Riquelme vuelve al Boca Juniors
El argentino jugará cedido hasta final de temporada



Las discrepancias con el entrenador del Villarreal, Manuel Pellegrini, han forzado el futuro del jugador. Esta madrugada, el presidente del Boca Juniors, Mauricio Macri, ha anunciado que el futbolista Juan Román Riquelme regresará a las filas de su equipo hasta el próximo mes de junio, en calidad de cedido por el Villarreal español para disputar el torneo Clausura y la Copa Libertadores.
"Estoy feliz porque hemos concretado el retorno de Riquelme al club", han sido las palabras de Macri en la ciudad de Posadas, provincia de Misiones, en el nordeste argentino. Un día antes, el dirigente del Boca Juniors afirmaba que el futbolista se había negado a jugar en el equipo boquense sólo hasta mitad de año y que esa postura trababa su cesión, aunque admitió que esperaba "un cambio" en la situación antes de que hoy, jueves, se cerrara en su país el registro de traspasos.

En la actualidad, Riquelme no cuenta para el entrenador del Villarreal, el chileno Manuel Pellegrini. El futbolista ganó con el Boca Juniors seis títulos de campeón entre 1998 y 2001 y, un año después, pasó al Barcelona, equipo en el que jugó 41 partidos y marcó seis goles. En el Villarreal ha disputado 141 encuentros y anotó 45 tantos. Según Macri, Riquelme recibirá del Boca Juniors dos millones de dólares en los cuatro meses en los que vestirá la camiseta boquense.

Why are they playing Michel and not Talavera as keeper?

I thought the record at home was 1-2-1.

And they don't show the Mexican League up here in Washington. I'm stuck reading any game review I can find or just looking at the score.

See, that's what I'm missing at the Seattle Sounders games. The crowd response and the commentary was great.

That goal--Venado Medina's--was outstanding. I'm glad they showed the second replay, as I was having difficulty seeing it because of the light on the pitch. He lifted it right over the keeper, and it hit the last post perfectly to bounce in. Well, done, one of the best goals I've seen in any league all year.

Well, there is Galavision and Fox Sports on television, but Fox Sports Northwest shows more English Premiership games than anything else. And I don't know why I don't see it on Galavision.

Yes, I was mentioning the second replay on the Venado goal. And I am currently at school, but looking to move when I graduate with my MBA in 2010 (after the Winter Olympics are in Vancouver, 3 hours drive from my house). This summer I am going to be in San Francisco, so maybe I can catch some games then.

I had Direct TV once for 2 days, and it was a horrible experience. So I'll just have to rely on youtube...

Blue, I'm gringo. My brother and I are the only ones in our entire family (including Uncles, cousins, etc) that speak Spanish (and we both like Chivas, although he is partial to Necaxa as well). So don't really have anyone in Mexico to send me the games. That would be nice if I could get it off Sky, though.

Do you think Chivas will be able to maintain their lead in Group A? I'm still not entirely sold on Michel (but hten again, he is replacing Sanchez, so big boots to fill).
