General Discussion 15 - The noob gets the GD - Page 29

The one thing that really bugged me out with In Flames was the screaming...though, when I saw them live on Gigantour they weren't that bad. Partially because the vocals were drowned out, partially because they were less screaming and more singing.

Children of Bodom was there and god damn they were awful. They were the opposite. The vocals were the only thing that came through without sounding muddled together. God damn it was terrible. Oh yeah, it wasn't fun how after EVERY song Alexi Laiho decided that he should call us mother*bleep*ers. I don't know about you, but that doesn't get me hyped. That makes me feel bad.

I'm going to quote Paul Baloff here...

"Heavy must stay together. All others must die." There's more to it but I don't remember it all off the top of my head.

I'm into fusion jazz a little bit but for the most part metal is all that can hold my attention. I just hate music that sounds the same. Especially black and death metal because it's so boring hearing the same god damn stuff over and over again. I don't care what you think, it all sounds the exact same to me. "LAWL LET'S JUST DO A BLAST BEAT FOR _ MINUTES WITH THE SAME DRUM FILL THROWN IN" and for black metal it's "LET'S JUST TREMOLO PICK THE ENTIRE SONG WHILE OUR SINGER GARGLES ON SEMEN" and for death metal it's "LET'S DOWNTUNE LIKE CRAZY AND THROW AS MUCH DISTORTION AS POSSIBLE WHILE OUR SINGER GROWLS BECAUSE THAT'S THE ONLY WAY TO BE SCARY AND SING ABOUT DEATH AND ALSO BE PHILOSOPHICAL"

AND GOD *bleep* THESE JITTERS ARE ANNOYING I AM NEVER EVER GOING TO DRINK THIS MUCH SODA AGAIN. It makes trying to type really annoying...;-;

On an unrelated note,

That's me, and three things should be noted;

1. I am not trying to do some faggy Myspace pose, it's just the way my webcam is positioned (I have to look at the screen to know what the hell I'm taking, obviously).

2. As mentioned above I took it on a webcam so the quality is terrible.

3. I am not submerged in darkness, but for some reason when a picture is taken of this room, it ALWAYS looks as though it is.
