Looks like the sequel will be called Resistance 2: Rise of Man. If you go here it mentions the name as well as a PSP Resistance being probable.

good enough name for a sequel... makes sense and ties in with first one and then they can base the storyline roughly around when humans are re-building the civilisation there are still small Chimera groups here and there you need to eradicate and also power struggles between nations...

seems like a halo move, the aliens attack first than the humans attack the aliens on their planet.
