I was thinking about getting this game, since it went down in price. I was wondering if it was worth the purchase, or wait until FNR4 comes out. Also, is there any multiplayer to play along and face someone online?

I had Fight Night Round 3 on PS2. The gameplay was the best boxing game of its time, and the graphics were quality, but the Graphics on the PS3 are probably the best graphics on any game so far, and the gameplay is the same on all consoles.

I was pretty much hooked on it for ages, the career mode is quality and pretty deep. You can start as a created boxer or re-build a real boxers career. You can move between weight classes and win all titles if you want to. You get a rival, and you get all the exciting build up to your next fight with him, and all the bust ups at the weigh in etc. One downside is that it gets quite repetitive.

This game does have online play, but ive never played it due to me not having online on ps2. However, the multiplayer is quality. If you have a couple of mates around, this game is quality, nothing better than getting a one hit ko on your mate.

Now i was thinking the same thing as you... Re-buy it on PS3 or wait for FN4. FN4 looks Alot better than FN3, in all departments, but if you can get FN3 for cheap i highly recommend it.
