Versus not expected to hit Japan until 2012 - Page 2

I hope this 'snag' had better mean that the game will be the most epic thing to hit our shores... you know, before the world ends and most of us are devoured by zombies

Seriously though, all these delays it might as well be a PS4 release.

They're are seriously taking too long just to do 'finishing touches' with Final Fantasy XIII Versus.

Some how, it feels like the people just want to extend it as long as possible to make us grow impatient, and buy the game as soon as it comes out, after all some people actually waits a while 'til the prices go down a bit.

Versus Forever.

...this game probably won't come out until 2013 in Japan. It's getting really frustrating to wait until it's release. The game will surely be good, I personally am not pessimistic, and I really don't think that people get higher expectations while time passes by, just that they get bored as hell... The atmosphere is good. The story seems promising. IDK, I just hope that we will get SOME INFO asap.

Y, and that is another important topic, the whole obscurity about Square Enix. WHY do they keep stuff from their fans, and people who would play their games? It rly doesn't make any sense... They lose publicity. Why is it so important to release some information as a part of an expo, or a game show, why can't they just talk to the press...? They are so hard to figure out...

Especially since their team keeps getting diverted onto these alternate projects all the time. I remember when they were four years into the project, and were announcing that they had finally completed their conceptual stage.

It was pretty much "You've had this game under your belt for FOUR YEARS, and you're only in the conceptual stage NOW??"

Ya know, I've been thinking about this game recently, what with an English Type-0 confirmed and XIII-2 and all, and it occurred to me looking at how long the game has been in works, what all they've said about it, and the current games released for Fabula Nova Crystallis.

I wonder if they're having trouble developing the game? I wonder if they just can't get everything to come together and work properly. The game was suppose to push the limits of the PS3, just as Type-0 was to the PSP. With Advent Children quality NORMAL cutscenes, full on Kingdom Hearts action RPG style gameplay with varying fighting styles between characters, pilot-able mechs, and perceived quick time events, and enormous open world type world with a world map is a LOT for a single game. If you look at the current gameplay and trailer from January 2011, it does work, with some choppiness and awkwardness (such as a Behemoth crashing into Ignis and him not even flinching) and the game looks magnificent, but how long can you get that to work before the system or game crashes and/or glitches up?

I don't know the specifics in the technology behind the PS3 or Blu-ray technology, but I'm just opening that up as a possibility. I mean, look at XIII. It was originally suppose to have the Cinematic Action that was in XIII-2, and it wasn't, and XIII-2 only used it for large bosses, and only used extensively for the prologue fight.

I'm still losing my patience for this game, but the more I think about how mediocre XIII and XIII-2 did and how great Versus XIII looks and how great it will be when it all comes together, it does give me some patience back.

I'd like it if they just made the story slightly or completely different like Type-0 and call it something else to differentiate it from the FFXIII name and to get things moving.

In fact, slap the name Final Fantasy XV on it and go with that. There, you've officially been working on FFXV for 6 years, and that's why it took so long.

TBH I don't even care what it's called at this point. I just wanna play the damn thing lol.
