So, we've all heard that this will be an action/RPG. What do you guys think this means? Is it going to be Kingdom Hearts style? Something New? Will your party be AI controlled or will you somehow be able to control more than one character? Magic? Summons? How is Nacht's ability to summon a ring of swords going to play out in actual battles? Discuss it all!

I don't know if you can actually assume that at this time. That seems to be a pretty concrete opinion about a battle system for a game that has pretty much ZERO information out on it, so far.

I have heard it will follow the FFVII: DoC action route, but who's to know for sure?

From watching the trialer, the battle system looks like fun. I wonder how it would work with more than one character....

Does KH have pretty much the same looking battle system?

Absolutley. A revamped Star Ocean 3 battle system would not be out of the question, and I think could work very well! As you said, it IS a SE battle system to begin with!

Anyway, my initials thoughts as to how this game would work was that when you got into a random battle the fights would be Smash Brothers esque. Large open battle fields and hard hitting combos. You'd have a party of three and would fighthordes of 5-8 enemies. Simply deplete their HP with attacks and then the battle is over. And even if thats not the battle style of Versus they should make a game where it is.

I also assume he meant the FFXIII trailer and not the Versus trailer, but I figured I would give him the benefit of the doubt, as we are in the Versus forum talking about the Versus Battle System, so his post would not have made a whole heck of alot of sense if he was talking about the FFXIII trailer.

But like you said - the Versus trailer does exist.... hopefully we can see it sooner, rather than later.

Word. Lord knows this is the first place I would come with it, if I found it....

I think it will be something reasonably unique but possibly with hints of the DOC style. But like others have said there is so little information availible at the moment that it's hard to conclude much if anything about it.
