For Generation 1, and non-competitively (since Mew isn't allowed in league/tournament play)? Yes. Mew sweepers will dominate all aspects of gameplay with minimal effort. The only things super effective against Psychic in Gen 1 are Ghost and Bug, the former of which only has one attack which applies (Lick) and its attack power is pitifully low, and the latter of which only has two (Twineedle and Pin Missile), both of which are also pretty weak.

Though I've since revised my team; I'm using a different main from Mew, one that's tournament legal. Not that it makes much difference anymore at this point in time, but this way, if I ever do find someone to play with they won't be complaining about the use of legendaries.

"Assuming that's true," because I've never used Lick to any significant degree in any generation and I didn't feel like looking it up at the time. I have since come upon a Generation 1 type chart and found the same information, and now believe your statement to be true. Because, no, I don't believe anything anyone tells me on a whim without multiple sources or something backing it up.

You're right about Leech Life; I misspoke. The only two Bug-type moves in Generation 1 which can be used practically as super-effective against Psychic types are Pin Missile and Twineedle. Leech Life has an attack power of... 15, right? It technically qualifies as super effective, but it's no more useful than Lick would be if it did affect Psychic types.

If your cartridge no longer saves the porblem that is most likely is the batterey inside the cartridge is dead. You can take it out and replace it if you dont want to buy a new game but still want to play.

I usually had put one of them away when I needed to bring a pokemon with a needed field move. I also kind of went overboard with leveling butterfree x_x'.
