lap times are screwed |
|
I have noticed that every variance in sector times always has a '9' at the end. For example: +0.199 or +0.289 or -0.769 and so on. Every sector time I have, always has a last digit of 9. Furthermore, there is an alarming amount of times where I get the exact same sector time i.e. -0.000. Maybe this can happen occasionally, but it happens to me several times in a race weekend and every race weekend.
Lastly, I can be slower in the first sector, slower in the second sector and then a fraction of a second faster in the final section, and the time end up being a new fast lap. Go figure? Has anyone else noticed this? I have no doubt that the timers are inaccurate, or they round up or down to the nearest .09 of a second. | |

Yeah you know what that is with the sector times its because the sector times dont show your CURRENT fastest sector but each individual fastest one... SO if you did (suppose) a Sector 1 17.996 Sector 2 24.456 Sector 3 19.450 your laptime would be 1.01.902 then say you pound round for a few laps and beat each sector time by exactly 0.5 seconds but make a mistake elsewhere on each lap so you fastest lap stays the same? What happens is you then go round a whole lap and beat the above sector times by 0.4 seconds it will SHOW each sector as a 0.1 DEFICIT as you have done each sector quicker but at the end of the lap its actually a 1.00.702.... See what I mean? I've noticed some really weird times too though for sectors like ending 9s and that sort of stuff...
