I've been watching a lot more movies recently. Getting into the habit of submitting profiles and review them all, too.

Has anyone seen Spanglish? I love that film.

It's not bad, the mexican mom is hawt. It made a little controversy since she is portraying a mexican, when in reality, the actress is Spanish. But meh, I don't get it. Must be because of the accent or something.

mosenmori, The Matrix movies are a pile of doodoo. Jurasic Park movies, now those are good. Full Metal Jacket is too strong dude, shame on you. But it's one of the best movies ever so yea, I forgive you.

I was watching yesterday one of my favorite movies ever, We Were Soldiers. Then I watched Braveheart, which is even better. Really inspiring stuff. Mel Gibson = Probably the only actor that deserves respect.

I really loved Saving Private Ryan, it was a really touching movie, as was Braveheart. I loved how both protagonists portrayed their roles — those are the kind of movies I would buy. (Honestly, I have like 4 DVDs and 10 VHS movies that I cannot watch because I lost my last VCR to an electrical problem)

Hero... wasn't that the movie starring Jet Li? I saw the trailer and I became obsessed with it. I have yet to see it, though. Also, it seems Jet Li movies are very underrated. He's a very good actor; I really enjoyed Unleashed.

Sorry to change the topic a bit here, but what do you guys think about translations? When a big movie comes to Puerto Rico, they dub it in Spanish. Obviously, people are going to prefer the latter instead of the original, because it's the native language. However, the translation causes many parts of the script to be ruined (including jokes). That is why I always try to see movies in English (if the movie was originally that way).

What do you guys (and gals) think?

What do you see that's bad about them? Is it the amazing fight scenes, the complex story, or maybe...It being a kind of movie in which you must pay attention to get the story?

And yes, Hero is awesome! I loved the acting and the fighting was excellent too.

lol that's true. the same goes for books, and even music, they can never reflect the original language, as well as what the author was trying to communicate.

And...FMJ was a good movie at least! A great movie. But yes, it was too mature for me I guess. What about A Clockwork Orange? That was a great movie too! I loved it. Very neat. Though some of it was a bit innappropriate for me. I always thought it was about something else until I saw the movie.

Ragh, I don't know how you guys have so much time for movies. I wouldn't have the funds to be a follower, nor a complete 3 hour break during the day to do so.

I sure do need to watch Brokeback Mountain someday, though. That storyline really intrigues me.
