May brother and I were thinking of getting a mate House of the Dead 3 and a light gun for Christmas.

However, I had a few questions first, and I'd be very grateful for any help.

For one thing, are light guns actually any good? I've been browsing the various messages and threads here, and they mainly seem to contain complaints about various light guns, about accuracy or ugliness and so on.

If it is worth getting a light gun, then which one? We can spend up to about £20 pounds, but can't really afford any more than that. So are there any decent guns at that sort of price?

Another thing I wanted to ask about was callibration. Do you have to callibrate a light gun every single time you want to use it, or just for the first time? Also, how long does it take?

To summarise, I just want to know; are light guns any good, if so, which one, and what about callibration.

We are in the UK, so we need to know about light guns available there - that's if they're worth having!

I can't really measure your money since I'm from the U.S. In our country it cost about $20-$30. They are pretty good guns my friend and I used them and it's awesome. It looks crappy on a controller trust me.
