saving colin

I have the iron boots when i go back to Kakariko Village i am sent to save colin so i go jump the gate and get killed in 5 seconds every time i only have the sword and wooden sheild the sheild gets burnt and i die in 5 seconds every time. have tried to return but cannot get through so im stuck there to do a task.
but dont know how to defeat and kill them all.
please help....

That jousting part was a pain for me too, you just need to get the feel for it. Right he's comming move away to avoid his attack then go back towards him swinging your sword. As for the wooden shied, i got the metal one before i even started up the goron mountain. Its real easy just ride around collecting ruppees (theres a purple one in your house in the basement, and i think another one some where in Ordon village).

Im not really sure what your trying to say here with the can't get back somewhere

To get back into Kakariko you need to jump a couple fences with your horse (the ones you dug under as wolf Link)

As for the rupees i forget how to get a bigger wallet though look it up in a walkthrough i guess

Are you talking about when he's abducted and paraded around on a stick in the field? If so, go and buy the hylian shield from .. Malo? That short bossy kid. He's opened a shop that's across from where the Elder has his sanctuary place. Anyway, then you just run around with Epona, and slash around with your wiimote to kill the guy with the stick, holding Colin to it. At least, I think thats what you're talking about?
