Horse Hunting |
|
I am using PC version of the game, so unable to do the horse trick.
Was wondering what the best way to hunt for those elusive heavenly/consider horses is. I generally do easy Guan Du (cao cao's forces) with lv50 Liu Bei and lv30ish Yuan Shao (he has lady luck already obviously) with 2 "find saddle" horses. Best horse i have found is "royal king" who has find weapon, renbu gait, and 497 speed Was wondering if anyone knew of a better way to do this or....any advice i might be able to use. Thanks so much.

Hello, I just thought I'd add something.
After countless hours of horse farming on the XBOX version between Gaun Du, Han Zhong, Chang Ban, and Shi Ting, I finally got a Red Hare King. Here's the scoop. I was farming for hours and hours on end, probably 4 or 5. Just got dapples and auburns and such, and one shadow. Anyway, I noticed that every time I did this I was spending a minute or two or each level. I thought meh, couldn't be much. As the time trick works, and doesn't require a lot of time. But I got bored of it and decided to level up Zhao Yun, on Han Zhong, Lu Bu's forces. I stayed with Lu Bu the WHOLE level through, to pass the time. Took a while, about 30 minutes of playtime. The last general dropped a horse, so I took it without thinking about it. I get to the horse screen and I get this: Royal Sun Red Horse: It's eyes consider the world and it has a heavenly physique. I jumped up verrryy happy :] The time was 4:10 on May 27, 2009. The other horse I got was a rare to. C/H. So could the time spent on a map be a variable? This was on Master BTW.

I actually just got done doing hei fei castle (wei) on master with lv.50 liu bei and a find horse saddle. Wish I could have had someone playing yuan shao for me but I do not, and I think he'd probably get killed pretty fast if he was sitting around unattended.
Anyway, I didn't get anything great. But I may try it again. Might try it on chaos once or twice...but I tend to get the stuffing kicked out of me when I play on chaos level lol.

Yeah, the time spent getting that damn thing was veeerry frustrating
And thank you :] I spent about a week horse farming before I got him so just don't give up. You'll probably get him when you least expect it like I did. Ugh, yeah, chaos is a bitch. I just don't mess with it

I have been horse hunting a couple days now. Not religiously though, because been working and studying (mandarin chinese appropriately enough).
By the way. With Chaos, I find it best to be very cautious and go back to friendly bases to heal up every time I start to get low. Also, Gan Ning is probably my personal choice for chaos mode, he's probably the toughest character IMHO.

Just got done doing hu lao gate-lu bu's forces-master. With Liu Bei and a "find saddle" horse. Took me about 30 min as well.
Got a terrible horse, unfortunately. lol

Ha yep, just keep trying. Xu Chang huh? Might have to try hunting there. I hunted for a few days before getting Red Hare. Honestly, after getting him, I kinda feel like it wasn't worth it, haha. He's only increments faster anyways

Man, the method you are using is probably the best to use. I use that same method myself. I've been trying to get a Red Hare King for almost a month, now. So far, all I've gotten are four Dapple Kings, an Auburn King, an Ebon King, and a Grey King. The one red horse I do have has a 500, 500, 432, 500 stat, which I got him at Lu Hao Gate. By the way, all but one horse, I received without using a character that has LadyLuck.

I have all the C/H horses in my roster now. I found 2 grey kings, 3 auburn kings, a red hare king and a shadow runner king in just 2 days. I farmed up on guan du, cao cao's side. I had player 2 which is lvl 50 zhen ji to collect the crate near the southwest post on the map and i had player 1 which is lvl 50 liu bei to rush into the enemy main camp and kill yuan shao. Both players must be on a horse with find saddle. Train each horse with a lvl 50 lu bu in guan du and get more than a hundred k'os. The horse will turn into a king horse. The title of the horse depends on the colour of the horse. A red horse will get u a red hare king.
