sadly, yes. see, 100 years ago aang found out he was the avatar, so all the airbender elders wanted him to practice practice practice. but monk gyatso was the guy who is aang's mentor wanted him to have a regular life, so he didnt make aang practice all the time. so, the elders told aang that he was going to be sent away to the northern air temple. aang got really sad and ran away. he and appa were flying over the ocean and got lost in a storm. they almost drowned, but aang went into the avatar state and froze them and they were in suspended animation for 100 years. during that time, the fire nation found out the avatar was gone and attacked the air nomads and now theyre all dead except for aang

Hey, love the avatar. IN answer to you question, yes Aang is the last air bender... for now. You see the cycle of the avatar goes Earth, Water, Fire, Air. so after 4 more cycles, another airbender will be born.
i wonder where tho....

4 cycles? how long is one cycle? and how can someone b born in thin air!

You see, he meant rebuild as in rebuild a destroyed building, like they have water powers, and are in such cold places, they can make structures out of water, and the cold freezes them, but they can also freeze them.

How long is one cycle? a cycle should be one lap through the elements. So, a cycle should happen so another avatar is born with the air nomads, but you see, there are no air nomads as you already know; about how long is one cycle, you see, when the avatar dies, the avatar should reborn within a week after his/her death, so, how long a cycle is depends on how much the avatar lives.

Sorry, I think you misunderstood me, there are no airbenders, but there are people that love in the country of the airbenders. Air Nomads are the people in the country, and the air monks are just another name for airbenders that are in the Air Temples... I meant monks in my last post as any airbender.
