I hope this game ends up being awesome, as it will be the first Dragon Quest game I will have ever played. Although, Square Enix always makes great games, so I am sure that this game will be great as well, and that I will like it a ton. ^-^

Lindsey, why not get DQ8? I know you would love it. ~_^

Anyway, I know this game will be good, not because of the series, but because of the Wii. It keeps getting great reviews. XD

Well, I might consider it, but I rather just wait to get a new game in the series. That way all of the "magic" is still new. Tehe. ^-^

Yep. Every Dragon Quest game has a new storyline. Never the same.

I do find it strange seeing that DQ8 was for the PS2 and now this title is for the Wii, does aybody know if the PS3 gets a DQ title too ??

Don't know, maybe the producers wanted someting else, or the title of the game is still in Japanese-English

Possibly to emphasize the fact that you get to control the swords? Or maybe just because the controls will be so radically different it doesn't seem like the series.

I like the sound of an on-rails sword slashing game. I can see Swords being a mix of Star Fox 64 and, er... Dragon Quest. Should be good fun.

While I think turn-based fights can be really engrossing/addictive, sometimes you just want to lash out at those pesky Slimes yourself.

My first Dragon Quest game.. Well not Dragon Quest but in its a Dragon Quest game it was Dragon Warriors: Cobis Adventure which is still my favourite GBC Game.

Are you sure that Dragon Quest Sword is actually Dragon Quest IX for the Wii?

Because ain't dragon quest sword some kind of spin-off like dragon quest monster.

the only thing bad about dragon quest is that se does rally care about us in the dq area they mainly focus an japan i mean how many dq games have we got and its illegal to sell dq on a week day in japan becuz people skip school and work to go buy it
