Mr. Sigint -- Donald Anderson?

A theory here folks. Mr. Sigint is a specialist in weaponry and Donald Anderson was director of Defence Advance Research Projects Agency. DARPA. In 1965 Sigint joined ARPA. He took part in the development of ARPA net. Do you think there is any connection there

Loosely. MGS' has had ties to reality and such in every game. How they base their unreal technology in some sort of believable sense is due to the fact that the militaristic structure of these warring 'nations' is based on real world Govt., Intelligence, and Warfare.

And I say loosely because MGS' can take something realistic (like a Dept. within the Govt.) recklessly change it ever so slightly, then use that plot element to go completely ballistic with what so-and-so Dept. would actually be capable, or more importantly incapable of doing in real life. It's where Metal Gear falls apart, flat on its face. That in mind, I always wished Tom Clancy and Kojima would team up for a MG game, but then Splinter Cell focused that idea into a standalone design.

thats wrong

take mgs 2 for example, the idea of a group of a few men controling how everything operates is completely possible. of course we wouldnt know, of course we would consider the idea ludicris, but if it was really happening, it wouldnt be a very good idea to inform the public, would it?

for an example, take a president such as the recent one, George Bush, do you really think he is smart enough to run an entire country? no, he couldnt run a shop

re: Mr. Sigint -- Donald Anderson?

What do you mean "that's wrong"?

I never pinpointed anything for you to aim at dude.

Also, for your theories on the Presidency, heard all that in loungin' before, and as always, it sums up to "No proof, can't prove".

Assumptions like that muck up the point. Re-read what I said, it's a general statement, not a specific one. Last thing we need in here is a debate on how corrupt so-and-so Govt. is. What I was referring to was how a Dept. within the Govt. (look at their use in the Metal Gear Timeline at gamefaqs, there's many more than just one) doing things that in reality, they wouldn't remotely have permissions and access to do. Hence, and obviously, Metal Gear is a work of fiction, flawed in nature, but as a work of fiction this is to be expected and can be excepted.

re: Mr. Sigint -- Donald Anderson?

i meant thats wrong when you said parts of the government werent capable of doing things like in the game (the patriots controlling digital information flow) i thought thats what you were talking about, but your right, i dont want a political debate either

btw, its dudette, not dude

Dude, I basically think this theory is a crock of sh*t.
And I know you didn't come up with the idea yourself. I've just saw it on solidsnakegameshrine.

re: Mr. Sigint -- Donald Anderson?

I think its a possibility. SIGINT is 24 according to the bio on the radio in MGS3 and MGS1 takes place in 2005. so the age matchs. of course they are both african american and just ARPA and DARPA is such a coincidence i think it could be. kojima is good bc he gives the details and lets the player put two and two together and make our own conclusion. its like with what snake said to gene at the end. /Outside of your Heaven/ now who can say what that leads to?
