This is even more retarded than what Capcom is doing with their on disc DLC. Let me get this straight, SE want us to pay 60$ for a third of the game and then extra to get the middle part and the ending? No thanks, I'd rather wait another six years and pay only 60 instead of whatever they're charging.

I'm gonna snap some necks if this turns out to be the case.

Unfortunately I will probably do this if I enjoy the game enough but man if this is their style for releases in the future I will stop buying their games all together.

I hope Square realizes that this will DESTROY the game's value, too, right? If, for some reason, DLC becomes unavailable, no playing the rest of the game for you. 5-10 years down the road? PSN/(possibly) Xbox Live is shut down, any system without the last 2/3 is screwed forever.

And what will happen while this going on, anyway? Release 1/3 of the game, then we wait another 2-3 years for the next part, and another god who knows how long for the last part, then FINALLY we get a full retail copy?

Just get the job done. Please. I don't know what is taking so long, and if it's the story, for God's sake simplify it so I don't have to spend another 3 hours making an explanation thread for the rest of my fellow fans who didn't understand a word of what was happening in a 60 hour game.
