Flash & Thunder Map Pack

When I read 'original' I thought the new maps were reworkings of existing ones, but these are from KZ1. I never played it but these already look amazing, sort of like Helghan Industries and Salmun Market which are probably my fav so far.

same, i always got lost round the edge of southern hills though...im a bit of a dumbass lol cant wait

Anyone know how much they will be? Same price as the other map pack I'm guessing?

They'll be US $5.99 just like the last pack. It's still kind of a rip off, so I can't decide If I'll get it or not.

I downloaded the Flash & Thunder Map Pack last night but I haven't played it yet. Cost = £5

From what I've played, these are better than Wasteland Bullet and on par with Vekta Cruiser, which I liked a lot.

Beach Head: Intense. If you're in a full game here, you're fighting tooth and nail the whole time, and most likely dieing a lot. It's really just constant chaos. I did feel like the ISA side had an advantage over the Helghast because they could more easily trap you at spawn, but this is made a bit better by having two 'safe spawns' for the Helghast side instead of the normal one.

Southern Hills: This map isn't really anything special based on the general layout. You have a big, multi-leveled fort in the middle, 2 bases on opposite sides, and some debris/tower on the two remaining sides. There are a lot of places you can snipe from, but smaller guns can work well inside the fort, although I wouldn't really call this much of a shotgun map.

The fun comes from the nuke. If you're in the middle of a fight and the siren starts blaring, you stop shooting, chuch some nades, and run like hell until you get a roof over your head. You get at least 10 people dieing from every nuke, sometimes 20. It's friggin awesome.

What happens is that you tend to get emo sometimes and then purposely miss out on games because reviews don't call it the end-all-be-all game.

dmf dynasty said it perfectly. This pack pwns Steel & Titanium by miles. Beach Head is a lot different than I remember, but the whole place is open war, sniper heaven as it were. Each side has their own exposed (but perfectly placed) sniper spot looking over critical spots (like Defend spots). Southern Hills is actually a lot harder if your team can't get the fort, since it's pretty much the only haven from the nuclear shockwave and not to mention the center of the map. The gun nests in the fort are almost useless since they are placed in wide open windows, making you think twice before using them anyways.

All in all, both maps are great, and I just wish the trophies were a little more than just "kill 5 people while *insert class attribute*".
