which area are u fighting her? if u r fighting her by slateport id recommend either the slow way; use old rod to catch a lv.10 magikarp, add an exp share and battle til it evolves into gyarados or the quick way....train ure weaker pokemon to about lv 15-20...hope this helps!

LOL!!! give it to your sister! one time when i was 8-9 years old I told my 2 and a half year old sister not to touch my game because I had to go to the bathroom and that I had been trying for weeks to beat May. I was just about to start the fight when I went into the bathroom. when I came out, I see my sister holding my gba and got mad for like 5 min and when I look at my game (finally) "you have defeated trianer MAY"

I guess we underestimate thier minds. they are smarter than you think!

so your starter is torchic-(now combusken)...
her first pokemonif i correctly remeber is either breloom or shroomish. put combusken first, make it hold a cheri berry, pown it with ember or flame thrower. don't use physical attacks( attacks where you touch shroomish/breloom because it will paralyze you, if it doesn't already use stun spore, but that is what holding the cheri berry is for.
the rest of your pokemon should take care of everyone but swampert/marshtomp by exploiting weaknesses. teach your seedot bullet seed, train it a lot so that it can fight marshtomp.fight it with your other pokemon first and use attacks like growl and sand attack and tail whip and string shot to set your seedot/nuzleaf up for the big kill

my idea is 2 raise ur pokes a LOT and raise defense an SP> Defense then just 2 smash through her *bleep*ing pokes with a lvl. 40 or so sceptile.
