Preparation

Surviving six stars is no easy feat. The police will cut you up without a second thought after 3 stars, so it's important that your locale and equipment are just right. To survive this method, you'll need:


M-16
Sniper Rifle
Body Armor
RPG Launcher

Make sure your weapons are fully loaded and you're in good health with full armor before starting, as there's no way for you to reload or get health once you're bunkered in for the fight.

Look at your map and locate Bohan. At the top of Bohan, you'll see the Northern Expressway. Greene Avenue intersects with the Expressway and it's at this point that you'll be making your stand. If you go here, you'll find a tunnel mouth for the subway system next to a grass embankment and a chainlink fence. Don't damage the fence when you arrive as it's important for the strategy. Get yourself two stars by shooting people at the nearby hospital or the main road and then go a short distance down into the tunnel, just about 30 feet or so and then turn and watch out of the tunnel.

The police will come at you from two places. Either, they will run down the grass embankment on your right and shoot at you through the chainlink fence, or they'll run the whole way down the chainlink fence and come around it to head back up towards the tunnel. Be very wary of the guys who come down the embankment, they'll get clear shots at you if you're not deep enough into the tunnel for cover. If those guys can't see you, they'll run down the fence, which is what you want them to do. The view down there is a little hazy but you can still make the police out even if you can't lock onto them. Use your sniper rifle or M-16 to pick them off but use clean shots, don't spray or shoot wildly, as you'll need to conserve your ammo. You'll have to kill around 40-50 cops and don't want to run out early or your range will be severely compromised, as will your survivability.

When you reach periods where there's currently no police, slowly emerge from the tunnel and try and RPG the choppers or snipe the pilots, then run back inside the tunnel. You'll soon rack up stars doing this. When you have six stars, just keep carefully picking off the police coming down round the fence until your five minutes expires and you get a notification that you got the achievement. Don't let any police get near you or go into cover, or you'll get overwhelmed.

When you get your One Man Army achievement, turn and run down into the tunnel and follow the tracks. It's about 5-10 minutes run to Frankfort Avenue subway. The trains will start coming at you on both tracks midway through your run so be aware of this, stick to the middle of the tracks and don't shoot anymore, you'll not be disturbed by the police. You'll leave the police Wanted circle before you reach the station, which means you can climb out and walk out of the subway a free man, complete with your XBOX Live achievement.

Or you could jack a helicopter, fly it over an island that you've not unlocked (if any), and fly around for 5 minutes -you won't get hit.

I just run around for a bit, chilled in ym safehouse, went back downstairs, shot some peeps up, back to safehouse.

Whats illegitimate about flying around in a helicopter? I can easily drive over to one of the helicopter tours, steal one, and then fly around over an island I havnt unlocked yet. I did that yesterday and still got the achievement just fine.

Nice guide Kuds, but I think mine was much easier. I got about 1,000 Pistol shots, 1,000 Mp5 shots, and 100 shotgun shells. I got my 6 stars with only a pistol, then hid in my apartment entrance, covering behind the entrance to the door, up a short set of stairs. The Noose would rush in, and I'd just shotgun them or MP5 them blind firing the whole time. Once I got the achievment, I made a mad dash for all the ammo that was dropped, and got more back than what I started with, then died. Your way was nicer in the fact that you lived XD.

i got it by running along the train tracks to another island and on the bridge theres a spot where the helis cant get you and neither can the officers and plus there is no trains since the island is locked.

i thought it was simple to get it.

I got mine by just getting in a huge truck you know the ones with the two pipes sticking out the front, i got out of it and ran over a border, got back in and drove around a freeway for 5mins till i got the achievment, got out and got blasted to death XD

Well staying alive and actually earning the achievement are the key elements here. Any fool can get 6 stars, fly up in the sky and not get shot or drive around in a truck then when it's over, get killed. Using the method I wrote, which isn't complicated, it's just set out in easy to follow steps for anyone that wants to try it, you can earn the achievement and walk away unscathed. I'd be keen to know if anyone actually tried it this way.

I actually could of earned this because I ended up crossing the bridge when I wasn't suppose to. I flipped and landed in some place below the ground where the cops didn't show up.

Being the dumbass I am, I left and got killed.

I earned the six stars legitimately and then jacked a heli in Algonquin and flew it to the top of the Empire State building. From there, I just crouched behind the wall and shot any guys in helicopters who tried to take me out from above. I got the Achievement and then jumped off the building, just for fun and because I didn't really want to be bothered losing the wanted level on my own. You fall a LOOOOOONG way from the top of that building, haha. But that's an excellent strategy Kuduros, I might see how long I can survive like that at some point after completing the story.

I went to the safehouse in Bohan, and stood at the top of the stairs facing the door. I shot anybody how came in the door for 5 minutes. I got the achievement, went into the safehouse and slept, thus losing the wanted level.

You probably won't survive though...

1. Steal a Helicopter for the Helitour Activity.

2. Fly to an Island you haven't unlocked yet.

3. Fly around for 5 minutes.
