Increasing your Rank.

Is it just me or is the way you increase your rank really flawed??

I'm at 5th Dan with Sarah, I beat a Master yet the rank bar doesn't increase at all. I beat a 6th Dan and it increases a little bit. I beat a 5th Dan and it increases a lot.
However if I lose against a Master or anything above my rank the Rank bar will decrease slightly. How is that fair??

So let me get this straight. The only way to increase your rank is by beating someone of the same rank, but you can't choose who to fight against. Which means you could suddenly come up against a 9th Kyu and lose which will decrease your rank bar. Or come up against a 9th Dan and win yet your skill level won't increase.

Someone explain as it's ridiculous.
Why doesn't the bar increase even more when I beat someone of a higher rank??

Yeah, this doesn't really happen with Tekken. lol

Anyway, does sound a bit naff, but I suppose that, that's something to stop you from doing it too quickly. Not that everybody would want it but yeah. Atleast it's not too major.

That means that you should wait before fighting the Masters and concentrate on those of your own level. At least you've figured out how it all works.

It's not so good if you can't choose your next opponent, though. lol

Just choose one of the arenas that suits your level best.

check your player list titled special. your ranks after 10 dan are in that same order.
