Thrillville 2: Off The Rails DS

I was disappointed last year when they released "Thrillville" only to the PSP! I have a DS, so I wasn't able to play it - except on my friend's system. So imagine my joy when I first heard that they were going to release a brand new game for the DS - here is my review:

So are you wondering if you should get the new "Thrillville: Off The Rails" game on the DS? Well - read on...
Here is an overview of what the game is like when you compare it to the versions on the Playstation and PSP:

1) There are only 7 mini-games! (When you compare it to over 30 games which are on the PSP version)
2) The angle perspective of the game is shockingly bad! Where on the PSP you can see everything from a first person view, on this DS version it is an overhead angle, which really looks childish and boring! There aren't even any first person views for any of the rides either - they are ALL from an overhead angle!
3)I thought it would be fun to be able to "design my own rollercoaster" as the description stated - however all you do is trace them and add one loop here and one loop there (not at all what I would call my "own" coaster).
4) There are only 6 parks and they are TINY! It's like the game wants to rush from park to park without any charm or fun to it at all.
5) You can get money way too easily! Once you have your employess (cleaners, mechanics, entertainers) and rides in your park - you never have to spend another cent on them! So money keeps coming in rapidly, and it won't ever go down - unless you get a new ride - but after, we are back to the money constantly rising again. So this is not a "sims" type of game either.

However, I did enjoy playing "air-hockey" and you can even download it from a single DS card to your friends system for multi-player action!
This isn't enough to really hold the pointless game together though. So if you have a playstation, or PSP buy "Thrillville" for that and forget this DS version. Unless you REALLY want it.
My rating would be 4 and a half out of 10!
I was looking forward to having this on the DS ever since I first heard of it, but after getting it I wish I hadn't.
I hope they release another version for the DS soon - but I hope they actually put some thought into it next time!

Yeah, unfortunately I fell into the same trap. I have the game on my Playstation 2 at home (I LOVE IT!) and was kind of hoping for a port of it on the Ninty DS, so I could play it when I go on vacation, but it really is totally different and not what I was expecting or hoping for at all.

I do think that this version is pretty crappy. I brought it after hearing all the great reviews about it for the PSP. Maybe I should have gotten a PSP instead and brought that version for it. I am sick of this ds version already. The games only seem to have a limited appeal to them - when there is only a couple a games they can grow tiring after not too long. Poor effort for a game that sounded good on PSP.

You guys must be confused. This is the PSP game forum. Not the DS forum for Thrillville 2. Discuss DS quirks there please.

It sounds like a really bad game, so luckily I have a PSP instead of a DS!

The thought of a port to DS makes me throw up. >_<
I doubt it'll be of any significance on the DS.
