Pigeon Guide - Broker & Dukes

Introduction

I went looking for pigeons today and figured I'd write a nice guide so other people can also go looking for them. You'll need your paper map that comes with the game or at least, access to a map with all the street names on it as I refer to streets by name quite a lot, however once you've started the guide, you'll find it's quite easy to follow without the map, just by following the route I've explained. I tried to mention as many landmarks as possible so people don't get lost or miss their turnoffs. If anyone has not started pigeon spotting yet and does happen to use this guide, let me know if it's of tremendous help or just gay, so I know whether my time was well spent.

I do like to know if people think it's of great value, so please do post your feedback. If people prefer to use the basic guides elsewhere on the internet, that's the kind of feedback I like to hear also. I can't screen capture or provide video unfortunately so my FAQ work is always text based, but I personally find text walkthroughs just as helpful if not moreso than poorly taken pictures with very basic descriptions.

Index of Pigeon Guides

Broker & Dukes
    Pigeon 1

Check your map and at the southern point of Broker, you'll see two roads heading directly south into the sea. Go to the left one, which is Firefly Island on your map. Go down onto the beach when you get close and you'll see the "road" is actually a long pier. Follow it down to the water and you'll find your first pigeon standing on the sand next to where the tidal wave laps in at the shore, beside the third pillar from the water.

    Pigeon 2

Follow the pier back up north to the building and turn right. Follow the boardwalk a short distance east to the hotdog stand next to the "CORPSE RIDE" sign and hop over the fence here to the north. Look to your right and you'll see the abandoned Ferris Wheel, a yellow ticket booth, a Kentucky Derby stand and just off to the right of that, a Diddy Ride machine. Go round to the south end of the Diddy Ride machine and climb on top of it, then jump to the roof of the Kentucky Derby stand. From here, you can jump and pull yourself up onto the Ferris Wheel. Walk to the right hand side of the EYE sign when you've climbed up and look carefully at the supports of the Ferris Wheel. Between the red and green poles, you'll see the pigeon sitting pecking.

    Pigeon 3

Look at your map again. This time head over to the right hand southernmost road, which is the estate where Mikhail Faustin lives. Head down into it and take the first left onto Ketchum Street and stop when you reach the construction portacabin at the end of the street, the one with all the barriers in front of it. Facing the portacabin to the south, turn right and run across the street. Hop over the wall and pull yourself up onto the porch of the house here where there's probably two old people sitting on the bench. The pigeon is perched on the porch ledge.

    Pigeon 4

Drive back out of Mikhail's estate to the main road, which is Crockett Avenue and turn left. Follow the road left until you see the diamond shape on your radar and take the first right after this onto Wappinger Avenue. Enter Hove Beach station on your right and go all the way to the top and out onto the tracks. Follow the tracks left in an eastern direction until you see the rails of the SCREAMER fairground ride on your right. At the highest peak of the SCREAMER rails, above the SCREAMER logo, you'll see the pigeon perched. You can easily pick it off with a pistol shot. If you get a one star Wanted, run down the tracks east til you see them overlap below with more tracks and jump down onto them. Follow these east a short distance til you see a rubbish tip below you on your right and jump down onto this. You should be far enough out from the police circle now to run out of it. Return to the front of Hove Beach station to resume.

    Pigeon 5

Return to Crockett Avenue and follow it all the way west past the BRIEF FASCINATION store on your left until you see the three arches, a little band performance podium and the beach on your left. Pull up by the three arches and look carefully at the last arch on the right. On the supporting post, there's a pigeon perched on the top of it.

    Pigeon 6

Follow Crockett Avenue as it banks round to the right and heads north, on Delaware Avenue. Where the street intersects with Bart Street, there's a life preserver on the left and some steps leading down to the water. Follow them down to reach a wooden pier, where you'll find a pigeon perched.

    Pigeon 7

Follow the road back down Delaware Avenue onto Crockett Avenue and then travel east along it. Keep watching the store names on your left until you hit the AUDIO VIDEO TV APPLIANCES store and turn left onto the street just after it, which is Onondanga Avenue. Head north passing Garrett Street on your left and just after you pass Cody Street on your right, pull in. Look at the houses on your left (west). If you check your radar or map, you'll see you can squeeze down between them using the alleys. Go around the back and look at them in an eastern direction from the rear. The pigeon is perched above the brown doorway that directly intersects with Cody Street.

    Pigeon 8

Follow Cody Street east. Keep watching the right hand side for a pathway leading into the apartments past a rubbish tip on the right. Go down the path and turn right. The pigeon is perched on the fence dead ahead of you.

    Pigeon 9

Follow Cody Street east as it banks round to the north and goes under a CONJOINED TWINS advertisement. Take the first right which goes downhill into an alley on Ringo Street and then turns south. You'll see a ramp ahead of you. Use it to get onto the expressway loading ramp on the other side. It's not a hard jump so don't hit it at maximum speed. Follow the loading ramp up round the corner and watch the seperating wall carefully on your left. When it dips down and you're facing northwest, there's a pigeon perched on it.

    Pigeon 10

Change lanes and follow the loading ramp back down the way you came. When the unloading ramp splits in two, take a right to go down under the Excelsior 9 advertisement. Follow the expressway a short distance until you see the construction work on the left and smash through it onto the northeast corner of Mohegan Avenue.

From the northeast corner of Mohegan Avenue, follow Mohegan Avenue south and take the first right onto Ringo Street. Pass the turnoff on your left for James Street and look at the wall on your left. When you see the construction barriers, the pigeon is perched on the right hand side, on the edge of the damaged wall.

    Pigeon 11

Follow Ringo Street west until it banks left in a south direction onto Masterson Street and turn right opposite Herod's Market to end up on Masterson Street. Immediately turn right again opposite the derelict GLASS store to end up on Montauk Avenue and then take another immediate left to end up on Gibson Avenue, which goes down past the respray shop. Turn left and then right to end up on Tulsa Street, where the Perestroika Theater is. Go inside and go out through the back door of the theater to end up in the rear corridor. Take a right and go up the steps and out the double doors to end up in the back alley. Turn right and go up to the end of the alley where you'll find a metal fire escape. Climb it up onto the roof and then turn right and climb the second set of steps here to end up on a high roof overlooking the Perestroika Theater's entrance. If you look down, the pigeon is perched on top of it and you just about have a clean shot of it.

    Pigeon 12

Jump down off the rooftops onto the Perestroika Theater's overhang and use this to safely drop onto the street. Follow Tulsa Street west and turn right onto Mohawk Avenue and then left onto Mohanet Avenue, which leads down to Roman's taxi depot. Pull up by the bus shelter on the right, next to the Naval yard entrance. Climb on top of your car and from your car, climb to the top of the bus shelter. From here, jump to the grey roof next to the Naval yard entrance and hop over the small wall to the other side. If you now look across to the west at the Naval yard entrance, you'll see the pigeon perched on the western support pillar. When you aim, it'll likely disappear due to being too far away for pistol range but just aim and fire at where you think it should be and you'll still hit it.

    Pigeon 13

Drive down into the Naval yard past Woodfellas Builders Supplies and watch on the left for the tradesmans' entrance, marked by a rusted out scrapheap on the right as you drive in. Pull in to the rear of Woodfellas' yard and climb on top of the orange timber pile. If you turn and look at the rear of their building, you'll see a thick metal pipe running along it. Next to this are little air conditioning units. The pigeon is perched on one of them.

    Pigeon 14

Make your way back out of the Naval yard, up past Roman's taxi depot, right and then left to end up back on Tulsa Street where the Perestroika Theater is. Follow the street east and take a left to return to Oneida Avenue. Follow it north until it intersects with Cisco Street and turn right here into the official park entrance. Ahead of you in the middle of the park, you'll see a bandstand. The pigeon is perched around the back of it.

    Pigeon 15

From the bandstand, use your radar and follow the grey park path out onto the main road and then straight across the street to end up on Hickock Street. Skip the first right which is Onondaga Avenue and take the second to end up facing south on Saponi Avenue. Turn left onto Mohegan Avenue. Use your radar to locate the large alley and turn left into it. Turn left again to park in the rear in front of a garage. Look to your left and you'll see a small staircase leading up to a doorway, underneath a red fire escape and next to some piled up boxes. If you go to the bottom of this staircase, you can jump on top of the concrete handrail/wall. It's a little fidgety as Niko is hard to position but you'll manage it. Run up it to jump up onto the roof with the three blue doors. From here, just walk across onto the corrugated tin roof to access the third rooftop which has a pigeon perched on it.

    Pigeon 16

Drive out of the alley to the north, turn left and then right to end up under a bridge. Follow this a short distance north and turn right when you hit main road to end up on Sundance Street. On your left as you turn out is a corrugated red roof with a faded JERK N' GIZZADA logo sprayed on it in yellow. The pigeon is perched here.

    Pigeon 17

Spin round and follow Sundance Street west until you hit the massive roundabout with the archway. Turn right onto Montauk Avenue. Just after the turnoff right for Earp Street, you'll hit a PIZZA / SALAD bar. Pull in here. Across the street to the west, you'll see a bus shelter. Climb on top of the blue trash bins to the right and on the roof of the bus shelter, you'll see a pigeon perched on top. Be careful, there's a heavy police presence here.

    Pigeon 18

Head south and turn right onto Earp Street to head west along the northern edge of Outlook park. Follow the road's natural course until you see the BETTA logo backwards in front of you and a hotdog stand on your right. Turn right onto the pedestrian precinct where the hotdog stand is and head north. Drive slowly so you don't squash any pedestrians. The precinct eventually reaches a central part where there's a little sundial structure in the middle of a great number of steps. If you look west, you'll see there's no guard rail. Drive off here to reach the docks area. You'll end up in Chicory Street. Head west and turn left at the RON building and follow the road round south onto Mohanet Avenue. On the left you'll see a well lit blue overhang entrance (Brucie's apartment) and a green dumpster. Go into the alley where the blue overhang is and in the rear in the dead end alleyway, you'll see a fire escape over your head with the pigeon perched on it. If you're still on Brucie's missions and have a Brucie marker here, you'll need to start the mission before you can go into the rear to access the alley and fire escape.

    Pigeon 19

Drive north to the end of the street and turn right onto Mohanet Avenue again. Follow this road the whole way north on its natural course until you emerge out of the docks area onto Brunner Street opposite a RON service station. Turn right here and right again to get onto the Algonquin-Dukes expressway loading ramp. You must have completed Elizabeta's mission Blow Your Cover to access this bridge and pigeon. At the top of the loading ramp where you join the expressway, cross over to the opposing lane and continue west towards the bridge. You'll pass 14 pairs of support cables on the left, then a central support pillar and then the pigeon is sitting on the wall next to that.

    Pigeon 20

Return to the loading ramp that you accessed the expressway from and exit it again, turning right. On your left, turn left when you see Lopez Food Center, just before the Panoramic building and the 24h P PARK area, to end up on Cassidy Street. On your radar, just after the Lopez Food Center, you'll see an alleyway. Turn up into it to face north. Across the expressway loading ramp, you'll see a tunnel. Get out of your car and hop over the two walls of the expressway to reach it. As you enter the tunnel, you'll see huge iron girders supporting the roof. If you turn south after the first one to face your car and then look up, you'll see a pigeon perched in it.

    Pigeon 21

Reverse out of the alleyway and head east past the Schottler Medical Center. At the end of the street you'll face a massive Panoramic billboard. Head straight across down the street to the left of the billboard which is an extension of Cassidy Street. On the right are some terraced houses. The third set of steps here up into the houses has a pigeon perched on the top, on the left handrail.

    Pigeon 22

Continue down to the end of the street where you'll see a Unisex Salon and a Grocery Store opposite you. Turn left here onto Wenrohronon Avenue. On the right as you turn out is an apartment with a fire escape. The pigeon is perched on it.

    Pigeon 23

Do a 180 in the street and drive south on Wenrohronon Avenue and then turn left into Cassidy Street to drive east down to the end of the street facing a large park area. Turn left onto Tutelo Avenue and then turn right onto Pancho Street. To your left as you near the end of the street, you'll see a Burger Shot. At the end of the road is a Jennomic generator and to the right of it, partially obscured, is a large concrete slab with a pigeon perched on it.

    Pigeon 24

Drive north with Burger Shot on your right and turn left onto Carson Street. Follow this west past the 72 billboard as it goes uphill and then bends south past a Redwood advertisement. Turn right onto Cassidy Street to go past Schottler Medical Center again. At the end of the street, turn right onto Montauk Avenue. Drive north now til you reach the RON service station. Turn left onto Brunner Street and then take the first right to go down the steep hill into Creek Street. When you reach the diner, park outside it and head south towards the cobbled wall behind it. You'll see the pigeon perched across the street at eye level.

    Pigeon 25

Return to the RON service station and turn left onto Montauk Avenue again. Follow it north a short distance until you see the alleyway on your right, just after the Huntington Street turnoff. It's just at the corner of the Check Cash place. Drive down in and you'll see a basketball court on the right. The pigeon is perched on the backboard closest to you.

    Pigeon 26

Go back to the main road and down south and then left to take the Huntington Street turnoff you missed previously. You're under the train tracks now. Drive down towards the end of the street until you reach the Huntington Street train station. Go up the steps into the station and turn right. On your right are three ticket machines and behind that, the roof of the steps you just came up. The pigeon is sitting on it.

    Pigeon 27

Follow Huntington Street east and skip the first left turnoff at the large intersection. Go up the hill and take the second left to end up on the rich looking Stillwater Avenue and then take the first right onto Ellery Street. Follow this until you reach Lynch Street station. Drive a vehicle up the disabled access ramps on the right hand side of the steps and use it to jump up onto the roof of the station. Carefully climb across the station roof in a northern direction until you reach the roof of the building across the street. To the right is a small building which houses the access stairs to get into the building. The pigeon is perched in the foot of the doorway.

    Pigeon 28

Drive down to the end of Ellery Street in an eastern direction and turn right onto Saratoga Avenue to head south. You'll see the railway cross over this road. Look up at the support beam of the bridge and on the left, you'll see a pigeon perched.

    Pigeon 29

Drive back up Saratoga Avenue to the north and look out for the RANCH signs on the right, they are large black and white banners. When you see them, turn left into the street to reach Carrollton Street. Take the first right onto Cleves Avenue and look on your right. The first apartment building entrance is inset and has a green overhang entrance. The pigeon is perched on top of it and depending on the time of day, may be difficult to spot at first.

    Pigeon 30

Head north and turn right at the top of Cleves Avenue onto Tudor Street. Pass the Community Theater and the Fellowship School of Learning on your left (the brightly lit buildings) and turn left onto the muddy track just past the buildings. You'll see a pump station on your right obscured by trees. Hop out of your car and go over to it. There's a pigeon perched on the left hand wall.

    Pigeon 31

Check your map and look at the Meadows Park area you're currently in. West of you across a road are two circular buildings, which are abandoned circus tents. Head over to the south end of the larger of the two. You'll find what looks like a set of locked doors. Walk up to them and push against them to open them and walk in. The pigeon is at your feet.

    Pigeon 32

Join the north to south road on your west, which is Stillwater Avenue, and head south on it. It leads uphill into a nice white and pink blossom tree neighborhood. Keep following it south until you reach the turnoff on your right through open black gates that lead onto Middleton Lane. You'll see massive fountains ahead of you as you turn in through the gates. Turn left and then right on the pathways so the fountains and pond are now on your right and stop in the middle of the westbound path you are on. To your left is a large leafless tree with a plaque at the foot of it. The pigeon is sitting looking at you.

    Pigeon 33

Take a right and then a left so you're now exiting the park at the opposite side to where you came in. Turn left out onto Savannah Avenue which runs under the train tracks. Heading down south, you'll see a row of terraced houses on your right before the road bends off southeast. Pull in and park at the last one then go up the steps and into the house. Climb two flights of stairs to reach the roof and then go around the back of the stair housing to climb onto the steeped roof. The pigeon is sitting atop the chimney here.

    Pigeon 34

Exit the house and drive down the small grass bank to the left of it in a western direction to end up on Livingston Street, which goes west past Cerveza Heights Medical Center. Turn up north on the first right here to end up facing uphill on San Jacinto Avenue. Drive up the hill and turn left at the traffic lights at the top of the hill to end up facing west on Bunker Hill Avenue next to a building on the right with blue banners outside it. Look up at the top of this building's southeast corner. See the hollow windows at the tallest part of the building? The pigeon is in there. You'll need to throw a molotov or grenade through the center window to bag him.

    Pigeon 35

Follow Bunker Hill Avenue down onto Livingston Street, where Cerveza Heights Medical Center is facing you and turn right onto Livingston Street. Drive straight across Dukes Boulevard onto Hooper Street and continue west on it until the buildings on the right end and the road starts to turn northeast. Drive down the grass bank in a north direction at the end here between two concrete support pillars to end up on a plain concrete platform, which is the roof of the tunnel for one of Jacob's missions. Drive off the top and enter the tunnel. The pigeon is standing on the ground not far inside.

    Pigeon 36

Exit the pedestrian tunnel and head north, to rejoin Franklin Street, next to the river. You'll see a huge sign for STEINWAY PARK and two large concrete pillars with spaceship shaped concrete structures on top, on your right just after leaving the tunnel (the tunnel's path leads up to this park). Enter the park to find communal pools and look right to see one of them is fenced off. Hop over the fence and climb the diving board to find a pigeon standing on the guardrail at the top.

    Pigeon 37

Return to Franklin Street and continue north. Follow it as it turns round to the east and then park up when you reach the intersection with Concord Avenue at the top of the hill. Hop over the wall to the north into the cemetery on the corner. Go north past the groundskeeper's hut and through the first little stone arch then turn west and look down the hill. On the top of the second groundskeeper's hut at the bottom of the hill, there's a pigeon sitting on the end of the roof.

    Pigeon 38

Continue east along Franklin Street. On the right hand side, you'll see a long concrete wall begin on the corner of Tinconderoga Avenue. Pull in here at the corner of it. To your north on the other side of the street, you'll see some very leafy trees and several large boulders. Cross over and walk amongst the boulders. Under one of the leafy trees, you'll see a pigeon perched on a boulder.

    Pigeon 39

Go south down Tinconderoga Avenue. Take a left just before the Dental Center to enter the alleyway where the Darts Club is. Turn right and drive up it, along the backs of the buildings. You'll see the pigeon perched on a wooden fence on the left.

    Pigeon 40

Go back out onto Tinconderoga Avenue and turn right at the end of the street to head east on Morris Street. At the first intersection under the railway track, on your left, just behind the green tinted support pillar, there's a tree with a pigeon perched in it.

    Pigeon 41

Continue east on Morris Street. A short distance away, you'll see construction barriers closing off the steps to the Dukes Boulevard railway station. Slip in behind the one on the left and climb up the steps. On the platform in the rafters of the roof, you'll see a pigeon nestled. Police interference is extremely likely.

    Pigeon 42

Return to the roadside and turn left at the end of Morris Street to head north up the side of the railway on the construction laden Brandon Avenue (mind the pipes). On the bend here which swings west, you'll see the guardrail is broken, giving access to one of many Unique Stunt Jumps. Get out and look underneath the ramp, where you'll find a pigeon.

    Pigeon 43

Follow Brandon Avenue round to the left as it heads west and becomes Franklin Street. Travel along it and turn right when you get the opportunity to go downhill in a north direction on Dukes Drive. It bends east, continue on it a short distance until you see the recreation area on your left with lots of picnic tables. If you head in here and head a short distance east, you'll find a little children's climbing frame with a pigeon perched on it. There's a police foot patrol in this park as well unfortunately.

    Pigeon 44

Continue east on Dukes Drive and watch the wall on your left carefully. At the end of it where it stops and there's a left hand turn-in for a parking area, a pigeon is sitting on the wall.

    Pigeon 45

At the foot of a tree just behind the wall on Dukes Drive where Pigeon 44 is sitting.

    Pigeon 46

Follow Dukes Drive as it bends southeast and becomes Hewes Street. Pass the toll bridge on your left and drive straight across the Broker - Dukes Expressway and up the hill underneath the railway track. Turn left through the metal gates into Walton Lane. Go down to the end and turn right onto Stillwater Avenue, then immediately left just after you come out of the metal gates to end up heading east on Tudor Street. Follow Tudor Street for some time now as it enters Francis International Airport grounds and then turns south. Turn left on this road as soon as you can to head towards the airport buildings down a hill in an eastern direction. At the bottom of the hill, turn left into oncoming traffic. Follow the bend past three advertisements as it loops around the airport building and as it turns south, pull in by the "i" information stand, in front of the Welcome to Francis International Airport terminal entrance. Go in and go up the two flights of stairs to end up on the railway platform. Cross the tracks onto the engineer's walkway (yellow paint) and follow it north to the second of two flyUS hangars. You'll see the railway intersects with the southwest corner of the flyUS building. Jump over the railing here to land on the roof then run east along the south face of the building to reach another roof where there are air conditioning units. A pigeon is nestled in the middle of them.

    Pigeon 47

Go back down onto the road and follow it south as it goes back down between the two main terminal buildings again. Turn and look at the eastern building on the left. You'll see it has two rather large holes on the left and right. There is a pigeon nestling in the hole on the right. Either run up the concrete as high as you can and toss a molotov or grenade into the hole or enter the terminal building on the right and climb the stairs to reach the railway platform and track again, where you can snipe it from.

    Pigeon 48

Between the two main terminal buildings at the south end of Francis International Airport, you'll see two pay booths and two barriers. Facing them in a south direction, there is a pigeon standing on a post to the left of these two booths, next to the main road that is beside Pigeon 47.

    Pigeon 49

Check your map and look at Francis International Airport. The > shape is where runways converge and in the easternmost point is the control tower. You'll need to have completed Luck Of The Irish for Elizabeta in Bohan before you have a sniper rifle to hit this pigeon. When you trespass on the runway, you have broken federal law and will instantly get four star Wanted so be quick. Run east towards the control tower and keep stopping and checking the topmost rail in the middle part with your sniper rifle to see if you are close enough. The pigeon is standing on the guardrail at the top. Snipe him and then get out of there. The best way to escape is to kill NOOSE when they arrive and take one of their Enforcer vans.

    Pigeon 50

Return to Dukes Boulevard and head north on it until you reach the Harrison Street intersection, where the Bank of Liberty is. Turn left here onto Harrison Street and enter the opposing lane (left) and continue west towards the bridge. Halfway across, when you reach the bridge's first main supporting pillar on the left hand side, you'll see the pigeon sitting on the right of it, perched on the wall.

    Pigeon 51

Check your map and you'll see two bridges connecting Dukes with Bohan to the north. Go to the right bridge and access the shoreline underneath it. You'll see the bridge is supported by a series of concrete platforms and two support pillars the whole way across to Bohan. The pigeon you need is sitting on the middle of one of these halfway out but you'll need a boat to get it as you can't climb out on those platforms when swimming. Assuming you have a sniper rifle after completing Elizabeta's mission Luck Of The Irish, use it to snipe one of the people that occasionally fly up and down the river in a speedboat and then swim out and commandeer it to reach the pigeon.

re: Pigeon Guide - Broker & Dukes

Wow, this guide looks really good. I just went and got the first 2 pigeons easily with your description on where they are. I look forward to the other 170 locations The question is,... are you up to the task?

Seriously, I wouldnt have even looked in those first 2 spots for a pigeon. At least I know what they look like now.

re: Pigeon Guide - Broker & Dukes

Cool man, good to hear it was of use. I'll update it with the other pigeons in the forthcoming days. Those 30 are just the ones I got yesterday.

re: Pigeon Guide - Broker & Dukes

Updated now to 47 pigeons. Most of Dukes and Broker pigeons are now covered. I am missing a few critical ones that I can't currently reach. When I can reach them, I'll complete the guide.

re: Pigeon Guide - Broker & Dukes

How hard would it be to create a map of the pigeon locations? Like instead of discribing the directions form the last pigeon to the next one, could you label a point on a map showing the area the pigeon, then a description as to the exact location its at.

It would make it a bit easier for those that get a few pigeons, go do something else, then go back and do some more.

There is one here, with pictures of each pigeon if it would help:
