds? History: A mysterious pack member picked up by Matt, Geoffrey does not speak of his past. Not that he speaks much anyway, but... when he does, it's not about his past. (XD) Neo-name: See above Name: Alice Age: 15 Origin: Thrae Species: Phantom Gender: Female Appearance: A thin, wiry girl with alabaster skin, Alice seems to flicker like a candle when viewed from the corner of one's eye. This is largely due to the fact that she is dead and a ghost. She refuses to wear anything but her favorite white dress, and since it cannot get dirty, no really minds. Alice has long, angelic blonde hair and cloudy blue eyes. Personality: Sweet and trusting to her friends, an ice queen to her enemies. Indifferent to everyone else. History: Alice lived with Cid up untill he transformed and killed her in a wild fury. Now she... exists with Cid, and acts as a friend, sister, and confidante. She is more than happy to help her brother and his friends. Other: Being a Phantom, Alice has some physical properties, the most notable being the ability to become solid for short periods of time. It is in this way that she avoids the detection of the reaper, and fits into normal society. Imironman Neo-name: Imironman Name: Shayne Age: 19 Origin: Thrae Species: Half-elf Gender: male Appearance: 6-foot-4, 220 lbs of muscle green armor/red shoulder and knee pads, shoulder length hair, 6 inch goatee, both blonde, red gauntlets, full length katana on his hip: green sheath, red handle, gold hand guard and pommel Personality: quiet, laid back, but serious in the face of danger History: born in the thrae equivelent of osaka japan, he had a rough youth. His mother died when he was 4 and his father beat him until he went into a growth spurt. Upon his mother's death, he developed amazing powers. He kept them secret from his father until he learned how to control them. when he developed total control, he murdered his father in his bed. He now lives in the countryside of the Thrae japan, where he works as a smith forging swords, pikes and other weapons and armors. He has trained in european sword play when he was 16, but went back to japan on his 18 birthday Other:Shayne is a psychic as well as trained in nearly all european swordplay, from rapier to greatsword and has mastered 75% of them all, but hs best is katana. Murray3 Neo-name: Your username Name: Mordag Irgg (Mordag is a play on the word random) Age: No one is sure(In the 15-25 range) Origin: Thrae Species: Elven, Squirrel knight Gender: Male Appearance: Short but wears a huge Squirrel suit exposing all but his arms, legs and face, the suit is made of clay, the suit has a hole wear Mordag's head shows, his arms stick out of holes to the side allowing him to wield weapons, the bottom stays off the ground by about 5 inches so he can't move very fast due to the lack of leg-room, the Squirrel suit has huge eyes and a huge tail. Personality: Split, he is random and unpredictable, he loves explosions but hates being told he can't do something, no matter what that something is, he is trigger happy and doesn't understand many things but does them anyway, on the other hand he suddenly becomes alert, the tail of his suit uncurls (despite being made of clay) and he slits his eyes. Image: History: His background is foggy at best but all the elves hate him, he lived alone until one day two weeks ago he became so out-of-hand that he was banished from the elven camp within the woods... Other: In short Mordag does whatever he wants in whatever way he can, even if it's physically impossible, he is the first Squirrel knight, and possibly the last. Neo-name: What do you think? Name: TBA Age: 18 Origin: Thrae Species: Elven Gender: Female Appearance: She has long black hair, alot of which covers at least one of her eyes, she is short like a normal elf but is quite beautiful, her eyes are a heavy shade of purple which instantly grabs people's attention, she wears a type of armor that covers her torso and has long robe like sleeves, she also wears a knife on her leg, it was made entirely from Dragon blood and thus cannot be broken except by other dragon based materials, this is her only true possession. Personality: She is very dark, she only talks to answer questions, or to ask them. She never builds a relationship with people, she only hates one of her parnents, the one who went and married a human, otherwise she takes an entirely none-emotional approach to her work, she can be nasty if disturbed, if she finds her work too easy she will be likely to kill someone. If she chooses to team with someone she does not feel she owes them anything, in fact, if her team 'mates' slow her down she may kill them, but if they can get away from her fast enough she won't consider them worth her time. History: Her parents were split up when she was little, one went and got married to a human, the other was killed, she fended for herself as she grew up, as these elves were in a state of poverty they couldn't help her, as she grew she became more and more savage, eventually she became feared by her own kind, now she has been sent to kill Mordag Other: I'm considering having her related to Imironman's character if he will allow such a thing to happen. Battle style: She starts off playing with them, to test their strength, however she does not like them to let their guards down so she tells them when she's going to act tougher, if she thinks the person will be easy she gives herself a handicap and hopes that'll be enough, if they're tough she reaches for her knife and goes for the weak points, that is, the heart, neck and spine. As previously stated the knife can break through anything, however it is powerfully weak against magic as it will increase the strength of magic used against her, also it has a short reach and could be taken and used against her. Foxyboxer Neo-name: FoxyBoxer Name: Brynn Hilder Age: 18 Origin: Alberta,Canada ~ Thrae Species: Quarter-elf (daughter of a half-elf and human) Gender: Female Appearance: 5 ft. 9, with a rather slender frame that conceals surprising strength and reflexes. Her hair is blonde, but so light you'd swear that it was white. It is also long, draping about halfway down her back, but she usually keeps it in a modest ponytail. Her eyes are a soft grey-blue. Brynn habitually wears tough brown trousers and a dark blue/green fleece. She also has a pale grey cloak for harsher weather, which she had weaved herelf years before. Strapped to her right thigh is a small hunting knife, and over her should is a pouch, containing her personal belongings and some supplies (if any). Personality: innately shy, Brynn finds it difficult to interact with people for a number of reasons. She's happy to help anyone she sees, but often she tends to mess up what she was attempting to do. Generally she has a calm demeanor, but Brynn gets easily flustered around people, and wears her heart on her sleeve. This is a good thing too, since Brynn also sufferes from Aphonia. In other words, she's a mute. History: Brynn was born in Lobo, a tiny, often overlooked town surrounded by mountains and thick forest, with a only a single road leading out. Like many of the people from this backwater village, Brynn's parents died during the terrible landslide, which had buried half the town under rock and rubble. Brynn, an infant of 18 months, was subsequently raised by her grandfather, Hector, who would often take her camping in the surrounding wilderness. She learned how to hunt and survive on her own, but she was never extremely talented at it. Nevertheless, Brynn felt at home in the forest, and it became a place of refuge for her. When she was 16, Hector passed on. Alone, Brynn left Lobo in search of a purpose. Taking odd jobs to earn money, and often (clumsily) forraging her own food, Brynn caught a plane to Europe. She is currently staying in a youth hostel, yet she never forgets to get back to nature. Other: As previously stated, Brynn's a mute. She keeps a small notebook in her pouch, and will write in it several times a day. Not being able to speak, this is how she is able to express herself. However, she doesn't let ANYONE touch it. She may not say it, but her knife says HANDS OFF. Gangey Neo-name: Gangey Name: Gilan Age: 14 Origin: Thrae Species: werewolf Gender: male Appearance: Is a human boy with blonde-brown short hair, he has a tallish figure with slowly growing muscles. He wears a black cloak that with a hood that covers his hair. Under the cloak he has hidden armor. Personality: He has a happy personality. He jokes alot and is usually smiling. He is strong on the inside but sometimes shares his emotions to much. History: Your character's background and past will be done shortly. Other: Every full moon he turns into a wolf. He is trying to learn to control his power so he can use it any time. Neo-name: Necromathar Name: Avery Age: 1649, looks 21 Origin: Thrae Species: Were-wolf Gender: Male Appearance: A brown wolf with black markings covering his entire body. Avery has a fixed form, that of a were (not full human or wolf). He is lean, and has deep, black eyes. Personality: Avery is very reserved, he wont take to anyone quickly and doesn't like to waste words. He is usually calm and hates petty fights between people. History: Avery doesn't like to speak of his past. He hates wars and battles, so much so that he sealed himself inside a tree to escape it. Other: He has a fear and hate for metal as it weakens him greatly. He has mental control over all four elements and psychokinesis, but using them weakens him greatly. Ideas for the next main plot can be sent by PM, too.
This is reserved for those. First main plot idea; submitted by Foxyboxer: Main Plot(Thrae): It begins with a murder. For many years, the humans and half-elves of Sweden have held an uneasy peace with the Werewolves of Norway. However, when the savaged body of a prominent Swedish politcal figure is found on Norwegian soil, fear and distrust sweep the country, and war is declared. Norway claims to have had no part in the tragedy, but still opts to forgo diplomatic negotiations. It seems they have been waiting for an opportunity such as this. The populace rallies in support of the war. And here is where our heroes come in. Some may support the Werewolves, who only defend their native soil. Some may join with the Humans, who were wronged first. Some may be caught up in the middle of it all, as city after city is captured, becoming a battlefield it was never supposed to be. But there is something strange beneath the surface. Despite claiming ignorance, the Norwegian government was swift to cover up the details of the alleged murder. What was the Swedish Politician doing there in the first place? And why was war so quickly and arbitrarily declared? Is this all just politics, or is something far more serious going on here? Votes: Yes=5 No=1 Votes closed: single no overruled. By Murray: Okay, a psychic, a human psychic that is, learns of the mechanics of Earth and Thrae, both exist parallel to eachother but can never be seen under the same eye, but he learns that if the two were to touch, a massive energy spike would be triggered as they tried to cancel each other out, this would cause a black hole powerful enough to suck in the entire universe and explode restarting the universe, but not without cause, he plans on jumping through time, having already built the time machine he just needs enough power to make it run, the energy spike Earth and Thrae release should be enough. Yes: 4 No: 0 Left: 2 By Murray: Mission: She has been sent after Mordag, she eventually finds a couple of people who know him, they're both after him but he's already taken a trip to Muskung, she lets her team live, for now, but travels over there, Mordag had already been kicked out of Mustang and as she travels around after him she meets Shayne several times, eventually (with Imironman's permission of coure) she discovers who Shayne's parents are, she then wants to find out where her parent (Mother or Father Iron can choose) is but Shayne had left before she found out (having found a picture of Shayne's parents). This is a page for specific character plots. These are sent by PM. Btw, for those of you who have read before and not checked back, I have edited the first post.
Mordag His quest will be similar to Zim's, because Mordag quits being banished and wants a quest like a number of other elves (all of which never appear again) he is given a quest so stupidly perilous that he is expected to die, then either: He forgets his quest, finds a new one. Completes the quest, decides to celebrate which gets him into trouble. Makes his quest even harder than it should be, somehow. The quest is basically to destroy a dragon or wipe out a hord of evil elves. This message was edited by Foryx on Jul 30 2008. ------------------- ![]() 1000 post

Well, then, let's get Matt, Anette and the buddies rebuilding the inn.
Note: Highlight Char to char introductions and other stuff you see important for the previous plots section. Rey walked toward the door with a plank of wood. Then Wyl shoved him out of the way carrying three planks per arm and a packet of nails in his mouth. He dropped his load at where the werewolves were fixing a hole in the wall. Matt growled. He still hated Wyl, and seriously doubted anything would change that. "Best not to get distracted..." he muttered to himself, turning back to the tedious task of mending the decimated wall. Cid and Geoffrey stared at the hole incredulously. "How do you expect us to repair that!?" Cid complained, whining slightly.

"People, I regret to inform you that our peaceful way of life has been threatened, we can no longer go on taking a neutral side if we wish to get past the winter!" The Elder called over the croud which had very negative results.
The second Elder, who always had something positive to say when the other said something negative stood forward, "However, once this is over we shall have more food than we know what to do with, foraging will no longer be compulsery!" The croud cheered but the other Elder continued. "But we require your assistance, we need some warriors to defeat our foes before they next strike, we won't be attacking directly, instead we will be decreasing their strength by attacking things necessary to them!" Several croud members looked around, one member of the croud stood up and joined the Elders, kneeling. "I shall take this quest... FOR THE ELVES OF GEMINI!(I'm really bad at names, so bear with me)" The warrior was always considered the strongest of all the elves, he took down dear and bear, alone sometimes, he had only a dagger. Several more members of the elven clan joined until suddenly there was a noise that no one could have expected. "Oh, Mordag Irgg has a cat, Mordag Irgg has a cat, Mordag Irgg has a cat... HE HAS A CAT SO MUCH!!!" Mordag flew out of the trees at a high speed, slamming right onto the platform the elders were standing on. (NOTE: Everything Mordag says in serious form is in red) "SIR, Mordag Irgg ready and awaiting comands... Oooh! Wass'at?" Mordag asked pointing at the crater he made. "Mordag, I thought we banished you!" The elders spoke together, only Mordag could make them do so. "Yeah but it was boring so I quit..." Mordag muttered. "You quit being banished?" "Yeah, so quit stalling mission me!" The elders huddled around and started discussing. "Just re-banish him!" "He'll come right back!" "Call it a holiday!" "He'll find a way back from that too!" "We can't give him a mission!" "Yeah but he destroys everything he touches, we can't keep him here!" "Wait a second, let's send him on a mission after all!" "Even better, an impossible mssion!" "Mordag, in light of your recent, stuff, we've decided to let you take our most fun mission ever!" "YAAY!!! I FORGET WHAT THAT MEANS!" Mordag screamed. "We want you to leave the woods and go north to the Elves--" "Wait, which ways north?" Mordag questioned. "That way, now, just go up that path--" "I don't see a path!" Mordag said. "A metaphorical path!" The negative Elder corrected. "And when you see a large amount of wood and cannons, we want you to go in there and blow the whole thing up!" Mordag sped off, faster than his squirral suit should allow through the woods, but what the Elders neglected to mention, along with the crippling pain was that this camp was several miles away, but thanks to this Mordag made some new friends... ------------------- Earthbound Role Play quote Gotenks

Matt stopped, listening. "Cid, Geof, hear that?" he asked, cocking an ear to the woods. "I-it sounds like someone's coming!" Cid exclaimed, biting his lip. Geoffrey sighed. "If they would come, let them come. There is absolutely no way for whoever it is to take us all on."

Mordag came to a halt, "CAKE TIME!" He blurted out and pull out an oven and some mittens, reaching in he pulled out the tasty mouthwatering cake, the smell was so strong if anyone else but Mordag had it they'd have eaten it by now. Mordag however cut out a single slice and started wizzing it about in his hand, "Vrrrm, rhrhr, pupupupupu, shkapoom! Neurrrr, tktktktk KAPOW!" He yelled and ate the slice in one bite, spitting out several items that Mordag just had to include in the batter. Mordag pulled out his map, so North is the way with the arrow hm? Was what his thoughts ment, you don't even want to think about how he thinks!

The wind was picking up. Brynn pulled her cloak in tighter, and hastened her progress. While most sane travellers would avoid the woods, especially so late at night, Brynn was not like most people. Nor, she thought idly to herself, very sane in the traditional sense. She could deal with the wilderness, of that she was...mostly confident. It was people, and the implied interaction, that posed the largest hurdle. Still, as the forboding clouds congregated above her, mocking her as they threatened to unleash their divine judgement. Either that, or it was going to rain. Brynn preferred her first interpretation.
She stalled for a moment underneath a particularly convenient tree, complete with thick foliage and thick roots to sit on. She tried to convince herself it was merely to check the map, but really she needed to catch her breath. She had been going for several hours straight now, and her feet and lungs were locked in a fierce competition, vying for the title of 'most excruciating pain ever.' At this point, it was only fair to give them a tie. Brynn all but collapsed backwards, which would have been embarassing if not for her preferred privacy. Panting heavily, she swung her pack around in front of her, and dug out her map. Best to keep up appearances, even if it's to yourself, she thought. Apparently there was a settlement nearby...she hoped. It was a small, rural village, but with any luck there would be an inn or motel there. Just something to wait out the coming storm. The lettering was small, and Brynn couldn't make out the name in the dark. Not that such a detail was incredibly important, it's just that curiosity is like a parasite, and she's been infected before. Stowing the map away, Brynn stood up and stretched her limbs. She still wasn't exactly 100%, but it wasn't much farther, and she was under a clock that simply refused to tell her the time. There was a rumble in the distance, or at least that's what Brynn convinced herself of, so she headed off immediately, towards the nameless town. She thought it was her salvation, but soon it would become her prison. ------------------- Obscure video game reference #273: "The right eye sees charity"
